Guest Reviews
- Gavin (10/5): - Excellent location - within walking distance of everything.
Wonderful views across the river from the balcony.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Would happily recommend and stay here again
- Jennifer (10/5): - We had a few hiccups to start. Apartment had been refurbished but not properly equipped. But overall they were quick to correct some issues and took on board other issues that need to be rectified. We enjoy staying here
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not for families with prams - Our apartment at Bridgewater terraces was comfortable and had a nice view of the river. However, there is no lift in the terraces which was very inconvenient for us with a lot of luggage and a stroller. There are a lot of stairs around the complex and I would not recommend staying there if you have a lot of baggage or a pram or any accessibility requirements.
- Michele (10/5): - Management was very accommodating. Beautiful location on the river, great access to the water ferry.
- Heather (10/5): - The reception was so lovely and gave us a sheet with a map of the area and property; they told us of quite a few amazing places nearby that made our stay very memorable!
- Adam (8/5): -
Great location, pool and gardens. Our apartment faced the river, was clean and comfortable. Plenty of food and drink options close by.
Dated property with only fans in bedrooms - aircon in main room didn’t flow through. Noisy aircon units outside bedrooms.
WIFI was good - you do need to bring your own device to attempt to cast to the tv. Warning they’re Smartcast which is not Apple friendly.
Accessibility: most of property is not suitable for those with accessibility needs.
Summary: Don’t expect a 5-star experience - it’s a 4 star - and you’ll be fine.
- Dean (8/5): - Great location with easy access to the city via the new foot bridge or city cat. Lovely outlook from the apartment.
Older style with large rooms, however some maintenance was required (leaking taps) due to the age.
Note parking is extra if not booked direct, which was a surprise on arrival as their website says free parking and was told we should have booked direct!
- Cheryle (6/5): Lured by low rise & river outlook. - Great location, garden and Riverview. Reception at Bridgwater Crest, next to Terraces. Fabulous entrance down external stairs lined with greenery, a little waterway and pool to a very disappointing apartment 2001 (1). Queen beds size of doubles, many maintenance, electrical, furnishing and cleaning issues, no extraction fans in bathrooms (1 is internal, 1 has a window), ensuite drain putrid with smell permeating whole apartment, needs total overhaul. Other apartments may be wonderful but not reflected in this one.
Fresh linen and towels. Washing, drying and ironing facilities. Fully stocked kitchen crockery (some chipped), cutlery and cooking implements.
I have a number of very unpleasant photos of all the above and notes put under the door but will not shame the owners by posting. A pest control was meant to occur during our stay but we had asthmatic children with us and an adult who is sensitive to chemicals that has surgery in a few days and it would compromise their health.
Friendly staff, only had an issue with accessing pool towels.
Low rise, which suits me and stair access.
Safe and secure premises.
Easy access to boardwalk, amazing dining options, free kitty cat ferry only 15 minute walk.
This apartment needs love, care and attention, then everyone will reap the rewards.
- Tasman (10/5): - It was quiet and peaceful.
- frank (10/5): Great stay - Great location- easy walk to village shops. Quiet with great views of the river activities.Very clean. Great facilities eg lagoon pool.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Great apartment that met all our family needs. Spacious and well laid out. Lovely views of the river and the pool and bbq areas were clean and very well equipped
- Shenelle (8/5): - The pool was fantastic for the kids. Didn't like the fact it was all stairs - no lift up three flights of stairs. The BIG LETDOWN was the fact we booked and paid for 5 people and we had a room with a double bed and 2 singles. We asked about this and there was no help, no reason, no money back or any fix offered. I was pretty appalled at this as one of us had to sleep on a couch and we paid extra for a 5th person too!!
Also the fact you have to pay an additional $15 per day for parking is a bit rich. But as I said the pool area was a real winner with the kids.
- Andrew (10/5): - Great spot
- Anthony (8/5): - Good size apartment looking at the river.
Close to ferries.
Well equipped.
- Matthew (10/5): - Great location!
- Darren (8/5): - Location and front garden patio with water access was stunning.
Apartment size was great.
Pool and spa area tip top.
Undercover parking was easy.
Called in advance for late checkin. However, upon arrival getting a key was a mission.
Room is a little bit older, so smelt a bit funny.
Just some small things such as, no AC in bedrooms, no toaster, TV remotes missing back to them.
- Qun (10/5): - Fantastic view, and a very quiet place, we stay there 4 nights with family, enjoyed this place, and definitely will back again.
- Jason (6/5): - Excellent location, property was a bit tired and not very clean, had chewing gum in a made bed!
- Nick (8/5): - The shower head needs replacing.
- Grant (4/5): - Air con did not work, bathrooms filthy and general cleanliness was not good, great location though
- John (10/5): - Great service from the property managers
- John (8/5): - We stayed in a ground floor unit that was clean and comfortable. The unit wasn't equipped with nbn only limited ADSL. Very close to everything and the river walks are great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I love the pool and surrounding areas. Gym needs updated machines.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Worth the Stay - Some issues - Great place to stay - original apartment had no view and only of restaurant smoke stack. Changed to riverside view which was great but issues with internet, master bedroom air conditioner, ensuite shower leaked onto bathroom floor, toilets running, management responsive and nice to deal with (Ray and Dennis). Great view on riverside.
- Mark (8/5): Would recommend for a stay of any length. - Overall a good place to stay, great location, quite and friendly check-in with free parking and good visitor parking. Good access to the city on the ferry (some free) and adjacent cycle/walking paths to Southbank and CBD. On the con side, I found it to be quite expensive for what you got and could not collect any stamps for my stay. The pool was disappointing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. We had the best holiday! The location was amazing, view from apartment exceptional, pool was great fun for kids, really good pub up the road and brewery close by. Apartment was a bit tired but clean so we were happy. Plus it’s in the electric scooter zone so no need to use car.
- MARGARET (10/5): - BRIDGEWATER TERRACES IDEALLY SITUATED FOR 3 NIGHT VISIT - SHORT WALK TO FREE RIVER FERRY TO BRISBANE CBD. STAYED SEVERAL TIMES & ALWAYS PLEASED TO RETURN.
ARRIVED EARLY AM FROM UK & RECEPTION VERY HELPFUL & GOT OUR ROOM READY EARLY
- Frode (10/5): Great stay - Would stay here again. Nice area!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked the cleaniness ,the layout and the location. The only thing I could fault was that the towel rack in the bathroom was missing.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location,
Water views
Lovely gardens and landscaping
Proximity to riverside walk
Vibrancy and activity on water and in surrounding suburb
Access to ferries
Security and privacy
Only negatives- lack of lift from basement to apartment level
Lounge suite sagging and
Decor could do with brightening up
- Peter (10/5): A great place to stay. Will return. - Fantastic place to stay. Amazing river views. The area is really great with a few restaurants and very close to the city by ferry (free of charge). The apartments have a resort feel to it, with a great pool area. The apartment was large with comfortable beds and good amenities. The only thing that could be improved, would be the gym. Some free weights would be great. Will stay again next time I’m in Brisbane.
- Jenine (8/5): - Great location with free ferry to Brisbane CBD and Southbank as well as other stops. Good selection of small convenience stores nearby. pool and gym facilities good. Parking great. The apartment we stayed in didn't have a great selection of cooking items (trays etc for the oven for e.g), the master bed was a bit soft but the rest were fine. A few maintenance issues but were resolved quickly. Overall a great stay with 3 young kids.
- Phil (10/5): - Pleasing garden setting. Very helpful managers. Some units have river views
- Stephen (10/5): Surprisingly quite and connected - Given the proximity to the Story Bridge I was concerned about traffic noise. The property was extremely quiet and the local streets rather traffic free. Short walk to the City Hopper Ferry service (free !!). Room amenities good, very relaxing pool area.
- Daniel (8/5): Good location, comfortable stay. - Centrally located at Kangaroo Point with nearby access to a number of restaurant and cafe options, pubs and bars and convenience stores. Walk to Southbank or take to city hopper ferry. The apartment complex is secure and well maintained with access to pool and small gym. Secure car parking. The rooms are a little tired but comfortable, had a maintenance issue that was addressed promptly by staff. The beds in our room were very firm and could do with an update but linen was clean and had access to extra blankets for cool evenings. Plenty of foxtel channels. Overall for price was of expected quality.
- nikki (10/5): Awesome location. - We absolutely loved the two bedroom apartment. It was big enough for our own space and was very nice. We will definitely be back.
- Bec (4/5): Close enough to River and Story Bridge Hotel - Room had No Air Conditioning in Bedrooms, beds were uncomfortable. No river or city views (shown in ALL pics). Not cleaned properly with dusty floors, hair on bathroom floors and dirty corners. Made for an uncomfortable stay during warm nights and disappointing with no view of river or city.
- wendy (10/5): Nice and close to city - Fantastic accomodation, close to everything. Lovely views and pool area great for families. Room has everything, laundry full, kitchen facilities.
- David (8/5): Suit a family. 2 levels. Balconies.Secure car park - Great location for travelers. Walking distance to the Valley.
- Sungho (4/5): Old. - It is an old resort. I selected this one because of the location. But that is all. Next time I will choose other one.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Needs upgrade - Lovely view and location.hiwever furnitue really needs to be thrown away.couch very uncomfortable and bed not that good.reception friendly and walk to restaurants. Must try deli under bridge for brekky amazing.pub also very nice.
- Ann (10/5): Beautiful setting, close to river. - Had a great time. Used free city hopper every day. This place is in a great location - peaceful and minutes from city. Hadn't been to Brisbane for years but would definitely go back!
- Allan (8/5): Great location and views. - Would thoroughly recommend based on location, views, comfort, cleanliness, staff and value. However, the apartment is nearing time for an upgrade. This did not detract from the experience but, is approaching that stage.
- Cate (8/5): Good location - Was fine for a family. Found the pool and spa a bit cold. Nice sauna and fitness equipment. Good paths both sides of the river for running, walking or cycling.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice unit located close to city - NIce unit located close to City. Great spot on the Brisbane River. Just needed a few more/better kitchen utensils etc.
- Hamish (4/5): Not the best stay I have had - This accommodation was ok. No view and a very large cockroach in the kitchen. The beds were hard especially the double / queen.
he en suite bathroom was dirty with a lot of mould around tiles and hair around base of the shower doors.
The lounge had curtain track covers down on the floor which I re-attached
