• Michelle (7/5): Clean comfortable accommodation. Price point very affordable. Great location. Friendly staff - It was a great location for where we needed to be in Somerset. The shower was amazing but the curtain did not prevent the water from over flowing into the floor. We had to use all of the towels to dry the floor after showers. We weren’t aware the vacant block beside the hotel was a construction site, heavy machinery and trucks began work nice and early. Staff were very attentive and friendly almost too many staff for not a very busy restaurant. We were given incorrect information as to what is served with the lamb shank (not shanks as the menu says). Requested mashed potato, told that it can’t be done, when questioned that it could be done for another menu option, was told only enough is made for that. Opted for the vegetables instead. When the meal was received, no vegetables just a mountain of mashed potato.

• Amanda (3/5): Accomodation didn’t look like the pictures, reality was tiny,low quality & no lounge - Availability of pub food at accomodation for convenience on first and last night of stay. But food was horrible and overpriced (gnocchi & cannelloni were clearly microwaved meals, dry and tasteless), garlic bread was $12 3 of us stayed - no room to sit or move around the space. Only 1 chair to sit on for 3 of us staying 87 nights. Used laundry facilities, set machine to cold and it still washed on hot, discolouring and shrinking clothes and uniforms and taking off branding due to heat. Ordered 2 salad bars on their own the first night for dinner due to dietaries and were given bowls smaller than a tea cup for salad bars as main - ridiculous.Spent the first night looking fir somewhere else to stay but nowhere available due to high demand for a national event.

• Amanda (3/5): The room itself was fine, it was meant to be a non smoking hotel, there were ash trays outside the doors. - My fire alarm battery started beeping at 4:45am, I called an emergency number and was told they’d be with me within an hour. No one came. I had no sleep from that point to 7am. I originally went to sleep at 12.30am so it was not a good experience. The staff didn’t seem to care and the reception wouldn’t refund me. She told me to contact Booking.com, as I had booked through them. Apparently alarm maintenance is their job. I left a day early as I didn’t want to experience that again, and had to head home so it was a wasted trip. Having to get another guest to help disable the alarm was unacceptable. The response to that incident and the attitude of the staff and the way they responded to the incident, and the overall apathy I experienced. You get what you pay for.
• mpw79 (7/5): - Very comfortable room. Water was hot and aircon worked well for heating. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. Restaurant attached is handy for anyone wishing to not go anywhere and not having food with them (although we didnt use it). On arrival we had no idea where check in was. The building looked abandoned from the road and it made us wonder. Perhaps some signage to let fuests know where the main entry is (on the back of the building). Bathroom door was very stiff. Needs maintenance. No plates or cutlery in the room without asking for it. We didn't bother. We were tired. Just used the 1 teaspoon and tea cup for everything.

The sliding door to go to bathroom did not work, so woke other member during the night, and the single bed was sinking so felt like I was rolling out all night. Management were non engaging and unprofessional.

There should be a smokers area much further away from the rooms so non-smokers aren’t affected by the smelly cigarette smoke. My husband gets bad headaches whenever he smells cigarette smoke so he didn’t enjoy the stay at all.

Nel ristorante si mangia benissimo. È molto vicino al centro in cui si possono osservare i piccoli pinguini che dopo il tramonto risalgono dal mare per dormire tra i cespugli.

• Gail (8/5): Budget room , clean and comfortable for a 1 night stay - Very economical stay , Handy to have dinner at the pub as we arrived late in the day . Rooms were clean and comfortable , perfect for an over night stay . Other guests were smoking outside the room door entries which filtered into the room . Signs in rooms asked not to smoke near door entry’s , however hotel had supplied sand bins for smokers butts right by all doorways .

• PC1134 (6/5): Good value, but venue a bit tired. - Good location. Friendly staff. Room was clean and good coffee, tea making facilities and pump soap supplied. Shower was good. TV and free wifi good. Bar drinks were well priced, $15 for 2 gin and tonics were great value. Room had a musty smell. Bed was okay but not super comfortable. Hotel and rooms dated, but to be expected given the price you pay. Didn't like the breakfast menu which seemed to indicate a flat $15 pp and assumed a buffet, but all items, eg baked beans on toast, spaghetti on toast were $15, and eggs on toast, from memory, $20. Overall a very uninspiring menu,resulting in us going elsewhere for brekky.
