• Dkedward (10/5): - Beautiful building, was a really old hotel. Really clean, good size rooms and beds. Staff were helpful, especially as i arrived late after reception had closed. Nice and quiet, maybe i just go lucky but no rowdy guests when i stayed. Reception closes quite early for check in but late check in can be arranged.

• Innes (7/5): Decent accommodation for short stay in great location. - Lovely location right on the cliff front with parking and under 10mins to the Main Street & beach. The view was lovely and the kitchen is well stocked with equipment and storage place. The bed in a double room was comfortable and had aircon. There’s only a couple toilets for all the rooms and they are pretty far from most rooms. The shower was not very clean nor were the toilets. The private room was small and very simple. A bit overpriced for what it is tbh.

• Elham (9/5): Ci tornerei volentieri - Personale super gentile e disponibile, sempre sorridenti e pronti per 2 chiacchiere. Stanza pulita, letto comodo, asciugamano fornito e bagno vicino. Tutta la struttura aveva un'atmosfera tranquilla, una sensazione di pace e leggerezza con piacevole vista mare e super vicino a tutto. Luce principale in stanza debole, ma ogni letto ha una lucina piuttosto forte quindi compensa. Non c'era un cestino in stanza. Avendo i pavimenti in legno, si sentono i passi di tutti (però lo menzionano in struttura e chiedono a tutti di avere un po' di accortezza).

• Tim (7/5): - It's near the beach. I was able to check-in late (though I had to remind them I was going to be late) The room was very clean. The kitchen was clean and well organised. Staff are on duty only a few hours of the day. They don't acknowledge you as you pass their workstation. It was unclear if I was supposed to put my linen in the dirty clothes basket. The price for a small room without a desk, chair, air-conditioning and in an almost dead country town seems high. Certainly much higher than a better appointed and larger room in Melbourne CBD. As a late arrival in addition to my name and phone number I had to provide my birthdate. Wouldn't a statement I was over 18 have been enough?

• Helen (9/5): Very pleasant and a lovely location, close to the beach and sounds of the ocean nearby - Love the location and lovely building. Chelsea was very welcoming. Some of the furniture is a bit tired-looking and stained but it is a hostel. Wasn’t much to dislike about the property.

• Glen (8/5): A great stay - For a hostel, it was in a prime location and the staff were brilliant. Yes the hostel is quite basic, but it was all very clean, friendly and quiet when I was there.

Non c'era una presa vicino al letto. La tapparella non si chiudeva del tutto quindi permetteva a chiunque fosse sul terrazzo di guardare dentro la camera.

Die Zimmer und Sanitäranlagen waren sauber, aber in die Jahre gekommen. Das Hostel hat eine tolle Lage im Ort. Die Ausstattung und das erhaltene Zimmer im Erdgeschoss blieben deutlich hinter den Erwartungen der angezeigten Bilder. Zimmer hellhörig, Boden knarzt.

The overall feel of the place was stunning with coastal views from the balcony in the common area. Much to enjoy here. The air con was older and didn't work very well on an almost 40 degree day. The room was a bit small and views from the room were limited but the price was very affordable, still we would stay here again.

• Joshua (10/5): Clean & comfortable. - The facilities were incredibly clean, the staff were friendly & attentive, location was calm & quiet! Unfortunately the doors can rattle through the building as well as the floor boards. But it is to be expected in a building of that age.
• Madelaine (8/5): A pleasant stay by the beach - The staff member who checked us in (I may get the spelling wrong - Shukran, or he said he also goes by Sean) was really lovely and welcoming. The updated bathrooms are nice and the location by the beach is great. Lots of free parking nearby too. Noise travels very easily, and unfortunately some other guests decided to shout in the common spaces at 6am, which woke us up, and we were unable to get back to sleep. The room was a little expensive for what it was.

• Ruby (4/5): If you don’t have a lot of luggage, you can stay there, but be prepared for noise from outside — like guests walking by, - Good location, nice staff The room was too small for three people. For showering and using the toilet, you have to go outside and share with other guests staying there. And there is only one bathroom and one toilet for all the rooms, so you have to line up and wait for your turn.

Good hostel facilities Communication in advance of stay was a little difficult - all channelled through central YHA rather than straight to property. Main issue: the price for the private room with ensuite was way out of line with the room provided, and in comparison to share room price about 1/5th of what I payed. Paying full service hotel price for a tiny tiny no-service room, billed as sea view (which led me to expect front balcony-facing room where main sea view is), but instead a back parking lot-facing room with tiny bit of sea at top of window. If you're looking for a bargain no frills, loo-down-the-hall stay in a fabulous location, this place is terrific. If you want more space or comfort, probably the only room to consider here is the large, lovely family suite facing the front.
