- Christine (8/5): Great for a few days away in quiet views and good scenery around the area - The host was very helpful on arrival. Lovely scenery and very quiet except a little road noise nearby. Things that could make these cottages more comfortable. Pictures on the walls and a rug on the timber floor to make it more homely, get rid of all the cobwebs in the ceiling, the lounge had alot of dust in the corners and the bathroom skirting boards had not been cleaned for some time. The shower rose in our cottage was broken, we managed to temporarily repair it but it needs looking at.
The BBQ showed on the balcony of the cottage was not there, just a small electric bbq which mneans we would have had to cook inside. These are not complaints but suggestions for improvements.

- cathrine (8/5): Overnight R&R - We stayed at the Valle Cottage, one of the five beautiful cottages. Great location, very clean, spacious & with beautiful views.
Highly recommended ❤️ Not a criticism, just a personal preference:
We would have given 10/10 if it had: (a). retractable awning on the balcony to protect from the rain & the sun to enjoy the beautiful views from the balcony.
(b). memory foam topper for the bed for extra comfort.

- Michelle (9/5): We absolutely LOVED IT! - The hosts were amazing all the way through, from the initial booking, right up until we left. We stayed in the Garden Cottage, which is tucked away and very private. Although not a raised cottage, the view was still beautiful!
- Penny (4/5): Very average . Would not recommend - It was nice and quiet The property is dated.
We found it was overgrown and needed a bit of care. The pictures on Booking.com doesn’t look like the property now.
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Karen (8/5): Cosy, comfy, tranquil cottage - The peace, quiet and tranquillity of the location. Clean, cosy and comfortable. Host was very helpful 🙂 Lack of shade on balcony.
- Selena (7/5): Short and sweet stay. Thank you - Location was convenient for our purpose. The photographs were however deceiving- looking like cabins came with a spa however this was not the case. Host Charmaine was beautiful and the caning had high end quality linen and perfectly clean and comfortable. The outside was a little over run and it was lacking any personal touches. We have stayed many locations and lots of different accommodation for less money and felt this was over priced In comment above. The animals were so friendly and healthy.

- Rachel (9/5): Views to come back to - Very friendly hosts, love the scenic drive to the place and the lovely views to wake up to with the background of friendly birds singing sweetly. Kitchenette and washer/dryer available which is always a bonus for travelers. Hosts have great advice when we asked for restaurant recommendations. We’ll be back!
- Russell (8/5): A delight to stay. Will come again. Consider offering some able guests a discount to garden for you. - The personal welcome and friendliness of the owner. The quiet and peace to come and go. The ability to self-cater including both an electric bbq in the room and one up the hill for group gatherings. Lovely and clean with a lot of space. Place a tea towel in the room. The view has been significantly reduced through the growth of trees and branches that, with judicious pruning, would give back those views we had a fire years ago. Area is in danger of being overgrown with weeds and creepers.
- Dale (10/5): -
- Lizzy (10/5): - The location was amazing, close to Dayboro as well as the wedding venue.

- Jacob (10/5): - It was absolutely beautiful, relaxing and well maintained
- Amy (9/5): A peaceful mountain escape with cozy cabins, friendly staff, and playful animals - Our stay was nothing short of magical. The location itself was breathtaking—nestled in nature with sweeping mountain views that we enjoyed right from the comfort of our cozy, beautifully appointed cabin. Every detail of the space felt warm and inviting, making it the perfect retreat to unwind and reconnect.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, adding a personal touch that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our visit was the chance to interact with the charming animals on the property. The goats and llamas were gentle, curious, and full of personality. Feeding them and spending time with them was such a joyful and unexpected treat—it added a playful, heartwarming layer to our experience that we’ll never forget.
Whether it was sipping coffee on the porch while watching the sunrise over the mountains or laughing with the llamas in the afternoon sun, every moment felt special. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming of our next visit.
- Robert (9/5): highly recommend staying here the views are absolutely amazing!! - absolutely every thing, view, comfort of bed, early check in the wood on the deck is at bit rotten, it still safe but will need attention soon,
- Robyn (10/5): - Charmaine the host was very friendly and helpful she gave me information on transport and other questions about the area. Nothing was too much trouble. Private views of the valley and close location to the village but far away enough that we felt we were in the forest and mountains. Cabin was immaculate and had all we needed. The goats and llamas were a bonus. Would absolutely stay there again and again and hope to return again in the near future. Definitely go to the pub for a drink and and the sugar mill for a meal.

- Nicole (1/5): Torturous experience - The property is in a nice location. I was extremely disappointed to hear what happened to my parents at his accommodation.
I booked this accommodation for them, hoping that it would be a lovely stay for their 45th sapphire wedding anniversary.
For the entire night a branch scratched against their roof, which was so bad that they got absolutely no sleep. They have taken videos of it, and I can attest that is a loud screechy noise that sounds similar to a plover and they had to listen to that for 18 hours.
This was a torturous experience for them, and they had an absolutely horrible wedding anniversary because of it. They actually considered going to sit in the car rather than continue listening to it. They would have left during the afternoon/evening but they were worried about having a car accident driving on the wet, windy roads late at night.
My mum rang the owner the next day and was told that the trees on one side had started to be cut back, but the other side is still due to be done. I don’t think it’s acceptable to put customers in that cottage, where they will be to listening to that hideous repetitive noise, when they are paying $240 for the experience.
I contacted the owner to voice my disappointment and request a refund. She said that wasn’t possible as my parents didn’t contact her that night and give her the chance to cut the trees down, or move them to different accommodation. My parent didn’t consider it would be reasonable to contact the owner in the middle of the night, and said that there were cars in front of every other cottage so they assumed they were all booked.
- Robyn (9/5): Comfortable, peaceful, and idyllic location. - Beautiful valley views. Friendly and responsive host.
- Brado (10/5): -
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional - Tranquil setting to sit and relax , great views from the bed .
Great staff
Keep up the great customer service , will greatly recommend people to stay there 👍
And the 4x4 training with Brisbane hinterland 4x4 training well worth it NOTHING
- Kim (10/5): Brilliant hosts, great location. Will be back! - Beautiful mountain view with crisp fresh air! Lovely and clean. Hosts were so friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We’ll be back for sure!
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shanika (10/5): Such a beautiful, tranquil place. Will be back! - Gorgeous! And the hosts are just as lovely. Would absolutely stay here again.
- Jacqueline (8/5): - A wonderful and peaceful stay. A good book and a breathtaking view is what I needed. In the morning I snuggled up with a cup of tea and watched the sun rise over the mountains.
The comment of uncleanly bathroom refers to the mould in the grout.
The cottage was beautiful, open, clean and well lay out. The furnitures size fit the room well. I look forward to returning
- Sue (6/5): Average - The outlook and view were lovely.
It was quiet. The bathroom towels were very small and very thin. There were only two provided which meant washing hair was challenging.
It lacked the extra touches we may have expected for a wedding night experience.
- Dawe (10/5): It was comfortable and great location - View and comfortable bed Spa bath a little difficult to get into but nothing major
- Dominic (8/5): Staff lovely and helpful. Perhaps a little pricey for what you get. - Beautiful surroundings. Very limited access out of the property by foot. Basic facilities.
- J (10/5): Exceptional - Charmaine met us when we arrived and was so welcoming and helpful.. Nothing!
- Ben (10/5): Great stay at Daybora Cottages - Beautiful location. Fantastic communication prior to checkin from Charmaine. Cottage was beautiful and it was lovely to meet the llamas. Was a freezing night but the cottage was lovely and warm. Was wonderful to wake up in the morning and be greeted by the goats below our cottage. Very close to Daybora Village if you need something but far enough to be lovely and peaceful Nothing
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional - Great location for multiple wedding venues in the area, the owner Charmaine was lovely and welcoming. Due to being on tank water, it took awhile for the hotwater to heat up, but after it did it ran perfectly.
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved the stay!! Charmaine was amazing and so accommodating. The place was clean and great to stay in.
- Esther (9/5): Superb -
- Natasha (6/5): All in all was a very beautiful location. - Beautiful view. Very peaceful. The bed was very uncomfortable.
- Flavia (10/5): Hidden gem in Dayboro - Dayboro cottages were such a pleasant surprise. Charmaine has been very friendly and helpful since the start and always very responsive. The place was a beautiful hidden gem in the countryside surrounded by cute llamas. The cottage has everything we needed and it was very clean. 100% recommended. NA
- Michelle (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at Dayboro Cottage. Check in and out was seamless. The cottage was clean and spacious. The owner was very friendly and communicative and the llamas were absolutely adorable.
- Connaghan (10/5): Lovely stay! -
- Yoko (10/5): Great experience! Loved it! - Beautiful view and verandah for breaky, comfortable bed, amazing bath and clean and spacious. The animals were also great and added a homey feel. Friendly and helpful staff. Very impressed 👏 We loved everything..but, to make it even better, if there was a shower separate to the spa (rather than over the spa) that would be an awesome bonus.
A walking track would also be an awesome addition.
- Soumya (10/5): Idyllic location, warm and friendly host, and wonderful llamas, goats and a rooster to share the time and space with. It - Location (near dayboro village), room, view, animals. Nothing
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (2/5): - The price they are charging is not reflective of the property.
Bbq shown in pictures, yet no bbq provided. Would have been nice to have had prior communication of its removal so that we didn't buy ingredients banking on using it
Mould is through the bathroom blind, the spa tub not that we would have used it is in a disgusting state. Droppings underneath bedside table, food and filth left visible bedside fridge on floor, light in bathroom full of bugs. Simple cleaning is obviously not happening here.
Completely ruined our night away that we left at 7am to get out of there
- Amy (10/5): Peaceful and Serenity - From the minute we arrived, we were greeted by Tim and shown to our cottage. The cottage was spotless and the view was incredible. We loved hearing the wildlife around us. The bed was very comfortable and the spa bath was devine. You are surrounded by rolling hills, trees and the cutest goats. The peacefulness out there is amazing. Thanks Tim and Charmaine. You made booking with you so seamless and your timely responses assisted planning our stay better.
