- Chris (2/5): Poor hospitality filthy venue. - I booked a family room for 3 men who were in town to work on the Ironman, on a very busy weekend for the town. The manager cancelled this booking without informing or contacting me. When my workers arrived they were informed the booking had been cancelled (it was later admitted by Management) and the room booked by another customer. The manager said they had a room available with 1 double and a 1single. Fortunately I was able to arrange other accom for the 3rd worker so work took what was available. The room smelt very badly and was extremely dirty. Sleeping on top of the covers and with a party raging in the next couple of rooms, sleep was impossible for both. I would not recommend this hotel or the manager to accomodate my Golden Retrievers.

- Steve (4/5): - Walking distance to Kardinia pool and local hotel. No towels provided. Unfortunately night was ruined by extremely noisy occupants who carried on with a very public domestic dispute between 2 and 5 am.

I’m 70yrs old and cannot remember staying in a worse place. I would not stay there again for free. I still cannot believe the sheets and towels were never changed.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Cheap but still overpriced - If you are attending an event at Kardinia Park you might consider this place, being within walking distance, but you will be disappointed. With a price only slightly less than far better hotels in town, this motel was very disappointing. Inadequate heating, only one electric blanket working, grubby bathroom. Even with a 4-way powerboard there were not enough power points to run the appliances in the room (fridge, microwave, TV, aircon, tiny column heater, two electric blankets (one not workign), two bedside lights), let alone anything of your own. The power points near the bed were loose and coming away from the wall. The power points in the bathroom were oriented so you couldn't fit a wall charger (e.g. for phone) in. There were no sachets of coffee or sugar, and the two teabags (one green, one peppermint) were on the floor beside the fridge. There was also no milk for a cuppa. Lesser concerns included tight parking space, and very dated decor, but you could excuse those for a cheap motel, which this was not. I should think an electrical safety inspection would be in order.

- bentleg (4/5): Cheap motel, handy to Kardinia Park. Not suitable for extended stay. - Cheap motel which appears to have had some limited renovation. Tiny room with queen size bed and a single. No wardrobe or hanging space. Bathroom recently updated with all new fittings and tiles on floor and walls. Tiled floor throughout the unit , cold under foot. Tea and coffee facilities, no milk or cutlery. Toaster, new fridge, electric column heater. Ancient air conditioner. Desk area, two chairs, tiny bedside tables. No breakfast service. TV limited channels, picture breaks up occasionally. No wifi. Spotlessly clean. Clean linen on bed which is comfortable and cosy. Good water pressure and temperature in shower. Clean towels but rather thin. Ok for a casual overnight stay only.
- B3939HHjohnw (2/5): Disgusting....DO NOT even consider this place. - Glorified brothel...two units have working ladies living there and the noise goes on until close to midnight. No WIFI, TV doesn't work - keeps dropping out, milk and cutlery not provided for coffee. Curtains are filthy and torn and the beds don't appear to have been cleaned or changed. Airconditioner looks like it was reclaimed from the tip. I had to wait 45 minutes for the manager/owner to even show up when attempting to book in. This place should be de-listed from any reputable booking site...at the very least, go and inspect it !!!
- R. John (2/5): - No-one available to check in until nearly 2.30pm, the room was terrible with no wifi, tv was free to air and continually dropped out. The first two units were utilised by women who were turning 'tricks' all day (until approx 11pm) that was clearly audible through the wall. Curtains were ripped and ill fitting, beds looked old and unclean. There was no milk available for coffee...and no cutlery. The end units were occupied by men who were very vocal in the carpark outside until 2.30am, my thoughts were that they were selling "goods".

- Barbra (4/5): - While the owners were nice the place was not clean. There was chewing gum left on the bedside lamp. There was not enough towels for booked in guests. The electrical cords were not tag and tested and there were power boards due to not enough power points for the facilities they provided. There were no bowls or spoons only cups and a plate. Very disappointing as it could have so much potential

- Reynaldo (10/5): Decent room - I got the family room for half discount and it was excellent. Near to Thai restaurant. Reception was very accommodating. I'm just uncomfortable with the pillows as it was too high for my head. I was not able to find the key drop off for early checkout.

I paid $200 non refundable deposit for a twin room and when I called the owner to add an extra person he answered 'what' and said I had to pay $30 for an extra person as he said I booked on wotif and they take taxes and rest on commission. When I agreed he said I was a good girl which I thought was very unprofessional. When I checked in on arrival he said I was very beautiful, good looking and wanted to know personal details such as if I was seeing my mate who was with me , where I live, my job and if it was just me and my girlfriend staying. But when I told him my guy mate was staying with us he seemed disappointed. He made me write my credit card details on paper. He made me feel uncomfortable. There was a curtain behind the counter and I had suspicion that he might of been watching us on cameras however I couldn't see any in the room. The room was very outdated.. wifi didn't work! my friend slept in a single bed with Bob The Builder bed sheets as if they couldn't afford proper hotel sheets and she was itchy during the night . The room was very old.. the double bed sheet had holes and had a wax mark.. there was old soap marks in the shower and discloration on the walls and ripped carpet.. the room is definitely needed to be renovated and was not worth the money. The aircon was old and made noises.. The parking was very narrow. We also saw many men come out of the front room which we think is used for sexual services.

The door jambs looked like they were never cleaned and there looked like actual human faeces smeared across the inside of the door. Public toilets are cleaner than this room. Stay away from this place.

In summary, the venue is awful! I have never had anyone, no one, yell at the top of their voice in quite a threatening tone as what occurred with the man who was checking us in today. This venue should not be advertised as a recommended site. We were too scared to sleep there the night so we drove back home. Please remove this from your listing. - Daniel (4/5): - For the price you pay for these facilities, its very run down and not well maintained. Fridge didnt work, TV was covered in some substance that felt like paint, floor mat for the shower was filthy. At the end of the day it was just a bed to sleep on and a shower.

Wasn't impressed by the multiple old cigarette burns on tables and furniture. The day I stayed the room was very highly priced for what this is, however I understand there was multiple events in Geelong on this weekend and rooms were at a premium.

The only room available showing on the internet was this one but the owner helped me get into room and bought a generous jug of milk so i could have a cuppa and breakfast next morning. I’ve fought with both Wotif and the property owner about getting a refund for misleading advertising and such a filthy room that we left after one night but paid for three. Both parties put the onus onto the other and no one will give a refund. The place is a worksite. We got a “renovated room” complete with wires hanging out of the ceiling, other people’s pubes on the toilet, someone else’s toothpaste spit on the taps, smears on the mirror, dried crusty stuff on the bedspread and the list goes on! And that’s only the room, wait till you see the view of scaffolding & builders rubbish outside your windows, bundles if wires over the doorway and the unidentified brown poop-like substance that’s been flung at the reception door. Not surprising! I might have done the same if I’d felt like hanging around any longer. Don’t waste your money!!
- Jess (2/5): Revolting place, rude service - This place is absolutely disgusting. I’ve honestly seen cleaner places at a dog kennel. From the moment you drive in there is just rubbish everywhere. When we arrived the man at reception tells us he has no room even though we had booked a room online, he then gives us a room that he saves for homeless people. The room stunk of cat urine, the sheets looked like they had never been changed and the curtains were filthy not to mention the multiple dirt and dust over the floors and surfaces. The room literally made me sick and he wanted $200!! Needless to say we didn’t stay and went elsewhere! This place needs to be shut down by the health inspector!!

Cobwebs and not clean. Room was small and very dirty and dusty. Bed was reasonable and sheets clean but bench covered in dust and grit. Door to toilet/bathroom was an old louvered lightweight pine door which did not close properly. No exhaust fan. Whole place needs lots of TLC. I would never stay there again even though it was fairly cheap for Geelong.
