- Ann (10/5): -
- Ann (9/5): -
- Andrew (9/5): Brilliant property, perfect location. - old world charm, perfectly preserved old hotel. Great location. Ever so slightly tired, but this was necessary to preserve the charm.
- Kathryn (7/5): -
- Jackie (8/5): very comfy bed - We didn't have the coffee or bread on offer.
Some better quality bread and coffee would have been appreciated
- Kenneth (8/5): Grand old building in a good location - The Imperial is a grand old building that has been converted to a set of mostly 1 bedroom apartments and one 2 bedroom apartment, in a town that is full of grand old buildings. The owner is extremely courteous and helpful, and the bedrooms were beautifully clean with daily service. The 2 bedroom apartment is huge and opens onto a vast balcony. Beds were comfortable with lovely sheets and dooner. It is just a matter of expectation. We were the only people staying there at the time (apparently it is busier during the week), so it felt a bit quiet. The building itself is old, and so you need to adjust your expectations to that - there is not much natural light inside and most of the furniture, fixtures and fittings are period. For example, the lighting in the main living room is a very bright overhead light with one inadequate side lamp - so the lighting at night is a bit brutal. It is just a function of the style and age of the building - charming but not with the same convenience as a modern facility
- Jane (9/5): Wonderful. Kath was very helpful - Lovely old building with large veranda Bed was a bit squeaky and moved a bit
But not too bad

- Paul (9/5): The Imperial is a great base for a visit to this iconic Australian mining town - The Imperial Fine is a great example of the many classic Broken Hill pubs with the bonus of having a good swimming pool. Owner/managers extremely helpful and everything in spotless order. Great position and lovely verandahs and set up for a little self catering if needed. Some of us still read books and very few places offer good bedside reading lights!
- Anthony (10/5): A real gem. - Old style with class and plenty of room. Nothing

- Michael (9/5): Lovely Place to Stay in Broken Hill - Lovely room. Good sized queen bed, good sized room with a table and two chairs and desk with chair. Good air-conditioning. Small bar fridge and coffee making facilities.
The bathroom was small and functional with good shower with continuous strong hot water and toiletries.
While no breakfast was provided there are good kitchen facilities including micro wave, toaster, refrigerator, cooking facilities. crockery and cutlery. Foodland's shop about 100 metres away
Location to shopping centre (Argent Street) is great - 5 min walk. Good cafes, restaurants and Pubs and clubs with creditable menus etc nearby. Close to Station 10 min. easy stroll.
Cath, the owner was very nice, very helpful and the rooms were made up beautifully each day.
Outside balcony gave views of town and sunset but it was very cold in the evening in Broken Hill in August. Nothing really
- Catherine (7/5): Good location, friendly staff, good size room - Lovely staff, off street parking, good size room. Bed was very squeaky.
- Stringer (9/5): - Just about everything All accomodation is upstairs so mobility becomes an issue
- Anoushka (9/5): Lovely night in Broken Hill. - Lovely night at the Imperial Fine Accommodation. Wish we could have stayed longer but we got in a bit late and had to leave early. Even so, we had a really warm and friendly welcome from Cath, our room was beautifully comfortable and clean and the kitchen facilities were a bonus. Would definitely recommend to others and we would love to come back and stay for a few days next time. Nothing to say for this question. It was all good!
- Joanne (8/5): Welcoming Heritage accomodation - Comfy bed,, welcoming hostess. Kitchenette available for guest use. Very compact bathroom

- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (10/5): - Book early so you wont be disappointed
Full of charm and character, immaculately clean and a fabulous host. The heating was on in our room awaiting our arrival, the room was spacious and the bed luxurious. We have tried to stay here before and its been fully booked we endorse the great reviews from other happy guests. Thanks Cath for a wonderful stay.
- George (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Cath is a treasure and we would come again just to say hello. - Space, very large room, well heated for the winter cold, excellent self-care kitchen facility and dining room. Very useful hub for USB-A charging.
- Mimi (9/5): Great location close to Main Street, extremely comfortable and quiet, lovely staff. - Old building in very good condition. Very clean, huge quiet room with excellent en-suite. Too old to have an elevator. I’d have appreciated some milk w the kettle.
- Darren (7/5): Beautiful on the inside. - Beautiful room. Strong water pressure. Very clean linen (except one towel was stained). Very kind host, when contactable. You get a while litre of milk. Small parking area, especially when other guests park poorly & have over sized vehicles. Bathroom is too small. Neighbours can be too noisy. Kitchen is limited- just microwave & kettle. They call it 4&1/2 star, but it is not.
- Paul (10/5): Great location to explore Broken Hill, which is well worth a visit. - Lovely heritage building with plenty of original features. Central location and free parking. Nothing
- Nicola (7/5): Nice, confortable room, but missing the opportunity to be even better in such a gorgeous building. - Nice old pub building, very large rooms, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated.
Quiet room. A bonus to have access to a small shared kitchen. The building has so much potential, but it is not currently making the most of its charm. Huge billiard room and sitting room - unheated and in the dark, not really being promoted as part of the old pub vibe. Empty verandah unwelcoming to sit on. The access and welcome was adequate, but perfunctory, and again not adding to the charm.
- Geraldine (9/5): Great place to stay - Lovely old building with character, friendly welcome from Cath. The room was large, clean, warm and comfortable. Location good. Nothing
- Adam (6/5): Nice accommodation but not the traditional pub type feel that I was expecting - The room was large and comfortable and the heating was excellent given how cold it was. It was a little earie and quiet and the location although walking distance to the centre felt a bit shady.
- Miriam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debra (8/5): A clean and comfortable choice. - The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely shower with very hot water. It is conveniently located to walk around town. Our room was nice but the hotel itself feels like it needs a little TLC.
- Leonie (9/5): Clean, comfortable and friendly - A sensational old building with a spacious, clean and comfortable room and bathroom.
Check in with Cath was easy, with helpful suggestions about things to see in the region.
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Geoff (7/5): Good -
- Geoff (7/5): Good -
- Githa (10/5): Exceptional - All facilities were great and access to veranda was fabulous. Nothing Everything ran smoothly regarding our stay.
- Ben (9/5): Heritage style accommodation close to town centre - Lovely old heritage building with friendly hosts, large rooms that are well insulated for noise and temperature. Location is easy walk to town and Foodland, cafe etc. Room serviced daily is a bonus. All good
- Carrie Elaine (10/5): - The hotel is in a very convenient location for exploration on foot around town. The owner was very helpful. The rooms are well maintained.
The only suggestion that I would make relates to the parking area. The plants (i.e. tree and grasses) in the parking area made it a little tricky to park.
- Shuna (7/5): Convenient but over priced - Proximity to the centre and convenient for our journey The bed was incredibly creaky and noisy
- Rebecca (8/5): Definitely the best place to stay in Broken Hill - Wonderful host, very friendly and full of helpful local knowledge. Lots of charm and thoughtful details. Decent shower, good facilities, very clean. The mattress/bed was pretty creaky and a bit too firm for my personal preference but I suppose that's old houses for you.
- Di (9/5): Superb -
- Tulla (10/5): Warm, accomodating and enjoyable stay! - The place was beautiful, the room incredibly comfy and spotless. Cath the host, was so kind and accomodating, assisting with some last minute changes. The place is close to town, a short walk to Gio's (agreat cafe) and other things needed. Will be back on my next trip! n/a
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barbara (8/5): A lovely place to stay and walking distance to the town . Very comfortable bed and our host was most gracious in fixing - Comfortable and walking distance to town and restaurants. Staff very friendly and welcoming The only gripe is the couch was uncomfortable but that was miner to the over all charm of our accommodation
- Tania (7/5): Good -
- Leanne (10/5): Very pleasant, would definitely stay again on our next visit to Broken Hill - Bar fridge with real milk, shared kitchen, lovely veranda with tables and chairs, lovely dining and sitting rooms, very friendly owner, excellent walking distance to main street and clubs, comfy room Nothing
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
