- Knox (8/5): - The apartment was modern and well equipped. The motel is in a great location opposite the gold mine and talking tram terminus. The only issues were first that the bedroom was very dark. The only "windows" are skylights, which had closed blinds with no way to open them. Second, the apartment is the lower floor of a townhouse and the noise insulation from the upper floor is poor. We hear loud clomping noises as the guests in the other apartment walked around.

- Lenise (8/5): - This property is very well presented. It very close to the Central Deboral tourist mine and the Bendigo Tram, so very convenient. Easy to take the tram during the day see a lot of the tourist sites and shopping, instead of trying to find parking. The unit itself was very comfortable, great kitchenette and lounge, dining area, comfortable bed and clean spacious bathroom. Very nice. The staff were uber friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend, an would stay again.

- Kerry (8/5): - Thr property has obviously been renovated at some stage. There were marks on walls and water damage to the bathroom door. The room was clean. It was attached to the hotel and also provided room service. We did find the motel a little noisy. The neighbours were very noisy to late at night and also early in the morning. It would also have been great to have the room serviced.

The noise from the main road passing right next to our apartment was the only real negative as it did keep us awake the first night. Would use again but might ask for accommodation a little further from the road.

- Kylie (4/5): - Great position for walking into the cbd for dining options. Apartment new and clean with good washer dryer. Bistro meals good. Bed was terrible felt like sleeping on a rock. If you are in a downstairs apartment the noise from the apartments upstairs is nearly unbearable, every step or movement above is heard below. Cleaners were so noisy smashing the vacuum cleaner and banging up and down the stairs, cleaning started in empty apartments from just after 8am. Double check small print as one bedroom apartment only has a microwave, kettle and toaster and states that cooking is not permitted even though it says Kitchenette, therefore you are more likely to use bistro. No BBQ facilities either. Not a restful stay at all!

The apartment is modern, has all the amenities you'll need (incl. Washer/Dryer) and comes with its own garage with a roller door. Located just across the road from Central Deborah Gold Mine; super convenient to get around the main attractions of Bendigo. Will definitely be back!

Beds were reasonable, spacious, with upstairs balcony and table/chairs, a good well equipped kitchen, two bathrooms/toilets (one en suite) and functional tv/lounge area. Good for the price - would easily accommodate more than the three of us!! Was further out of town than expected (on main road out of town), it seems that a car is assumed - even a double garage for unit. But walking into town and back was a bit tiring.

Little difficult for people with mobility/movement issues with using the shower, it is over the spa, this needs to be taken into account when booking. The bed was hard and uncomfortable for us. Could hear people on top floor walking and pulling out chairs, quite noisy. TV reception was terrible! Lounge suite could have been more comfortable. Had a garage but wasn't offered?? Position in city centre is great but guests need to be made aware of where entrance to motel is? Our stay could have been better.

- Dorothy (6/5): - The National motel was nice looking with modern bathroom and some updates to bedroom, but the bed was hard!! Checked out the mattress and it was one of those commercial mattresses with no comfort layer on it all. This made it very uncomfortable. We tried the pool and that wasn’t heated, but as it was a hot day, that was refreshing. However, the spa was closed and from reading the sign, had been out of action for a while. Would have been nice to be told of this when booking or even checking in as would have stayed elsewhere as we were looking forward to a relaxing spa. On check in, I was asked did I want some milk for a cuppa? Why wasn’t it already in the room? And a sign in the room saying that due to COVID, they no longer service rooms daily. Boy, if we were staying longer than the nigh, I would have wanted the room serviced for the price. But the worst was the TV which had constant pixelation and made it impossible to use. As it wasn’t a smart TV, that made it unusable. I honestly would have to look elsewhere to stay next time from this experience.
- Katy (10/5): - The staff were really lovely and friendly. The room was great. Getting up the stairs with two really heavy suitcases was a little difficult but we coped. Having the bistro right next door was super convenient. Also having access to a laundry was just brilliant as we had already been away from home for well over a week and really needed to do some washing. The gentleman behind the desk was really helpful, even changing some notes into coins so we could use the machines. Would stay again but if we had big suitcases we would ask for a downstairs unit now that we know that there are stairs.

Cleanliness, staff, updated freshly rooms & ensuites & showers, facilities, safe parking & having the beautiful 4star meals in the bistro a couple of metres from your room or room service is absolutely 5 stars in my opinion! I’ve tried about 5-)6 diff in Bendigo & this is now the only place I stay if needing to break my trip & avoid staying in melb or catching up with friends!! An extremely friendly clean country pub & accommodation! See you in nay for a night or two on our return from Bali on an overnighted flight

- Sharyn (6/5): - I’ve stayed at the National many times prior to C. However I feel it’s gone downhill or hasn’t been kept up to par or with the times…perhaps a smart tv or Chromecast. Half the standard tv channels don’t work. There is a DVD player in the room with no DVD’s. The original room we were given had a sticky floor and dust all over the TV unit. It also had a funky smell. We were then given another room. The walls were dirty, the bannister was missing paint and plaster. The fridge was leaking internally. One face washer for two people is not cool. The bed linen was clean, there Is a swimming pool, although the liner wasn’t clean. Convenient to the pub for meals and the owners were friendly enough. If you’re just looking for a bed, it will suffice.

The hot tub was also out of order which was one of the reasons we wanted to stay there was to enjoy the soak after a long day of being out.

- John (10/5): - Apartments are clean, spacious, modern and perfect for larger families.
- Erin (10/5): - Amazing stay for our family of 6! We had apartment 35 it was so big and comfortable. The pool was great, the pub at the complex was some of the best food we have ever eaten.
- Chan Hsuan (6/5): - Our unit is on the ground floor and has one bedroom. We initially believed that we could park our car in the next private garage, but we were surprised to find that it was not feasible. Second, the first level was where we resided. The fact that there were further rooms above surprised us. The residents upstairs were walking quite noisily, and we could hear it. I don't know if they intentionally walked loudly. The sound insulation was also quite bad.
