• Chris (6/5): Nice location and view- a little bit tired inside the hotel, rooms clean and tidy , bed comfy - Beautiful location , lovely view from the balcony .Room nice and fresh . The construction site all around the hotel , that was never mentioned when booking , spoilt the view somewhat.
• Bruce Broughton (6/5): Comfortable, a great view but taking into account the excessive noise and having to park our car in, - The location and view from out hotel windows was superb. No off street parking. On the Saturday night that we stayed we were unable to get to sleep until the early hours of the morning because of the loud noise from a live band downstairs. It was close to 30 minutes past midnight before this noise abated.

• Felix (9/5): Great location and nice rooms, would’ve loved to have more of a kitchenette for the hostel rooms. - Great location directly at the ocean with a phenomenal view. We were on one of the hostel rooms which were really clean and tidy with lots of shared space with the other rooms. Great pub and restaurant downstairs, just be aware that it can be pretty loud until late in the evening. Sadly there was only a shared kettle, toaster and mini fridge so you couldn’t really make your own meals.

So convenient that we could drink, eat and sleep in the same place. Probably that there was no lift going up to the rooms. Going up and down the stairs with our luggage was a bit hard.

The food from the hotel for dinner was well priced and really fresh and delicious - best mushroom gravy I’ve had. Very happy and will be booking again next time we come through town.

• Ozeestar (6/5): Love the room but expensive - food is low quality - nice if asked would we like a table for dinner! - Like the top-end room looking out to sea - expensive in real terms but no competition. The food is always very, very average, and the red wine list is like 'here it is' - no options! Staff are mixed and give the feeling that staff training is minimal. It comes down to whether he/she is a nice, well-mannered person or not - that is the start and end of it.

• Rachael (7/5): Epic pub stay. - Perfect one night pub stay. Great pub food, and cold beer. Night time band if you feel like a party. Fabulous access directly to the beach for a morning swim, with coffee and breakfast at the surf club. Parking was a bit of a problem however, not that much of a big deal.

The hotel has had a part renovation, this was in the old part. it was the only option left when I booked. was very cheap so represented great value.

• DAVID (10/5): A great overnight stop after a long day - We were on an emergency trip not knowing where we would spend the night and searched for accommodation only after deciding to stop in Yamba. The hotel is an old building so we had low expectations of the rooms but were very pleasantly surprised. They were small but spotlessly clean and had all we needed for our stay. The staff were very helpful despite us arriving just two minutes after booking. There was a large bar with great views out to sea and live music on Saturday night. Not our scene but great for younger folk. We were only moments from bars, restaurants and the bowling club. Not for us on this occasion but one could not be any closer to the beach. Nothing

• Karen (8/5): Awesome! - The Hotel was perfectly located for our visit. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and the ocean view was stunning!!!! We were advised that the live band would be loud … and our room was very close to the stage end so they were! The music went off at midnight as promised and we slept soundly after midnight.

Extensive building works being carried out for the foreseeable future. Rooms have been refurbished and the “Deluxe Queen” was clean but very small with basic amenity.

• Latta (8/5): Well worth a visit - The view from our newly refurbished room was excellent. We went to the bar and got our own ice bucket and wine and spent the afternoon in our room with a view. There was a great vibe when we came down for dinner. The hotel was just a short downhill walk to the main centre of town with lots of cafes and restaurants Walking back up the hill after having a big breakfast.

• Gemma (9/5): Spectacular location, friendly staff and modern and clean facilities. - The room was as per the photos and description on their website - newly renovated with spectacular views out to the ocean. It was clean and spacious and also plenty of space in the bathroom, including a bath tub! The bar fridge provided did not have any freezer section, meaning for us on a driving road trip, we could not re-freeze our chiller blocks for our esky, for the drive the following day. Not serious, but would have been helpful.
