Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Amenities were missing, small freezer no fridge. No instructions for complex microwave. cooking was interesting
- Rhonda (2/5): - This is probably the worst Motel which I have stayed at. The room was clean, but very unkept and old. The pool was mossy on the edges and very uninviting. The only thing going for it was the bed was comfy.
- Victoria (10/5): - We enjoyed the quiet, clean room. The staff were extra helpful and the location is excellent, on one side it’s a short walk to the esplanade, on the other side a scenic short stroll to The Wharf.
- Louise (4/5): - Place run down shower terrible TV can nor get a lot of channels
- Scott (2/5): Would not recommend - Checked in late. Had to use back Entrance. Which Had no signage. Next to a loud busy hostel. Had a tv in the room with no channels. It’s almost like they forgot to pay the paid tv. And it didn’t even have your standard channels. Not worth $120 for the night. Would not recommend
- Cait (2/5): - Woke up to loud industrial noise at 7am. Fixing something in the adjoining wall, called management and was told ' sorry theyll be done soon'. Come back at 11am and theyre still going. Very cold rooms, insufficient blankets. Shower curtain is a joke. Water goes all over the floor and is a health and safety issue no bath mat. Walls are paper thin so you know exactly what your neighbours are up to if you get what i mean. Definitely wont be staying and wont be recommending this to anyone ever wish the refund policy was different, Definitely wouldve preferred to stay else where for our second night.
- Nic&Judy (8/5): - Basic room & comforts (heating/aircon upgrade soon). Good location within walking distance to most shops, restaurants, clubs, beach etc.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Went to check in but the venue was over booked. Had to find alternative accommodation
- Unhappy (4/5): - Everything is run down, very minimal in every aspect. Noisy location, terrible access from the road, gate shut at 8pm each night. We needed to phone reception mid afternoon Sunday to get checked in & our details were written on a scrap of paper, excess noise from neighbours partying both nights, rooms have no soundproofing, we were woken many times during the night by the man next door snoring. Curtain rail falling off wall, accumulation of pest droppings in window. No water pressure in the shower, old worn blankets, no cutlery with tea & coffee.
- BuffaloBill (8/5): - It was great, though the led lights flikkered all the time they were on, otherwise we had a very comfortable stay.
- Megan (8/5): Convenient for concerts - We stayed here to go to Elton concert, it was a short walk to the bus. Very convenient
- Francesca (10/5): Great for a night or two - Great location 10 minute walk to Mooloolaba beach and close to shops.
Facilties are little old but for the price you pay - cant complain!!!
Would stay here again
- Brad (8/5): - Good for the money 💰. Clean, great location, friendly service.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to the beach and esplanade. Easy walk to most places
- Patrick (10/5): - Great location great service
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Good location.
No shampoo or other bathroom products bar a small block of soap.
Large gap under the front door allowing bugs in.
Light outside the room was on all night and couldn’t be switched off.
Bed was uncomfortable and I could feel the inner springs.
Curtain was old allowing light in.
Fridge made noise all night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Easy access, what you’d expect for the rate. Staff were helpful
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My son arrived on our door step unannounced. As we were doing reno's we didn't have a spare bed. Central Motel was very clean, afordable, close to shops and buss routes. My son ended up staying for four nights.
Staff was very friendly
- Alexandra (8/5): Good budget accommodation - We booked very last minute and accommodation was scarce. Room was clean, functional and comfortable and better than I expected for the price. My only comment would be that the shower curtain could have been replaced, was clearly pretty old. Great value for budget accommodation.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I particularly liked the closeness to other businesses
- Verified traveler (4/5): Fine - Room was clean and fine, parking was easy, check in was easy. Location was great, very close to the main part of Mooloolaba - all in walking distance. Bed was particularly uncomfortable, and had rowdy guests screaming and threatening one another all through the night until 7 am with no action from the motel and due to the behaviour outside the room unable to even try and get to reception to see if management could be contacted.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Convenient location. Close to amenities, short walk to the beach
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Within walking distance of beach shopping etc. good off Street parking
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location was excellent for a quick 10min walk to beach and esplanade. Room was comfortable and quiet (at back of the property). Service was good and very friendly. Great value for money.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very noisy - all night could hear the people 2 rooms away shouting at eachother as though they were in my room. Girls running up and down the complex all night. Very hard mattress on the bed.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It is the worst motel in the best location. There were faults with aircon, tv, bathroom extractor fan. No shampoo, service on 2nd day.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The motel unit was clean and comfortable. The location was close to all that Mooloolaba is renown for, beach, shops, restaurants.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the pricing was reflected in the accomodation . we didn't need ocean views , location was awesome to shopping venues , and a reality check for my sons was evident . I would stay at the venue again
- Elizabeth (6/5): overnight traveller - Just an ordinary old style motel, convenient to beach , shops and the area I needed to go.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I think it's good value for money. Walls are paper thin and we could hear the person in the next room coughing during the night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location in view of the water. Amazing area. Close to restaurants and shops. All walking distance.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very central easy to walk to everything. Friendly and helpful staff
- Verified traveler (6/5): - You get what you pay for. The price was normal without the “Mooloolaba Markup”. I would not pay any more than this for the property.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - close to water and eateries. well priced
for a family room and quiet spacious.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Property very run down. Broken bed in room, tv remote working intermittently, broken curtain rod. Needs money spent...
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was fine... Is located next to backpackers and we had kids... Dont rent if you enjoy sleeping.
- Deb (6/5): - Basic and accomodating for our short stay.
Only there to sleep.
- Katrine (8/5): Fine hotel - Unfortunately the wifi didn't work
- wayne (10/5): Nice holiday spot - Great , cheap and comfortable place to stay. Close to shops , beach and sealife.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The motel is at a convenience location and affordable to me.
- Kelsey (8/5): - Brilliant location. Friendly staff. All the essentials for a comfortable budget stay. Only negative is limited kitchen facilities. Overall very positive experience.
- Gubendran (2/5): - The TV remote was not working. No dustbin in the room. Not enough plug points
- Klaus (8/5): - Great if your in transit. Good directions from staff and room was clean and tidy
- Amy (8/5): - Easy to find. Room was clean & comfortable for an overnight stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Bed terrible, no hot water, and by motel standard room setup it was very poor
- Michelle (10/5): - As a single mum giving my son a holiday is hard, I found this central motel on a website and wow I could not believe the price. So I booked and when I got there the manager was so friendly, the room was clean and very close to everything. I will be definitely coming back here again for my next holiday. Thanks heaps.
- Henny (4/5): - Traffic and backpacker hostel noise, room not serviced, beds very uncomfortable, would not stay there again.
- Mike (6/5): Comfortable, clean which was all I needed. - Comfortable, clean which was all I needed for what I was doing for the couple of days in town.
- Mike (8/5): - Clean, comfortable and convenient for what I was doing.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very basic and access difficult. When we checked into our room it stank of sewage. Manager quickly unblocked drains and fixed problem but beds were uncomfortable and NO bedside or reading lights. Only overhead dazzling downlights which make reading or bathroom in night wakes other sleepers.
- Conny (8/5): - Very helpful staff, great location, clean and comfortable
- Lyn (8/5): - Ok Motel good walking distance to beach and waterfront
No view and little noisy but economical so ok
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location. Small room - Nice and close to the beach and surf club. Rooms are small and minimal, ok for an overnighter.
- Shirley (8/5): - It was close to where we needed to be for this visit and only about 10 minutes from our daughters house. We liked that, for older people, it wasn't too far to walk to the esplanade, local shops and eateries. We got a temporary membership of the club across the street, which helped our meal budget. Though there is a backpackers next door, our room, being closer to the back street and night entrance, we didn't hear their revelries once we were inside, with the door shut and TV on. The kitchen, near the reception area was well enough stocked to do our own cooking had we wished. The young managers were very pleasant and helpful.
- Michelle (6/5): Close to beach/shops - We only stayed one night. It was adequate for what we needed but I wouldn't stay here for any longer because of the lack of facilities. It was clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The rooms are always clean and tidy. We always stay at this motel due to the friendliness of the owner and the location to the wharf area.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very noisy - Extremely noisy due to backpackers hostel next door. Room is quite nice and recently renovated.
It doesn't have 24hr access to Brisbane road which was a pain for a 3.30am pick up.
- Susan (8/5): Pleasant stay - Very welcoming and friendly people ... Very quaint bricked grounds and clean, comfortable rooms ... Would stay there again 👍
- janey (8/5): Clean comfortable rooms. Great location. - Close to shops, beach and restaurants. Very friendly helpful staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location easy walking distance to beach - Enjoyed facilities location and the price. The room was very clean and comfortable
- nathan (10/5): Great value motel in an excellent location. - Our visit started with an orientation by a staff member. It was a clean room, and we had adjoining rooms with the kids. Only 300m to the surf club. I’ll be staying here again.
- Bev (10/5): Walking distance to beach - It was great to see that Central Motel was close to shops and great food. It was a casual walk to the beach and only took about 10 minutes to walk. The atmosphere of the Central Motel gave out the feeling of "You are here to relax"
- kate (8/5): Great location - Car parking was a little tricky for large cars when the car park was full and a pedestrian access would be handy on the main road side when the car access gates are locked but other than that our very short stay was great for what we needed
- Richard (8/5): Top Job at Christmas! - Great to get excellent motel at busy time of the year with a very friendly boss!
- Disappointed (2/5): Disappointing accommodation - We were told by reception upon check in that we were lucky she was about to make lunch. We stayed two nights and did not see management/reception staff the entire time. Went to ask about wi-fi and was answered by person using intercom despite it being within reception hours. Room sadly in need to attention. Springs coming through mattress, very dirty shower curtain. Outside garden needs attention as we witnessed a frond (quite large) fall on another guest's vehicle. We do appreciate what you pay for but this motel is less than back-packer standard.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Short comfortable stay close to all amenities and good value for the location
- laurel (10/5): - Perfect for our needs and close to everything. Room compact but quiet and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location - Value for money, clean and quiet...friendly check in staff..would stay again for sure
- Michelle (8/5): Great location, basic room, but comfy - Quiet location, basic room, nice garden surroundings, easy access in and out, good price.
- Rhys (10/5): Cheap Price and Comfortable - Great place to stay for a short weekend stay.. Great walking distance to mostly everything in Mooloolaba. Wonderful and helpful staff.
- Rhys (10/5): Cheap in cost and comfortable - Very quiet and comfortable. Just the Wright place to stay for a weekend away
- Judy (8/5): Close to river, shops and many eateries. - Very close to parks along the river and a short walk to the beach.
An older hotel, but clean and very comfortable with friendly managers.
- Mike (8/5): Nice motel convenient location - Nice Hotel. Convenient location. Locking the front gate at 6pm a bit of a minor pain but no real hasslesp
- Gayatri (6/5): value for money - Good location, close to everything, friendly service. Room was clean, smelled faintly of bleach and had basic amenities. However, the walls were quite thin and we could hear our noisy neighbours on both sides.
There is a backpacker’s next door as well, but there were no noise disturbances or other problems with them.
All in all, if you want an affordable hotel room with free parking in central Mooloolaba, this is the right place.
- Sid (4/5): Basic hotel. Very basic amenities. - Basic hotel with basic amenities. 24hr kitchenette had maggots in there so wouldnt even risk cooking in there.
- Bri (8/5): - Very confortable motel, ckose walk to beach and underwater world. Very reasonably priced, i would definitely stay again
- Phil (6/5): Easy walk to beach. - Overall a good stay. Basic but serviceable. Rooms ok. Places to grab a meal close by.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean, tidy hotel - The Hotel was great value for the price. It was clean, tidy, reasonably priced and a short walk to the beach and all other amenities.
- Pat (8/5): - We were only there for one night but found it to be very central
- Shaz (8/5): Nice Relaxing Hotel - Nice clean relaxing hotel, very nice consideration for the owner
- Verified traveler (8/5): Handy location easy o drive to and walk to beaches - It was a good value stop for me for a one night stopover to run the Sunshine Coast Marathon
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great for a overnight bed - we just needed somewhere to sleep overnight to be local for an appointment early the next morning. The staff were helpful for our late check in. The room was clean and tidy, beautiful towel animal. The bathroom was clean. Mattress was little lumpy but not too bad. I arrived at night in a large 4wd, still made it down the narrow driveway with its overhanging trees. Just glad there were not too many cars in the carpark as the turning circle was not big enough for a large vehicle.
- Leanne (4/5): - Unfortunately we stayed on a Saturday night and it was very noisy with the backpackers next door and a couple yelling at each other from 1 am until 3! The unit was in a block of three and you could hear everything. Next time I would pay a bit more and get somewhere nicer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great budget hotel - Close to everything, really nice and helpful stay, room had everything I needed and has seperate kitchen to use.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Just what I needed ! - Convenient location - very flexible and helpful staff - good cheap accommodation for an overnight stay...
- Verified traveler (4/5): Okay if in need of somewhere to stay - Basic room had some nice touches with a inspirational picture and flowers on the breakfast bar and towel made into a swan.
Shared kitchen facility was helpful and the place seemed quiet which I liked.
Location is great walking distance to everything including beach.
Probably wouldn't stay again though as the cleanliness was not that great.
- james (4/5): Room clean - Room was not cleaned each day nor were new tools left or bed made etc. Not good enough for the money
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very pleasant stay. Nice & close to nearby tourist attractions & restaurants.
- Jan (8/5): Hotel was clean and comfortable, centrally located - Booking was easy. Price was very reasonable. Centrally located, clean and comfortable. Staff helpful.
- Stephen (6/5): Handy to everything - On walking into the room, it was old and out of date (but ok to sleep in). The towels had been done like a Swan on the bed which was lovely. The bathroom had been updated and was very modern. There was an outdoor setting in the corner of the room with 1 chair ( there was 2 of us). There was only 2 towels and a bath mat and soap. No face washer or shampoo...lucky we took some shampoo. There was only 1 bedside table also. The TV reception was shocking.
At night the backpackers next door were very noisy
- Rusty (8/5): Great - Great location, everything you need. Good air con. Having Foxtel with its own remote was awesome. Friendly staff willing to help.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quality clean modest unit - The manager is a great guy, super easy to get in and the location is superb!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): You ger what you pay for. - Cockroches garlore. Shower not clean.
over priced for what you get.other places similar price are better.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointing stay - Hotel staff allowed us in early which was pleasing
Only stayed there for one night due to convenient location to triathlon event
Room old , tiny and out dated compared to other motels in the same area
Some complimentary shampoo and Conditioner would be nice as well
Shared Kitchen facilities were a good distance from our room to walk
Tight driveway to get in and out from our room
- Verified traveler (4/5): Good location - Unfortunately had to move to 3 different rooms over the 2 night stay to find a room with a working air conditioner.
And on the third room found a piece of broken beer bottle glass still lying on the carpet. Hmmmm
- Verified traveler (4/5): Close to beach but noisy - Sign at front entrance directs to back entrance which isn't signed. Next door to backpacker hostel full of all night parties
- Grant (8/5): Great Stay - Needed a good place to stay one night and this was a Gem. Cheap, Clean, Tidy, Comfortable and easy going friendly staff. Thank you
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location, close to beach, Underwater world - Over all a good experience, love being able to walk to beach, shops and out for dinner.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This place was okay for budget. Would stay again
- Verified traveler (2/5): WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER - RECPETION CLOSES AT 6 AND MANAGEMENT COULD NOT BE LESS ACCOMMODATING, IF YOU DON'T MAKE IT INTIME YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR MONEY
