- Jessica (9/5): Glam comfort great for families or groups - The apartment was super comfortable for a travelling group. We each got our own bedroom, and having two bathrooms, two living spaces and a full kitchen gave us lots of flexibility for spending time both together and apart, and the option for cooking our own meals. The apartment was well-appointed with lovely art and comfortable furniture and beds, and the complex pool was lovely to cool off after a big day. The location is very convenient to the supermarket and several restaurants. Our host was also super helpful and responsive when we encountered an issue with the allocated parking. There were multiple sets of stairs both inside our apartment and in the complex (yes there is an elevator in the complex, but the entry is still not step-free). Our apartment layout was you entered on the living room level, but bedrooms were all up or down stairs, so it would not be suitable for anyone with significant mobility issues.
- Juliana (6/5): - The apartment itself is good and the location too Dirty and full of dusty everywhere. Some of the kitchen stuff were dirty (badly washed). The apartment has too much things - decoration wise which collects more dusty and make it harder to clean specially with bad cleaners.
- Katrina (6/5): - The location of the Butterfactory was handy and overall the building and facilities were lovely. Our apartment was nicely decorated and despite the many stairs, it was a nice layout for larger groups. The shared courtyard was clean and well looked after. Townhouse #10 needs some updates.
In particular the bedding. All 5 beds were uncomfortable. The main bed being particularly bad. And the pillows were all either old or cheap. Mattress toppers and decent quality pillows (given we paid $1200 per night) should be a given.
The two bedrooms and living area downstairs have a bad damp smell.
The TV in the lounge room is too small for the size of the room and large groups.
The clothes dryer makes a very loud noise and is slow.
The downstairs toilet fan makes a terrible screeching sound.
The pool area was not private and was small and unkept.

The apartments were clean, nicely decorated, and very spacious. The showers in apartment 11 had weak/uneven water spray and the hallway bathroom shower curtain wasnât very effective so the water easily leaked out onto the floor. Some lights along the stairwell at night would be much needed to prevent tripping or falling.

A bathroom per floor, full kitchen and laundry, air conditioned, two car spaces, secure location and grounds. Proximity to restaurants, shops, grocery store and cinema, Perfect for a family getaway and would want to stay here again on a return trip. We found ourselves not wanting to even go outside it was pouring with rain & the beautiful apartment made cooking a joy Loved everything
- Kimberly (8/5): Large and central Byron Bay apartment, well located to experience everything. - This is a very large & clean apartment - it's spread over three floors. It's stylishly decorated and well located at the top end of the main street in byron. You can walk everywhere if you'd like to - we did a loop walk to lighthouse from there, to restaurants, supermarket, etc. Big comfy couches. Two little balconies so you could sit outside in the sunshine. Parking into our own garage (we were apt 1). Three toilets on three levels. The main bed mattress was very soft/unsupportive - not to my taste. The pool isn't heated, which was a shame considering our August visit. Location next to services club unfortunately saw noisy 5.30am rubbish collection on both Thur AND Fri am. No kitchen basics supplied. Not enough hot water to fill the spa bath inside more than half way (perhaps temp on system needs turning up?).

- Merryn (6/5): It was a great location and a spacious space, however a little update to appliances/decor would help - Location was great! Very spacious and communal space was great. Bed configuration (would have liked an option of a second queen bed). Photos on booking.com was of various apartments in the complex and ours were the last photos shown/not obvious which apartment it was. Lacking in basic necessities ie. tissue, paper towel, spray and wipe. Facilities that were available were a little old and worn ie. broken iron which kept tripping the electricity and fry pans pretty scratched up. Having to take the bins out and were far from the apartment.

- Marius (3/5): This property needs work. Not comfortable and rough. - The price and location. The apartment is in need of repairs and maintenance. The kitchen cupboards were falling apart, many electrical switches and power points were broken, fire alarm missing in master bed, beds super uncomfortable. Hot water wasnât enough for a family to shower, most days only 2 people could shower.

We booked this place because the pool looked awesome, it was Infact cold, lots of leaves and itâs tucked right by other peoples rooms, like right by them, absolutely not as expected and a bit disappointing when our daughter is a pool lover and why we chose the booking over another place.
There were a couple of things in apartment broken which didnât affect our stay, roller blind in lounge, chain broken, stairs to bottom level, one metal rod missing and screw in floor sticks up, another is loose and door handle into laundry bathroom is loose. Just done things to be fixed before anyone w children are there

The pool was nice.
The BBQ area was good also.
We had an issue with our apartment, and it was resolved quickly.
The communication with staff was fantastic and clear. We booked a townhouse near the pool and got apartment on level two.
The apartment was nice but we were set on the townhouse that we booked through booking.com.
- Louise (10/5): Perfect location, perfect place - We stayed in Apartment 6 and had everything we could have asked for - even down to a cheese board, with a selection of cheese knives, perfect for our afternoon wine out on the balcony. The view from the balcony was full of lush greenery making for a relaxing experience. The apartment is close to Woolworths for all your snack or meal needs and also within easy walking distance of all Byron Bays best restaurants, bars and beauty salons - everything needed for a fabulous girl's trip away. Communication with Fiona and Jacob was quick and easy - highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

- Williams (7/5): A fabulous holiday, and apart from the above issues the apartment was great - Location was fabulous and the apartment was lovely. Very clean The shower is terrible, barely any water pressure to the point where you had to cup your hands to get enogh water to splash on yourself to wash off the soap. The beds are also too soft, we all ended up with sore backs. Unfortunately there was construction next door also, so the noise was really bad (Not the accommodations fault)
- Samantha (10/5): Our new favourite holiday haven! - The property was well located, spacious, beautifully furnished and comfortable. We had quite a busy week during our stay, and the Butter Factory Apartments were the perfect oasis for our little family to spend time together and recharge between activities. During our stay the weather was inclement during our stay. The wind and rain on the tin roof was quite deafening during the night, impacting the length and quality of our sleep.

As water made its way in the apartment over a day or so the strong smell of mould in the lower bedrooms became very apparent

I think booking.com couldâve communicated the check in process better as I only found the instructions on an email after other more simple check-in instructions were sent. (Didnât think 2 versions of check in instructions would be sent!)

Providing a beach umbrella was so key!
Obviously, the location and everything in Byron Bay is so beautiful especially the beaches.
Super stocked kitchen and so many books - we all had a read or look through a few.
Heaps of pool and shower towels provided.
Comfortable furniture and living space.
Having a private garage was a plus.
The binder with the information about the area was helpful, especially what days all the markets were on.
Having two keys was helpful.
Lovely appliances.
The back courtyard area was a great place to enjoy a morning coffee or evening cocktail.
Great location close to the grocery store & the two restaurants directly across the street were our favorite of the week (Lightyears & Pixie's).
Was a great place to stay. Milk frother would have been the only addition in my opinion to the kitchen for our coffees! But that is just finding something to add here. We used one of the many pots on the beautiful gas stove so was completely fine in the end.
- Lorraine (10/5): We wanted to move in permanently- this place has everything you need and more ! - The property is so spacious and well designed . All the furnishings are of a high standard and good quality. So many rentals give you basics, but this property had everything in abundance ( towels , teas, coffees, washing and cleaning materials). My daughter had the lower floor to herself which she absolutely loved.
Location is perfect. Just a short walk to loads of restaurants, shops and the beach .
Without a doubt one of the best places all round that we have ever stayed in.
Would definitely recommend and would stay there again. Nothing , we all loved it !

The interior decoration was absolutely spot on and gave a very chic boho vibe which suited us perfectly. Apartment was clean, tidy, private and secure with ample room for guests/visitors. Incredibly stylish - you could tell that a lot of love and thought went into every room.
We loved absolutely everything - especially the amenities and facilities inside the room. There was even a coffee machine - which definitely helped us out with the Sunday Morning checkout đ
The room also included a washer dryer combo, dishwasher, spa bath, television, air conditioning, private balconies, pool, undercover car parking.. the list goes on! This place has everything you could want while staying in Byron Bay. Also, the beds are SO comfy.
We had such a beautiful stay. Will definitely be recommending this place to everyone I know and be coming back again soon! đ

- Kim (10/5): Great location and felt homely - Location was brilliant and close to all shops and restaurants, nightlife for adult children and an easy walk to the beach. The apartment was very clean, well stocked with everything you required. Plenty of room for adult children to relax and enjoy the property. Loved the security of underground car parking.

- Kara (7/5): We enjoyed our stay in Byron Bay and liked the very convenient access to shops/cafes/beach - The location was great and the apartment was very well cleaned. Instructions for accessing apartment were clear. There were insufficient kitchen utensils and not enough toilet paper or bin bags were provided for the 6 people staying. The room that leads out to the pool is very close to the deck chairs and therefore the curtains needed to remain down completely all day and night for privacy. The close proximity also meant that people making noise in the pool area at 2-3am was frustrating.
