Lucky (4/5): Thredbo is expensive, but there are better options - Be warned; the room is old and tired, the beds aren't comfortable, the line is old, the windows don't seal properly, there are LOTS of stairs, there is no parking, etc. The staff are pleasant, and i had no issues with the stay but in Thredbo you don't really get what you pay for. Thredbo Resort needs to do more to justify the expense of accommodation in the village.
gordon (8/5): Loveliest Hotel Crew on the Mpuntain - Just such a lovely group of people taking care of you. Cass and Brad have such a finely tuned machine and great staff to make the stay with kids so easy. The restaurant is serving wonderful Thai food that far exceeded our expectations, and it’s some of the most reasonable on the mountain.

Quality Sony TV and radio - good to see rather than cheap alternatives. Breakfast included. Highly recommended!

libby (10/5): Good location - Comfortable and convenient location, unloading bay good. I made an error booking online but fixed easily when I rang. Basic rooms but better than expected. Friendly staff. Good drying room that didn't smell. Very effective heaters! Continental breakfast very handy, ability but a beer after skiing also appreciated. Would happily stay here again for a longer time.

What a pleasant surprise to see there is a Thai restaurant inside the hotel itself! It's impossible to drive straight to the hotel because of a steep hill - it was very difficult to get packed and re-packed again.

Paul (10/5): Friendly staff, great service - Our family of four stayed in a two-bedroom room for four nights in January. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and the continental breakfasts were excellent. The service was exemplary, and extremely friendly. The only issue was that the beds in the children's room were bunk beds and the top one is a little awkward to climb into.

paul (10/5): Last minute it was. - Booked 6 hours before my arrival, was greeted by friendly reception staff and resturant staff were fantastic. Close walk to the village centre. Room was comfortable with ensuite and was nice and warm. Oh I forgot to mention there is an outstanding Thai restaurant on the middle level with a Thai chef using all fresh produce. Full breakfast was included. Would recommend any single, couple, family or group a pleasant stay.
scott (8/5): A ski lodge for skiers and their families. - Warm friendly welcoming staff, as was the lodge Itself. My bed was a little hard for my liking, but otherwise it was everything I would of expected. I would return there happily.
Verified traveler (8/5): Quick ski break - Alpenhorn was generally a quiet surprise all round; in a good way. Booked last minute for a couple of ski days in Thredbo. It's at the top of a steep driveway, so you have to handle that when walking up or down. Near to bus stop though. Staff friendly, room comfortable enough but room 8 is right next door to kitchen, which is a Thai restaurant 6 nights per week. Activity around the room didn't stop until 11pm. Otherwise comfortable stay.
RAY (10/5): A Room with a View - Just a short 2 night stay and Nigel was the perfect host. The room was cozy and had a great view of the mountain. I will definitely stay again.
Marko (8/5): Mtb gateway with friends - Very friendly staff, central position with a quick access to Thredbo shops, lifts, restaurants and pubs. We were lucky to get a family room 21 which is quite spacey and has a great bathroom with a tub, life saver after a hard day of Mtb. Wifi on and off, not working in evenings and nights. A very basic breakfast. Good value for money overall
Verified traveler (8/5): "Friendly" is an understatement - A nice little lodge that was great for the price. The facilities were all we needed and were all in good clean condition. The hotel staff were the most friendly and pleasant hotel staff I've ever encountered. It was with some amusement that I saw a reference to "The Friendly Lodge" painted on their vehicle, outside. This is an understatement. A happy greeting as we left the lodge in the morning set us up for a good day and the same on our return was nice, too. People often under value the importance of this.

Emma (10/5): Great service and facilities - The Alpenhorn Lodge lives up to its intent to be the 'friendliest lodge' in Thredbo. Service was faultless, and facilities amongst the best in Thredbo - the Alpenhorn gives the Denman and the Alpine Hotel a run for their money. I've stayed twice and I will be back for sure.
Steve (8/5): Cosy & Comfortable Lodge Close to Thredbo Lifts - Host Nigel accommodated our early arrival allowing us to store luggage, until the rooms were available later in the day. The breakfast buffet was excellent covering Continental and Full Cooked choices, all included in the tariff. The lodge has a Thai Restaurant operating in the dining room in the evenings. Again the meals were excellent, made with fresh ingredients, and were fairly priced.
