Fabulous steaks in the dining room...best ever. The room was a bit smaller than previous stays there, ... Staff are welcoming and friendly. The shared kitchen facilities, with good size fridge is clean. Breakfast, coffee, tea and juices all there for when you need. See you again.

I needed a hair dryer to dry my hair after shower and friendly staff immediately went to source me one. However, next door neighbour (old white male) on 75A creepily took photos of me and harassed me about parking on public street in front of his house during the stay on Christmas Day. Overall a very nice stay until the neighbour living next door rudely watched and harassed me in public.

Verified traveler (6/5): Pub Accommodation - The 'hotel' was rooms above a pub. There was no lift, so baggage had to be carried up two flights of stairs. There was no en suite facility in any of the rooms; it was described as 'shared bathroom'. Although we were told there were 4 bathrooms shared between the 10 bedrooms, we only found 2 of them; there were no signs to indicate that they were bathrooms. Everything looked recently decorated, however there was a lot of mould on one of the bathroom ceilings. Our room was clean & comfortable. The balcony door was screwed shut with the two screws protruding from the door. The three Windows had blinds, of which two of them had a missing slat and the balcony door had a window with no blind at all. We were woken up at around 6am both days by the pub staff's crashing around cleaning & vacuuming the pub area. There was also a beer delivery at 7 ish am.

Tracey (8/5): Best pub stay - For pub accommodation the Burwood Inn is exceptional. The place is spotless and the staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. I gave a 3 for facilities as there is nowhere to sit and have a drink and cigarette, so if you are a non smoker, I would highly recommend. I would highly recommend to anyone actually as I was truly impressed

Fully renovated share bathrooms (4) with rain head showers. Breakfast room down the hallway upstairs - fully stocked with continental breakfast food, sit a kitchen table & chairs. Restaurant downstairs- friendly, helpful waitresses and good food. Parked in street just outside pub in quiet residential area, close to beaches & coastal tourist drive.

Chatty man OZ! (10/5): Burwood Inn Merewether 10/10 True Blue! - The location is superb and beaches a stone throws away, Staff and Management are exceptional. Showers to die for all though shared no big deal and is walk up so if you are disabled it won't suit you! Food in restaurant is out of this world, beer cold and tap and wide selection. Venue is refurbished beautifully. A home away from home and I'll always call the Burwood Home ! Obviously noise from the Pub will flow up and the Continental breakfast kitchen, awesome. Parking is on grade Street but i rarely had a problem and was safe. Finally Staff like this make Australia Great again. The last of the Mohicans !
Michelle (10/5): Just right for overnight - We stayed at Burwood Inn overnight because it was close to our party venue. We could walk to the beach and to the Surf Club. It was perfect for our needs. The rooms are neat and clean. The bathroom is just across the hallway. We enjoyed staying there. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Sean (10/5): Surprisingly Perfect! - I needed a place to stay quick without knowing the area. The bar downstairs had all kinds of great, boutique beers on tap, the staff were friendly quirky and helpful and the restaurant was amazeballs! The accomodation and amenities itself was slick especially considering the price. If it weren't for being on a tight schedule I would have easily stayed another night.

I was a bit worried about the shared bathroom but once i was there I saw it was a complete room you can lock with a shower, toilet and sink. The bathrooms were beautiful and I would recommend getting a room just to use the awesome shower! The staff were helpful and friendly, they went above and beyond to assist me in finding my way around. I had no problems BUT I would like to remind people that this is a pub. I was there on a Tuesday night and it was noisy, I'm not complaining and neither should anyone else. Great value, beautiful building, great staff and great showers! Top job, 5 Stars!
Stephen (8/5): Great Experience, Highly Reccomended! - I don't normally book rooms in pub's, but I looked at the pictures and thought, let's give it a go! The price was cheap and the place looked ok! Then I turned up, and was so surprised to turn up in a very busy and vibrant pub. The pub and restaurant were both full and the atmosphere was great. I ate in the restaurant and had a lovely starter and great steak, service was great too! I then stayed in the bar area whilst the quiz night was in progress and had a couple of beers after my long day! The rooms were basic but ok, considering it's guest house style accomodation! The shared bathrooms were high standard with nice clean tiled floor to ceiling walls, a powerful rainwater shower, and there are three to service six guest rooms. There is also a kitchen area upstairs on the same floor as the guest rooms and this is stocked with all tea and coffee facilities, bread for toasting, cereal choices, milk and juices, which you can help yourselves too at your leisure!
