Room warm and cozy ready for my rest. Exceptionally comfortable bed saw me sleep until after 8am which I never usually do. A well prepared continental breakfast has just been completed ready to hit the road again. Great location. This is my new central city Christchurch accommodation! Cheers.

A 10 minute walk to the centre of Christchurch, 3-5 minutes to several restaurants and, though it’s not my thing, a stone’s throw from the casino. The couple who own/operate the motel were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Nicely appointed clean and spacious unit with kitchenette and high water pressure shower helped make my stay very enjoyable.

The casino feels that 5 am is the time to smooth their gravel parking lot. So imagine someone driving a diesel truck, dragging a metal pan over the gravel, for an hour and you hear it with all the windows closed and curtains drawn

- familytravel4x4 (6/5): The standard room was adequate but basic - Very good location, free and secure parking, very friendly and helpful receptionists, but our standard/studio room was very basic. There was a distinct lack of lightning in the lounge, the kitchette light didn’t work, the fan in the bathroom didn’t seem to work, and the kitchenette was very limited - adequate but basic e.g. no hob. So functional and ‘doable’ for an overnight stay but not ideal for longer stays. In need of some TLC….

- JanMac76 (2/5): Not the Executive Suite that we expected - Our expectations were not met with this accommodation. The great reviews and comments were nothing like what we experienced. Our hopes for a lovely Executive Suite with all mod cons and a lovely room to stay in just didn’t happen. We actually thought we had the wrong place. The room was a basic motel room not an Executive Suite. The room was not up to a clean standard and the dishes & cutlery had to be washed before use. The TV was a 32”, the couch was old red leather had no support so we ended up watching TV sitting on plastic dining room chairs. All in all, a very disappointing stay. Certainly not worth $229 plus GST per night. We booked and paid for three nights but left after two. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff was incredible helpful by leaving the laundry open for an extra 15 hours so I could wash and dry my cloth. If you arrive at the train station be aware of Vega taxis. An Indian driver did not use the meter and overcharged us. One of the Focus staff members kindly took us to the airport on Sunday morning for a reasonable and fixed price. It was very much appreciated after my bad experience with the Vega driver. Thank you.

The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. We liked it so much that we booked it again on our return before flying out.

My negative would be that a shelf in the bathroom is very much needed, no where at all to pop any toiletries, didn’t bother us too much for just a one night stay, but not ideal if you are there for longer.

Small fully equipped but adequate kitchenette, in the two bedroom apartment. Easy onsite parking. - Greg (10/5): - What a gem of a hotel. Stayed for two nights, short walk to main shops, eateries, casino on your doorstep but you wouldn’t know it (no noise). Room had a kitchenette, separate bath and shower. The bath was a spa bath, modern, clean, awesome after a long day walking, sightseeing! Lady who runs the place was awesome. Staff pleasant. Car parking was easy and secure, gate closed at night. Highly recommend this place.

- zenitramvr (6/5): Wifi not good - The hotel location is very convenient. Unfortunately, I’m not happy with the wifi. Any video streaming will experience buffering, it was really annoying. I hope they can do something about it. All the best.

- Gina (8/5): - We had a nice two-night stay and the room, although small, was adequate with a comfortable, firm queen bed and small kitchenette. Room was clean and check-in staff was nice. Area around hotel was not developed very nicely. There was a vacant lot visible from our room, plus an apparent abandoned building and a residence with shacks/sheds/inoperable cars. The casino was across the street and was not a favorable attribute (based only on the exterior). We did not have a balcony, but that was OK based on condition of surrounding properties.

- Julian (10/5): - Manager was very accommodating allowing us an early check in as we drove a good part of the night and needed a shower and rest. Very helpful an knowledgeable of the area. Highly recommend it will stay there again

- Pumpkin20 (8/5): Comfortable - Small studio apartment, bar fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle. Wall mounted TV comfortable bed. Bathroom steams up badly even with the exhaust fan operating. Good parking space, close to numerous restaurants & bottle shop. Great guest laundry at reasonable cost.
