Guest Reviews
- Wakako (10/5): -
- Kristian (6/5): Will stay again for convenience but the standards are dropping unfor - Very convenient location The rooms have not been properly cleaned - just the basics. The pillows were stained & stunk, cobwebs & bugs in most cornices.
- Mitchell (7/5): Comfortable for a night after the footy. - Ease of access to shuttle bus for CBUS Water pressure from shower wasn’t ideal, bathroom size was a little on the smaller side.
- Jackson (8/5): Overall great place to lay your head down. - Considering it’s a hotel/Bar/Gaming room it was nice and quiet in the units. Not enough car parks lol but not major it was only one night that was busy
- Shane (3/5): Sleep was terrible. Itched all night - Staff great. Food and beer excellent. Woke up with bites all over my legs.
- Mathew (7/5): -
- Sheenagh (10/5): - Great stay

- McNiven (8/5): We'll be back. Son sussed it out and has planned his next footy venture. - Location. Close to the footy. When we walked in to see receptionist, the atmosphere was welcoming and full of people. Gave good vibes. Couldn't work out how to get hot water in the bathroom at 6am in the morning. Shower and basin hot taps did not run hot water. Had a fast cold shower.

- Tracey (7/5): It was a quick overnight stop on our bigger journey and it fit the bill without breaking the budget. - The staff at check in were lovely. Bar stafff were great. No breakfast options

- Ben (9/5): Convenient location, the pub and facilities itself is top notch. Price reflects accommodation provided - Convenient , location Room windows could do with a spruce up and some paint on the bathroom roof. Outdoor area unkept, likely not cleaned for months
- Tanner (7/5): Good -
- Jackie (10/5): - Clean, super accesible to live music A little small. Windows and balcony not too private
- Sajan (8/5): -
- Gary (7/5): Good location but too expensive for the experience - Good location. Very pricy for the amenities provided.

- SeanMulcahyAustralia (8/5): - Great pub with live music. Food was nice and rooms external to the pub Nothing

- Nicki (9/5): - Great location. Clean and nicely presented rooms. Good feed from the bistro and lovely staff. Only negative was lack of privacy unless all blinds and doors were shut. I would have loved to have a window open for some fresh air without people being able to see in from front and back. Only a small negative compared to all the positives.

- Kellie (4/5): The staff need more training and understanding of what it’s like to tidy up and keep a restaurant clean and don’t forget - Location Staff kept the outdoor restaurant messy and walked around doing nothing

- Michelle (7/5): Wallaby Hotel - Location Bathroom needed a deep clean. There was a layer of dust on tv which needed to be wiped down.
- Carmel (8/5): Very convenient as we attended the 80s night at the Hotel All staff were friendly and helpful. -
- SUnil (9/5): - All Nothing
- yvonne (10/5): A nice relaxing stay - A good big lively pub Not great public transport near by
- Ann (5/5): - Aircon was good ,very cold , which was needed.Easy checkout . Room was not cleaned well , shower screen very dirty, full ashtray on balcony, old towels . Wasnt expecting too much from an old hotel....
- David (7/5): Simple but honest. - Breakfast fixings in the room was a lovely surprise and being able to get a meal from the pu's restaurant was dead handy, especially after a cruel day.
- Antonia (9/5): - Lovely Hotel that has been beautifully renovated recently. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the meal in the restaurant was very good.

- Glenn (8/5): Perfect for my needs on this occasion. Very comfortable and convenient. - Comfortable room with all the necessities. Good convenient location with plenty of food options nearby. The tv didn't work on the final night/ morning. Seemed to have lost internet connection. Otherwise everything was great.
- William (10/5): It was ok - Good was great Plastic cups so early. Not a fan of drinking beer out of plastic.
- Catia (4/5): - Parking right outside the room Room smelt like smoke. Had to walk through the pokies to get to reception

- Kris (7/5): - Perfect to attend the venue for a concert. Very friendly staff. Meals were FANTASTIC! Room was not clean and didn't feel overly secure. Bed was not comfortable, sheets were not clean
- Frances (9/5): Good stay, would definitely stay here again. - Clean room Could hear the people in the adjoining room clearly.
- Darryn (9/5): Ok - Location Tv
- Anne (7/5): It was ok. - It’s a pub. Nothing fancy. It was quiet and clean. A few restaurants and cafes within a very short walk. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. There isn’t a lot of accommodation in the area so there is a lack of competition to help with pricing. I felt it was expensive for what it was. We had booked for two nights and there was only enough coffee and breakfast packs for one night. We could have asked for more I’m sure, but didn’t as we expected the room to be serviced and it wasn’t. No biggie but it’s the details…
- Rob & Jac (8/5): Great stay - For a brief 2 night visit, it was perfect.
Not sure if my wife would agree if she had come, but it was convenient clean and comfortable. The walls were a little thin...you could hear everything next door...

- Rose (10/5): Awesome stay!! Thank you!! - What an awesome place to stay. Gorgeous Pub. Great rooms, great feed and lovely staff!! Was right near our event venue also. Thank you!! Nil
- Melanie (9/5): -
- Carol (8/5): - Clean, everything we needed
- Jeanne (8/5): Nice 2-night stay - The beds were very Comfortable. It was nice having a kitchenette for making coffee and a frig for our food. The shower was a good size and water pressure was also good. The restaurant was convenient and the food tasty. We had a room with an adjoining door. We could hear our neighbors clearly.
The bathroom had no hooks or racks for hanging any towels.
The shower had no rack for toiletries.
- Belcham (8/5): Well worth it - I was going to a local event so the location was quite advantageous. Thanks. I know it couldn't be helped, but there were ants in the bathroom.
- Tracey (8/5): -
- Gavin (8/5): Pretty good for a pub hotel. - Nice, quaint and quiet spot offering a change from the classic Gold Coast tourist areas. Spacious room, with a decent kitchenette and bathroom vanity. Fridge worked well and was stocked with 2 packs of UHT milk. Bathroom toiletries were quite nice. No complaints at all on the the housekeeping. The staff were also helpful - we arrived on a Friday evening and looked lost with the bar busy and band in full swing, but they spotted us, then asked if we were there for accommodation and helped us get checked in. The hotel rooms are tucked well away from the bar, so we didn't really hear any noise from the band. There was under cover parking for hotel (not pub) guests, although that wasn't signed that clearly so we didn't realise it until the next morning. Water from the shower would get through the gap in the screen and seep into the carpet outside the bathroom. I used a bath mat to stop it but I suppose a guest shouldn't have had to do that. The curtains were a bit basic and took a bit of fiddling about to ensure privacy, which was important as the main corridor is just outside. There's a tree nearby with birds screeching loudly first thing in the morning, so don't expect to be able to sleep in. The air-conditioning is effective and modern for what it is, but it is a window unit so it will be noisy for those who're used to split units.
- Joanna (7/5): Always pleasant - Staff are polite and friendly. The morning petrol leaf blower.
- Felicity (10/5): - Whilst the rooms don’t look like much from the outside, the inside has been revamped and all facilities were clean and modern. Bed was also incredibly comfortable! Staff were brilliant- they were so welcoming and friendly and could not have done more to assist me in an impromptu early check in. Not only were they sympathetic to a weary mum travelling interstate for one night for a wedding, they quickly arranged a cool drink for me whilst engaging cleaning staff to get my room ready almost two hours before usual check in time so that I could have a rest before the event. Thank you Wallaby Hotel!
- Sashikumar (6/5): -
- Robyn (10/5): - Nice and clean and friendly checkin staff
- Terry (10/5): - Great pub
- Craig (10/5): Great spot and very clean rooms . We would definitely stay here again. - The kitchen was great, undercover parking was excellent.
Proximity was perfect for our needs. Hotel Patrons were parking in accommodation parking spaces. We’re not told about the one day key, had to reset it for next night after being locked out.
- LI YU (10/5): -
- Giles (8/5): -
- Christine (5/5): - Location close to food, surrounding amenities ere goid. Accommodation was sound proof. Staff attitude not friendly. Tea/coffee facilities need to ask continually for more. Unit dusty, verandah dirty, leaves cobwebs, had not been swept for months. Curtains looked like had 2 spots of dried blood on them.
- Tracie (7/5): -
- Phillip (7/5): -
- Gavin (8/5): - Great spot and convenient
- wayne (8/5): - An older style building that has been updated inside, comfortable beds, warm shower, good aircon and good undercover parking (if you get in before the “entitled” pub patrons who seem to frequent theses parking spots, even though they are designated for motel guests!
TV works, a nice touch to have cereal packets and milk in the fridge for a light breakfast.
Outside noise could be a problem, with a pump or similar on adjacent property making a racket.
I’ve paid more for far less at other motels, so all up good value for money.
Finding the motel section and checking in is difficult, only because of the configuration of the surrounding roads, nothing to do with the Wallaby Hotel.
Staff are helpful, meals appear good in the bistro.
- brooke (9/5): -
- Steven (8/5): - Great staff and food+beverage
- Grant Stewart (10/5): - clean rooms, friendly staff, great location, walking distance to all major supermarkets
- Mandy (9/5): Great old pub in a great location 👍 - It was a great place to stay and was able to catch up with friends and family for a drink. I was a bit worried it might have been a bit loud at night but I didn’t hear a thing. I would definitely recommend it if you like a pub atmosphere
- Moya (8/5): -
- Deeanne (6/5): Would find somewhere else to stay next time 😢 - It was convenient location and the staff were amazing - beyond amazing to help us We had a very long day of driving and were very tired but when we tried to sleep there was a lot of noise from the hotel - screaming children in the playground and then noisy patrons until 3am !!! The bathroom needed a lot of cleaning!
- John (10/5): - Close to shops and coffee. Two live bands were playing in one of the restaurants during dinner, so there was free entertainment.
- MD SABBIR (8/5): -

- Richard (8/5): - Designated parking would help.
- stephen (8/5): - good. cheap clean and close to where I had to work
- Arun (10/5): - Very neat and tidy. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. Although breakfast was not included when we booked the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to find Weet-Bix, cornflakes, milk, and other items provided in the room. Overall, 100% happy with our stay.
