Guest Reviews
- Alison (7/5): Pleasant, clean, well equipped with all we needed. - Clean room, comfy beds Glass sliding door needs maintenance, was very difficult to open and close.
- Poonam (8/5): -
- Kenneth (10/5): - Safe, clean and great staff
- Sarah (5/5): It was good to see family but would probably stay elsewhere. - It was in a good location, pool was great. Plates were dirty, we had no tea towel to dry our dishes and no broom to sweep floor only a dustpan which wasn’t practical. Electric frypan would be good as hot plates took for ever to warm up. Washing machine took money from me and didn’t work and office wasn’t manned so could the my money back.
- Michael (10/5): - Its what i paid for. Nothing.9
- MARK (7/5): -
- Mark Lenard (8/5): Affordable one night stay. - Ideal for a quick one night stop. It's nothing special but it's not meant to be. No security fences or gates.
- Jo (10/5): - Very clean
- John (9/5): - It was in a good location in the township
- Rosalind (7/5): - It was comfortable, clean & tidy Ran out of toilet paper
- Rod (6/5): Not very good - Quite location & not much more Floors dirty sliding door not slide
- Patrick (9/5): -
- Kathrin (8/5): - Spacious cabin, very clean, friendly staff. Quiet location
- Rachael (8/5): Another great ‘caravan park’ - Great spot with ensuites. Could use a bit of a fix up.
- Catherine (6/5): Not the best option - The location and also the water pressure and hot water in the ensuite bathroom. The lady at reception was kind. The bunk beds were uncomfortable and squeaky. It was expensive when compared to other cabin/bungalow accommodation. Very dated and old.
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Jeffers (5/5): Was not comfortable from arrival to departure - We arrived at 22:00 hours, took us a little run around to find cabin 56, upon entering we found it very cold at around 12° Celsius. My wife, daughter and my self spent the next hour trying to warm the room by changing the settings on the remote control, without any success and had to pull out all blankets available to keep warm for the night, that includes going to bed in our track suits in an effort to get warm. Everything else was okay, but a sleepless night made for an uncomfortable night and terrible drive on to our next destination, as we were all still tired from restless nite We arrived at 22:00 hours, took us a little run around to find cabin 56, upon entering we found it very cold at around 12° Celsius. - Stacey (9/5): Superb - The bed was super comphy Toilets outside the cabin in winter
- Mark (7/5): Good - Clean and quiet. Very dated. Nothing. It was just ok
- Karina (9/5): We stayed just the one night for the races. The little cabin was clean, tidy, comfortable and had everything we needed. - It was clean & tidy.
- Phil (7/5): Excellent location, away from traffic noise - Location to town and off the highway was good N/A
- Michelle (7/5): Good - After hours check in
- Santanna (7/5): Good -
- Santanna (7/5): A quiet and secluded place - A quiet place with our own bathroom. Comfortable bed. Our cabin slide door was damaged. Had to jiggle the slide door to lock and unlock as it was loose and damaged at the hinge. It would make a loud noise, especially at night when going to the bathroom. The lock served its purpose though, it just took a few tries to lock and unlock.
- Clint (3/5): We won’t be coming back and won’t be recommending this place to family and friends - The barbecue area was clean and very handy for our family gathering. The pool was nice and the toilets were clean. Rude front office staff. You should hire people who like their job and are friendly and accommodating to customers not rude and unhelpful. Very disgusting behaviour.
The housekeeping staff were nice and friendly and more helpful than the woman in the front office.
- Nathan (7/5): Good -
- Michele (8/5): - It was ok for one night.
- Bronwyn (7/5): Very happy - Not applicable We like it for an overnight stay.
- William (6/5): - It is what you expect it is.
However the bulk dead roaches in the bathroom were a put off. Other than that it’s a stopover
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Great little stop over Nothing
- Julian (9/5): Superb -
- Daniels (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glen (10/5): - Very clean and well presented best kept secret in Mt Isa
- Shane (8/5): - Cooking facilities poor and very limited
Bedding excellent
- Ryan (9/5): Superb - Location
Staff Rooms could do with some upgrades (no flyscreen and there were wasps in area)
- Barry (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (7/5): Clean and comfortable. Quick overnight stay so was perfect. -
- Adam (8/5): Very good -
- Gg (8/5): Very good -
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Mahoney (10/5): Exceptional - Everything The lights needs fixing but overall happy
- Danial (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jennifier (7/5): Great place to stay close to town centre without the noise associated with it. - Room was great. Shower and toilet is outside but NO BUGS and shower was AMAZING Room did have small ants come in when food was left on table. (even just 10 minutes and they were there)
Door to cabin as quiet difficult to lock.
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lindsay (4/5): - Nothing. We didn't get in. Closed up
- Michelle (7/5): Good -
- Aaron (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tina (10/5): - A lovely stay thank you!
- Faith (8/5): Very good - Good location, lady on reception was very helpful. We had a granddaughter who was sick late at night, and the people at the park responded very quickly and did not complain. Thank you. We loved the shower and the van.
The only down side was that the shower got clogged up, but was to do with the drain we were told. Other than that the water pressure and shower was very nice.
The van didn't have heating, or we didn't know where to find it. Otherwise comfortable and quiet surroundings.
- Stephen (8/5): - Well presented. Comfortable bed and fairly quiet park. Staff were great as well.
- Allan (10/5): - Clean tidy well set-up self contained cabins
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff. Felt safe and secure
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I didn't stay as the park canceled my reservation and told me to get a refund from your company. I have sent several emails with no reply. At present I would not recomend you company to any body.
- Paula (6/5): - Terrible bed. I’m only 64kg and sunk in it all night.
- Paula (8/5): Lovely - Always a lovely, clean, quiet and safe place to stay!
- Adrian (10/5): Mt isa discovery park - We stayed two nights and really enjoyed the place. The pool is shaded and relaxing. Kids had a ball.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It had a dining hall that had a seafood buffet that was delicious.
- Sara (10/5): Affordable comfort and great customer service. - The staff went above and beyond to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. The pool was a reprieve from the hot weather. Nice green grass and the rooms aircon was awesome.
- Deb (2/5): Never been so scared in my life - Lovely lady at counter when checking in. Then headed to cabin to realise bathroom was out side not stated till you click on further info! Terrible smell hit you as opened the door tried to spray perform to get rid of smell with no luck to find smelly things in wardrobe that was causing disgusting smell. Then to read on trip advisor about recent break ins and thefts!!! No warning given till we found a hand written note left on our door step! No personal warning!
Doors are dodgy so bunks were placed against the door. Would never recommend staying here!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Basic - Basic accommodation that met a need traveling through MT Isa, nothing outstanding
- TJ (8/5): Spacious cabin - Great Cabin with kitchenette, I forgot the bathroom was outside.
Backpackers kept us up all night.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very disappointing experience - Changes were made without our knowledge and we had to take another taxi to their other park which is located out of town. Once there there was on one available and no contact phone number to call. When we eventually received the key to our room there was no hot water which is not acceptable especially with a young child and after being on the road all day. No offer of reimbursement or compensation was made nor an apology! Very poor service in my opinion.
- Sivaguru (10/5): Value for Money - This is a good place and good value for money.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very disappointed - Room two small toilet and shower where outside so kid found that hard at night by him self and bed keep rolling across the floor was on wheel so I slep in kids bed and he slept on big one
- James (10/5): Beautiful, quiet and tidy... stay! - Checking in and out was simply. All facilities were clean and tidy! Excellent price and delightful to stay when travelling through Queensland.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet clean budget accommodation in Mt Isa - 2 night stay. I have stayed here before & would do so again. Budget cabin with separate ensuite. Suitable for up to 2 adults & 2 children. Well equipped with small microwave, electric jug & toaster, also cutlery & crockery. This park is in a mostly residential area & is very quiet with plenty of bird life. The grounds are well kept. The staff were friendly, helpful & efficient as they were on the previous occasion. There is a good after hours key pick up & drop off system. I recommend having your email on your phone to receive instructions re key collection passwords etc. if you arrive after hours. There is a small range of essential goods on sale in reception area.
- Sheridan (10/5): Clean and great customer service. Also great price - Check in was quick and smooth with great customer service.
- bee (8/5): Working holiday - Had to do a little working holiday in mount isa with my husband. Very comfortable accomodation and it was all to a high standard.
Staff were amazing was lovely to feel welcome our whole stay and we actually are staying longer instead of going to another park, very relaxing.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean, comfortable, quiet budget accommodation - Well maintained caravan park and accommodation. Everything worked - lights, a.c., tv, fridge etc - even outside lights to light my way to shower & toilet at night. A rare thing in the Isa. A.C. Was on when I arrived at the end of a long hot drive - thoughtful gesture. Much appreciated. Stayed in a cabin (another word for donga in the modern world). This had a "private ensuite" - toilet & shower outside but close to cabin. Only downside - rather large, albeit friendly, dogs roaming around. I chose this accommodation simply on price. Mt Isa accommodation is unashamedly expensive for what is on offer & this was a 'special' price. I would not pay the normal listed price. So am continuing my search for suitable accommodation for my regular trips to Mt Isa. The rates for caravans seemed quite good & the grounds had a nice spacious feel.
- Dean (6/5): Aircon fell apart - On a quick roadtrip so just needed somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep the night.
Room was very basic and clean enough.
Photos are deceiving, as each cabins toilet facilities are actually outside in an adjoining brick building.
As I went to go to sleep the aircon was extremely noisy and at 4am the front of it fell off and landed on the floor.
For $99 I've stayed at better.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great on site buffet - Had a good time, stayed an extra night
- chris (8/5): Quite surrounding. Away from the main road. - Good location, away from main road.quite surrounding.
- Orthy (10/5): Overnight stay - We only stayed overnight in this caravan park and it was excellent for the cheap cost. We had a cabin, with outside on suite, very clean and quiet. The reception staff were very helpful.
- Thomas (6/5): Highway stop off - Easy to arrange a late check in with the staff, rooms have bathrooms separate with kitchenette and TV with basic channels. Good location for a quick overnight stay when on the road!
- David (10/5): Not just another overnighter - Only in Mt Isa for the night. Cabin was well equipped BUT it was the person on the front desk who made the stay an experience. The sort of person every company should have as the first person members of the public meet up with.
- alison (10/5): - selfcontained cabin/ensuite outside. swimming pool available Staff helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice caravan park - Very clean cabins. Friendly staff and very helpful. Would recommend :)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent for families and couples - Had a fantastic stay - very friendly staff and great atmosphere especially for kids and families.
- julie (6/5): Budget priced cabin - The hot water was faulty so they quickly relocated us this was good service response. The cabins are basic with minimal amenities. Very clean
- Outback AL (8/5): Nice Cabin - Cabin was a comforting sight after a huge drive. clean with a comfy bed. Will satay here again next time.
- Dustin (6/5): Nice Stay on a road trip - Welcome stop after a long days drive from from Alice Springs. Clean Shower and amenities, dodgy sliding door and a few mozzies, but great sleep.
- Louise (6/5): Affordable comfort. - Simple comfortable accommodation at an affordable price. Ensuite (outdoor( bathroom/shower facilities could be improved, but overall we were happy with our stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was very clean and neat , staff helpful and friendly , kids loved the pool which was also very clean
- jenn (10/5): Road trip to Burketown - Beautiful setting .. Lovely and quiet. Cabin was ready early and beautifully made up and spotlessly clean. Loved it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Mt Isa park - Not happy with cabin without bathroom, so sent to another Discovery park.
- Andrew (10/5): Great value and comfort - Loved the service we got and it was a comfortable and friendly place to stay.
- Trevor (8/5): Holiday trip - We stay for one night on our way to the Northern Territory and found it very comfortable.
- sheriff (8/5): sheriff - good and clean
- Scotty (8/5): Clean and Comfortable - Bit hard to find but once there staff was most accomodating. Pool was enjoyable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very impressed with the quality of the cabin. The park is close to the city area and convenient. Maybe a little stark in appearance due to the lack of grassy areas, but well set up
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ok stay but no Internet and not walking distance to main shopping centre otherwise clean and comfortable.
- johnno (10/5): Nice cabins. Very friendly staff - We got their on good Friday and the lady at reception had every thing ready for us. The cabins were very comfortable and they were the cheapest in Mount isa. The only downside is the toilet and shower is outside your cabin but it's still very clean and comfortable and you can only get in to it with your room key so no one else can use it.
- Carolyn (10/5): - Facilities: Basic; Value: Affordable; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Spotless;
