It backs onto a slope which meant no light comes in from the back of the flat and that maybe is the source of dampness. The place looked clean at first glance, but there was actually dust in many places. The owner was friendly

The wifi connection was great and I was provided with some local information that helped me plan my day trips. The villa came with all the essentials, including an ironing board and a vacuum cleaner! Very comfortable bed and good shower pressure.

Free washing machines and $3 for dryers- also washing lines on your back deck WITH pegs was awesome! The villas have everything- beds were so comfy which is a bonus when travelling! Everything was absolutely clean and spotless! Cannot fault anything!

Location quiet and close to town (very short drive). Views over the bay were lovely - beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Large parking spots right outside the unit made loading and unloading the car easy.

Only thing that disappointed was it was advertised that there was room service and this was not the case, this needs to be adjusted in Wotif’s advertising.

- Colin (4/5): Nice place but could do better with cleaning - Sweet water villas was great to look at from the photo but on entering there was a container for sanitizer that had been used for cigarettes butts from a previous occupation the shower was extremely difficult to get a correct temperature 1 mm that way too hot 1mm the other too cold and had mouldy grouting and silicone......between the wall and the side table in the bedroom was a gap too big to get a vacuum cleaner in and consequently it was not vacuumed for quite sometime and had a build up of dust the kitchen was well appointed and had everything in it but having a sign saying that we would be charged a cleaning fee if it wasn’t clean is a bit rude isn’t it part and parcel of running a motel
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I liked the location but we were a bit disappointed with the cleaning part, we had to clean the coffee table which was pretty grubby also the lounge and chairs had not been cleaned properly and the windows have not been cleaned for a long time they have dirty marks all over them and covered with cobwebs we also had to wash the cutlery before we could use it .This could be a perfect place to stay apart from these easily fixed problems.
- Isobell (10/5): Comfortable clean holiday units. - Lovely comfortable property . The units are quite large and very comfortable. They are older style units and they would be very comfortable for a family having a holiday.
- Lisa (4/5): Rattle tap tap - Suitable for 2 but way over priced. The bed was exceptionally good compared to the rest of the facility. Poor maintenance stands out which just fails the whole experience. I have videos of probably the worlds loudest toilet, front door that rattles when the wind blows and allows the draft to bellow in, but most of all the vanity taps in the bathroom, basic plumbing repairs that can be googled...

E.g. clean glasses in the bathroom. Hair dryer and stocked broom cupboard. Large bowls for food served at the table were pyrex and not plastic. The rooms were a good size, the bed large and comfy, great little functional kitchen, ( although I couldn't work out how to use the microwave ). - Suzanne (10/5): lue for money - Our one bedroom villa was well appointed, clean and spacious with views over the bay from the balcony/patio area. The owner was very helpful with information regarding the villas and St Helen’s attractions and eateries. There was a large selection of DVD’s available at reception as well as an on site laundry. Bed was comfortable and water was hot with good pressure. The villas are out of town a bit so I would suggest driving to eateries or dining in as the villa had a fully fitted out kitchen with all you need.

Our only problem was the inadequate electric wall heater in the bedroom. It only raised the room temperature 1 degree Grad in 14 hours.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - We were in unit 8 and it is such a comfortable unit! We had everything we would need for us (a couple) to stay for a longer period than we had booked. Would be great for a week or more and wish we had that much time! Everything was clean and tidy, we even had a pair of recliner chairs (bliss). Free to use the laundry if you need to as well, wow! It was a little home away from home. My only gripe is the water saver shower head, they are so hard to get all the shampoo and conditioner out! I always feel like I'm wasting water trying to use them. All in all a lovely unit, beautiful views and only a short drive into CBD for food etc. Highly recommended.
