It seemed to get better over time, but we mentioned it to the staff in booking message and never got a response. Kitchen was pretty good, always clean with working appliances although has a random assortment of cooking equipment - has pots and frypans but only 1-2 bowls and minimal cutlery. Easily remedied by buying forks from the op shop! We stayed here before and after doing the Queen Charlotte walk. Easy access to town, tour companies and a little beach for swimming. Would recommend staying here. The cabin we stayed in (no 12) the single bed mattress is so old and destroyed that you fall right through it onto the bed base - seriously needs to be replaced. However the queen bed was very comfortable and we have stayed at this park another time recently in a different cabin with new mattresses so probably just a few need updating and the rest are fine.

The timer that turns the light off in the bathrooms at night needs to be a bit longer - was frustrating to have to finish your shower in the dark!

The kitchen was new and modern and had everything you needed even a coffee pod machine. Check in and key drop were on point. A perfect place for our 2 night stay before heading back to Wellington on the Ferry.
