• Harry (8/5): If you're looking for stunning mountain views and an old school bnb experience, this is the place! - Brad and Fujino were phenomenal, they run a brilliant old school bed and breakfast with stunning views, beautiful clean curated room, Brad made eggs on toast from their chickens in the backyard and I enjoyed every minute of my stay, highly recommend. There were 3 lovely cats that were great, but if you were allergic this might have been a shock as even one ended up in my room at one point when I went to take a shower.

• Thomas (10/5): Really enjoyable place and host. - 16 Havelock - A pleasant place to stay. Our welcoming host and chef Brad who clearly loves living in New Plymouth. The breakfast which consisted of Muesli, Fried Eggs and / or Sausages with Toast and Tea / Coffee which set us up well until lunchtime. The view of Mt Taranaki from the deck.

• Greg (9/5): Fantastic hosts, very accommodating and great to talk with. - Brad was very helpful and really easy to get along with. We had beautiful home made toast with lovely eggs from his hens, a great night's sleep and fantastic shower in the morning to start our day.🤗 The only thing we didn't like was the weather, but the host couldn't help that.

The hosts are both very kind and welcoming, they even allowed me to prepare my own food in their kitchen. The breakfast that prepared by Brad was simple yet delicious, and I personally like the homemade bread very much. Sad that I didn’t get to enjoyed the view due to the weather :( I enjoyed my stay at Brad and Fujiko’s place very much and would definitely recommend to others as well !

Brad makes a delicious breakfast, especially the eggs from his chickens, which thrive in the tranquility and relaxation of that environment, and the bread! Brad is a man who enjoys life's simple pleasures, and that's precisely what he conveys at all times. Staying in Havelock is choosing rest, tranquility, a pause, not thinking about anything, just existing and enjoying the surroundings. I feel very fortunate to have chosen this place and to have met Brad; he´s been very inspiring.

It made the erst of the day so much better. The house was well laid out and clean and very comfortable. The hosts were wonderful. I can't remember if the advert shows that there is a set of stairs to get to the house. Not a problem for most people but good for people to know so if they can't do stairs they know to go elsewhere.

Breakfast was delicious, with Brad baking fresh bread and cooking eggs from their backyard chickens each morning. It was also a nice time to meet the various other guests. I stayed in a single room, which was perfect for a solo traveller. A highlight was the spectacular views of Mt Taranaki and the ocean from the lounge room and deck.

Short trip into town, close to beaches and walks. We couldn’t have asked for more at the end of our North Island trip. Brad was an excellent host with a down to earth, live and let live nature. We totally enjoyed our stay and were kind of sad to leave in the end!! Absolutely nothing!!
