- Archana (10/5): -
- Jemmies (8/5): A house with a beautiful view - Lovely house but there were cobwebs in the house The floor leading to the kitchen was uneven and we hit our toes quite a few times
- Winkie (9/5): Very impressed -
- Paul (9/5): - ทำเลที่ตั้ง
- NIANCHEN (10/5): -

- Tamie (10/5): -
- Ben (10/5): - Very nice
- Christine (10/5): - This is a great place to stay after hiking the Routeburn track.
- Juliet (7/5): Beautiful cottage by the lake - Fantastic location and very cosy, comfy house. Clean, good beds, nice to be by the lake A bit expensive for 3 bedrooms / 3 people
- Yihsin (10/5): Exceptional - Great location. Everything is wonderful!
- Willem (9/5): Superb - Bit expensive but superb location and accomodation
- Leanne (10/5): Absolutely beautiful home in an equally beautiful location. - Everything about this property was exceptional. Very pleased we made a last minute decision to stay here.
Only wish we could have stayed longer than the 2 nights we had.
Thank you for the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful location. Nothing.
- Nicholas (7/5): Good - Clean. Spacious. The aircon doesn't work properly, we both tried but even with lowered temperature setting and maximum fan settings there was barely a trickle of luke warm air. Consequently, even though we pulled close the curtains during the daytime , when we were out , to keep out the sun, the evenings in the lounge and dining room were sauna-like. There are no insect grills on any of the windows, so you can't open for ventilation at night!
The main dishwasher didn't clean properly.
There was old food in one of the cupboards.
No coffee machine! One breakfast tea bag in situ that smelt like it had been in the jar for months. Having to ask for our one free cup of fresh coffee per day felt mean and Oliver twist like.
The ' designer furniture was ergonomically challenging( unless you are under 5 foot nothing...)too low and deep to be practically comfortable.
Our duvet had no cover on it and looked clean but had quite a few visible stains.
Clean, spacious. Friendly cafe staff but for us this is not ' Boutique' standard accomodation. We've honestly stayed in better serviced and more comfortable ( and very much cheaper) motels.
- Scott (8/5): Good location, value for money questionable given shared space with cafe and ineffective dishwasher. - Location is great Akin cafe staff accessing the laundry / storage area behind a locked door in the house. Dishwasher not working.
- Ferdinand (10/5): Very relaxing stay with luxurious ammenitied sorrounded by beautiful nature. - Everything! - nice and clean house + beautiful view of the mountain. Basically nothing, maybe a bit pricey.
- Janette (9/5): Great location general cafe next door for food coffee. Good breakfast - It would of been perfect if there was a coffee machine
- Emma (6/5): Pleasant -
- Vanessa (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Comfortable and close to the lake. - I could put up photos of the amazing view of Glenorchy and the surrounds but chances are that you've already seen them and are now looking for a place to stay. The Lake House is comfortable and situated very close to the lake.
This is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good because it's close to walk and get a better view down the lake or up towards the mountains where sections of LoTR was filmed. Bad because there are sand flies which will happily feast upon your bare skin. Make sure you wear good insect repellent at all times.
We stayed in the King suite and it was a quite sizable room with a massive en-suite which included a separate bath. There is a small deck out the front where you could sit and have a coffee or a wine. WiFi was easy to access and suitably fast.
The host was amazing and greeted me by name before I managed to tell her any more than the fact I was checking in. I felt that there was nothing that she would not have done to make our stay more comfortable if this was required.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perhaps we didn’t read the write up
Properly but we didn’t like the shared kitchen dining and lounge facilities also the free breakfast option is only an option if you can stay onsite after 8.30 am which didn’t work for us .Very clean and tidy but possibly a bit rich for money paid
- James (10/5): So Glad We Picked The Glenorchy Lake House - We recommend this lovely accommodation to anyone visiting Glenorchy. All exceeded our expectations with outstanding mountain views, beautiful, shared kitchen and living room, generous breakfast, wonderful host, and fabulous lake and lagoon walks right outside the front door. Loved the deck, cappuccinos from the adjacent cafe, and ease of accessibility to both village and nature.
- Jillian Ann (10/5): Everything you could ask for and more - Wow what an amazing BB we couldn’t of asked for more, great friendly service from the 2 ladies at the Trading Post, beautiful fresh healthy breakfast,
lovely wooden style house, out door spa, close to everything and push bikes if you have time or energy, warm and cozy loved it all.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I didn’t like the fact that it was sold as accommodation near Milford Sound, when that town is a 5 hour drive away.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Wow just wow. - Very nice. Breakfast that was included with room made it a very pleasant stay
- Clark (10/5): - Beautiful setting! Fragrant roses wafting in the air next to our private deck, where our lovely hostess delivered hot flat whites upon our arrival! Great jetted hottub with a view of the mountains! What more could one ask for!
- Helen (6/5): A well presented property lacking a few basics. - Being given a room without internal hallway connection to the kitchen/tv area meant having to go outside in icy conditions to make morning tea. Luckily it did nt rain. This made a well presented property very uncomfortable for us . A simple coffee/ tea making in-room facility would have been helpful.
Also the water flow in the shower was very weak. Beautiful bathroom though.
- Norzaliza (2/5): - We are on our way from Milford Sound to Glenorchy but we have problem with the country code no to allow us to call them to inform them that we are late to arrive to the motel. For info, we are using spark no.
We arrive the Glenorchy Lake House around 18:00 and we went to the Trading Post and motel but no one available.
We went to the bar 'GYC Cafe and Bar' nearby Glenorchy Lake House and asked the guests inside on how to call the owner as stated at the Trading Post signage 'after hours 5pm, call 4424900 ' which is a different phone number from the information stated in the booking slip.
We tried to call both numbers stated in the signage and in the booking slips numerous number of times but no one pick up the phone calls. Refer attachment 1.
We waited in the rain for almost two hours until 20:00 at the front of the Trading Post which is stated in the booking slip but no one come to the area.
We even go to the next house to ask if someone knows how we can enter the motel, but none available.
We are lost and since we are not able to call Hotel.com customer service no from New Zealand, I tried to call my husband multiple times to call Hotel.com customer service on behalf of me. My husband lodge a report twice and even your customer service unable to contact the host. Please refer to your customer service call log.
Since we have waited for too long in the rainy day and it is already late and we are extremely tired, we couldn't wait anymore and we deci
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A lovely and comfortable place to stay right on the shore of the lake.
- Daphne (10/5): - Facilities: Top of the line; Value: Great deal; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Beautiful;
lovely to go over the lake for dinner
