Lyle (7/5): OK. - The complex is big and cavernous. The rooms are large. The cleaning was not up to scratch. There was soap residue all around the sink and burrs in the carpet. Needed more care and attention.
Colin (7/5): Nice Motor Inn I'd imagine when it's not so busy. - The room was clean and tidy and the lady at the reception was very nice. The motor inn has very well-kept gardens and security gates that close after 7:30pm (You get a code to open them) Car spot out side your room and I'd imagine it would be great for children as there was a good sized pool in the central courtyard. We stayed here while travelling through Goondiwindi and unfortunately arrived during a very busy weekend with the Goondiwindi Cup and a motocross event in town. Accommodation was at a premium, and had I known, I would have chosen to stop elsewhere. Racegoers returned late and continued partying outside our room, so we didn’t get much sleep. The Motor Inn is also located near the highway, and the noise from passing trucks was noticeable. With demand so high, the room rate was around $100 more than their usual price, which was disappointing. It would be helpful if Booking.com highlighted major local events or unusually high pricing so travellers can make more informed choices. I did notice some good accommodation options in town closer to restaurants and pubs, so I may try one of those next time.
Sao-Levene (7/5): A quick overnight stopping place that suited my purpose. - The staff were friendly for the brief moment we interacted, check in. The room was clean, decor fresh. The room and bed were small for a large person like myself. Hence there being no space to fit a dining table.

Cecil (6/5): OK for one night. Goondiwindi is a nice town. - It is a modest country motel with a nice swimming pool. I loved the fact that cars are safe inside a gated compound. The rooms are neat and clean, but outdated. I disliked that guests could smoke in front of their rooms, which brought the smell & secondhand smoke into our space. The shower tub was extremely slippery and would be dangerous for older people

Wilson (8/5): - The Jolly Swagman is very well maintained and clean. Our young family stopped here twice as a halfway point when travelling to our holiday destination. It’s very convenient, and the kids can burn off some energy in the pool after a long day of driving. The managers go above and beyond—they even posted an item back to us that we had accidentally left in our room.
Robyn (10/5): Jolly Swagman Happiness - Easy check-in after a long hot day of driving. Didn't get to use the pool there. Clean and extremely tidy Motor Inn. Great airconditioning. Unfortunately onsite restaurant was closed. Security gates after hours, felt very safe indeed. We chose to drive into the main street given the hot temperature. Would definitely stay again. Very quiet location. A credit to the managers/staff as grounds inside and out were exceptional.
