- Ritika (6/5): - Ok for price and location however property has roaches n carpet needs thorough clean or replaced. Bit sketchy characters around as well. Complementary breakfast 7 to 9am STRICTLY, you need to be careful of fine prints. Recommend to stay there if nothing else is available.
- Elecia (6/5): - The 2 bedroom family room was very outdated and had cobwebs through doorways. There was a stale smell in the room. The updated rooms in the first section of the Motel were much nicer.
- Albert (2/5): - Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience we’ve had at any accommodation. Lack of communication: There was no prior notice or communication regarding the check-in procedure, especially if we were arriving after the regular check-in time. When we arrived around 3:00 PM, there was no one at the reception, and we had to make a call to get assistance. Unclean facilities: The kettle provided in the room was extremely dirty, and we had to call again to request a replacement. Hygiene and safety concerns: The toilet was infested with small cockroaches, which were both unsettling and unhygienic. Additionally, I noticed that the fire alarm in the room was covered with cling wrap. I am concerned about the safety implications of this.
- Garth (10/5): - Room was clean and tidy with all the usual appliances, cutlery plates bowls etc. Larger room allocated in the back section that was quiet and comfortable. Good value with Al-a-Cart breakfast included that was more than sufficient to start the day. Would stay there again.

- John (2/5): - Do not waste your time & money with this motel. No lights in the bathroom so no one could see where they were going in the dark. Very dirty, ants throughout the kitchen, facilities including TV & internet kept switching & cutting off & not to mention bad pot holes leading to the rooms just to ruin your wheel alignment. Also a joke for free continental breakfast, all they was cereal & bread for toast which bread was rock hard & stale. Pathetic.

- Dom (2/5): - (To be fair we reached out separately to the hotel prior to submitting this to try and resolve our issues, however they never responded). We were extremely disappointed with our stay. The disappointment extends not so much that these issued occurred, but more that, in spite of alerting you to these issues, very little was done to rectify the issues. Only when repeatedly requested was the bare minimum done. Some really basic things that in any other accommodation would automatically be covered. No remote for the TV, no reception on most channels, no wifi available in the room, multiple times I asked for the soap and shampoo to be refilled (it never happened so i had to buy my own), I asked for housekeeping to make the beds (never happened), asked for pest remediation as room was FULL of bugs,(I had to do it in the end at my own expense), general cleanliness of the room (kind of addressed once, requested multiple times, the carpets and hard floors were disgusting), the smoke alarms were covered in plastic, We had to clean the pool before it could be used. On the last day breakfast was very late, to the point we nearly missed it due to plans for the day and no one answering the phone during hours. It felt like the rooms weren’t maintained after each guest, only the bedding changed (hopefully) In all, our experience of your accommodation was terrible. Would most definitely never stay there again.

- Kevin (4/5): - Can't rate as we did not take the trip due to a medical emergency. The Motel was phoned (after the cut-off date for refunds) to let them know that we wouldn't be coming. I had hoped that if they were able to let the room, that we might be offered a credit note.The weekend was going to be very busy with a large National Trust event happening, so I am sure the room was re-let. \Anyway, no such offer was made. We get to Bathurst quite frequently, and our usual B&B is no longer available, so we were looking to find a replacement. Guess who has missed out!

- Andrew (2/5): - This motel needs ALOT of work. The rooms are extremely run down and need a very thorough clean (don’t look under the beds - YUCK!). Rooms were not serviced daily as you would expect from a motel. For $240 per night I expect a lot better. Very basic breakfast and not very hygienic (tubs of butter, jars of spreads for everyone to share/use). Facilities around the motel in bad state too. The road in is full of potholes. Kitchen facilities are very poor. Plug for sink didn’t fit therefore couldn’t wash up. The sponge supplied was used and dirty therefore assume the utensils were not cleaned properly. No hot water to the kitchen sink. A strong smell of gas within the kitchen area as we were located close to the gas hot water systems. No fluorescence tubes in any of the bed lights. Would not recommend this motel to anyone until they do a very big makeover.

The only thing they can work on is Internet connection. For 2023 offering unreliable internet at maximum 1Mb per second that does not even let you watch any video is ridiculous.

- Michaela (6/5): - The property was clean and I upgraded to the refurbished rooms for $10 per night however when I went to have a shower on arrival there was no water due to work being done by local council. When speaking with staff they said sorry nothing we can do should only be a couple of hours. I then logged into WiFi on the room which had a weak signal and kept logging in and out. When i spoke with staff they said it's it working now? The breakfast was just boxes of cereal and a selection of milk. One fruit yoghurt, canned peaches and bread that could be toasted. Instant coffee and sour fruit juice. The walls are very thin and you can hear conversations in the next room. The outside railings are flimsy and would not pass safety standards. I stayed 2 nights and the water was turned off the second day also. Staff said they would leave a message for management to see if a reimbursement could be made for at least the upgrade of $10 per night for the problems encountered. On check out the staff member acted dumb and kept saying, that is refurnished room, we have no control over water or internet. I had to purchase my own bottled water for in the room. No happy.

On my arrival, the lovely owner jumped straight in his car, went to Big W and purchased a Portacot and had it in our room within 20 minutes. Absolutely outstanding service, could not have been more comfortable or happier with our stay. Highly recommend!!

Check in was easy and staff were very nice. Pool for those that want to swim. There were little things that could be done to make the stay and the room much better; - fix the cupboards in the kitchen and the shelving. It's very shabby and looks extremely dirty. I rewashed the dishes I used just because where they were stored looked filthy and old. - invest in decent irons (or at least clean the existing irons) & ironing boards. Clothes were clean before I ironed them and dirty by the time I finished. Not cool. - check all remotes have batteries in them
- ELIZE (4/5): - Not clean inside the room. Shower was dirty, basin was and toilet. Room was smelly. Had to wait for 10 minutes before reception came. We left the same night and didn’t sleep in the room. Not a good experience.
- Sean (10/5): - I normally stay at Rydges however, I will never go back to Rydges after staying at the Gold Panner. Rydges only draw card is the view of the track other then that, the Gold Panner beats it in every way. Cheaper, cleaner and way more modern. It was a pleasure to stay there.
- Rodger (4/5): - This is a basic motel. No breakfast available and a long way from a source of this commodity. Similarly, other meals are a pain - given a walking temperature of mid thirties. This property is a long way from Bathurst and we would not go there again.
