The neighbour above us, kept leaning over the balcony, watching, listening and commenting. Felt uncomfortable we left a day early. App G4.

• Joanne (10/5): Stunning beach side apartment - Upon arrival the staff were absolutely amazing. They show you to your room, take the luggage up and show you all of the amenities. The room was stunning, clean with a fabulous view. Everything was well stocked in the kitchen cupboards. Our room had games, books, DVDs in the loungroom cupboards as well. Very private and secure. I was there for a wedding and my room adjoined the brides room so we could access each other's rooms while getting ready. Secure parking. There is a club/Tavern right behind with good meals. Coffee across the road at the beach and next block down at Milkbar. 100% recommend. I would stay here again. Im used to quite a soft plush bed and I did find the bed and pillows a bit too hard for me.

• Heather (9/5): Fantastic stay very relaxing. - The apartment was incredible beautifully laid out. Spa bath view of the ocean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to all amenities. Large quiet I would definitely recommend sandcastle apartments. Honestly there were very few negatives regarding the apartment. The only issue I would say is by a resident of the apartments who was very hostile. She didn’t like that I did press the incorrect button on the lift but I had but she had pressed the button at the same time. She was impatient that we were going to basement and she wanted to go up.

• PR (7/5): Schoon en ruim appertment. - Schoon. Alles goed geregeld. Ruim appartement Slaapkamer niet donker. Te dunne gordijnen. Slaapkamer aan voorkant erg veel lawaai/verkeer.
• susan (3/5): Fabulous spot for the beach and lovely walks. Easy walk for coffee and restaurants - The apartment was lovely although very bare. The view was fantastic, the furnishings, for the most part were very comfortable. The problem was the back bedroom overlooked the bowls club rubbish collection area and every morning except Sunday rubbish trucks tipped thousands of bottle out of the bins then, with motors running seemed to stay quite a while. Then on the Friday night, the outdoor smokers area turned into a party that went on until at least midnight. Also the mattress in the back bedroom needs replacing, it’s very saggy on the middle.

• david (9/5): Great location, directly across from the beach. A wonderful stay from beginning to end. - Wonderful, friendly Manager & Staff. Location was exceptional. Unit very clean and comfortable, great for 2 people. We are travelling to Sydney July/ August and have rebooked a stayover to break up our drive. Bathroom was a little small but I knew to expect that as description and photos showed exactly that.

The apartment was in an excellent position, directly across from walking tracks and the beach. The rooms were spacious; the bed was comfortable. An ideal environment to relax in. There was nothing we didn't like.

You couldn’t have soap in the shower at at the wash basin. Also for the price and level of accommodation asking for the sheets, rubbish and dishes washed and put away is a little bit much. Maybe remove the sheet removal?

• Francine (9/5): Fantastic location, incredible views, super friendly staff. - Loved the location and the views! The staff were super helpful and friendly. Checking in and out was as easy as it could possibly be. Unfortunately the air-conditioning in our apartment was really loud in the main bedroom/walk through wardrobe (which is open to the bedroom). The kitchen was really well equipped but a simple pair of scissors would've been helpful.

• Jamie (9/5): Awesome location and space, great setting to enjoy some of the best aspects of Port - Location was excellent, being on the corner ground level meant that the front door to our front patio could potentially be easily accessed by any stranger off the street as the door latch does not require a key and is not restricted by any security feature. This made us feel a little bit vulnerable and we made sure we didnt leave anything valuable in the front balcony. Whilst we still had a view of the beah from the ground level and the other good point is we could easily walk onto the street, it would have felt more comfortable either having a security feature restricting access to the door of balcony or otherwise being on a higher level may have been prefferable. Last minor gripe the TV remote control in the 2nd bedroom wasnt working - most likely needed new batteries... we were able to use that TV by using the remote control from 1st bedroom but a bit inconveniant going from room to room when using both Televisions.

The main bedroom, the carpark as we were on ground floor. Safety aspect. We couldn't leave the doors open at night and there are no windows. The bathroom/tub shower is dated. Difficult to open the class door and get in and out of the shower. Very Small. Not enough toilet paper, hand wash. It would have been better if there was a clean every two days. We stayed 6 days. Fridge cupboard was a nuisance.

• Andrea (8/5): Great location and big balcony overlooking beach, but some maintenance issues. - It was well worth renting one of the front corner rooms with a big balcony overlooking the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and lounge area with large TV was a good layout, unfortunately some broken blinds. Bed was comfortable. The layout of the bedroom, bathroom and toilet was strange and not very private. Also, blinds weren’t enough to block out the light at night so had to wear an eye mask or hang an extra towel over windows. There were not enough towels supplied and why no beach towels when you’re holidaying at a beach?!
• Camilia (7/5): Not quite what we expected. - Great location, friendly, helpful staff. Nice large apartment, the ensuite is a little odd. Lots of notices of the dos and don’ts that make you feel a little unwelcome. The request to strip the beds / remove sheets on the day of checkout is incredibly odd, it’s a request not a requirement but for over $1000/night I think a little service is not unreasonable. 4 days without a change of towels or any housekeeping I’d expect at budget accommodation.

Main bedroom in middle of apartment with frosted glass windows so couldn’t really have someone in kitchen or lounge with light on without disturbing people in bedroom. Kitchen also poorly planned and not many utensils etc so not ideal if you want to cook a lot

• Christine (9/5): Huge apartment, good location, great view, happy travellers! - We stayed in 9 different accommodations during our trip - this one had the best view and was by far the most generous in the size of apartment and hanging space, which meant a comfortable stay for us. Our host contacted us before we arrived with access instructions and some excellent recommendations to help us make the most of our stay.

• Andrea (10/5): Great place, highly recommend - Fantastic location and the view of the beach from the balcony was spectacular. Loved watching the dolphins swim past. The staff were lovely and very helpful I wasn’t a fan of the bathroom off the main bedroom. The screens didn’t offer much privacy.
