Guest Reviews
- Evan (10/5): -
- Crystal (10/5): Just stunning, photos definitely do not do it justice, you will have to come see yourself - The property has been very well maintained and updated, love learning about the history of the place.
Amenities where great, bed super comfy, Breakfast provisions amazing and the spa was so hard to get out of because I wanted to stay in it.
We will definitely be back again and have told all of our family and friends. Parking space was a little tight for our room but we have a SUV. Some possums jumping around the roof at night but nothing that kept us awake.
- Christine (10/5): Having stayed many times and just rebooked, I always enjoy staying at Eagle Foundry - Great hosts who are always easy to deal with. Rooms are always clean and well presented. Parking is so easy. Also easy access to the Main Street of Gawler. Nothing

- Bob (8/5): Great position, comfortable room, perfect shower, pity no gluten free - Pity there was no gluten free. Otherwise a wonderful selection. Perfect shower. Comfortable bed No gluten free
- Ellen (10/5): It was a lovely place to stay very friendly staff - It was clean and quiet
- MARTIN (9/5): - Location and pool table A 2nd double bed for couples required
- Way2Groovy (10/5): - Wonderful location! The host provided a lovely, clean, and well-stocked accommodation—right down to the local port wine, which was such a thoughtful touch. There was plenty of room, with great options for luggage whether you’re living out of a suitcase or prefer using drawers. We also loved having both a front and back entrance, and our favorite part was relaxing on the back patio in the morning.
The location is perfect for exploring the Barossa, and Gawler is a great town in its own right. We especially appreciated the rich history of the foundry and the care taken to make us feel right at home. Thank you for a terrific stay! That we had to leave!
- Les (10/5): -

- Donna (10/5): Top notch Bed and Breakfast. - Owner friendly and very welcoming on arrival. Property is maintained to a very high level, in keeping with it's rich history. Accommodation was spacious, extremely well set up and comfortable. Plenty of breakfast choices, with little extras, like port and chocolate, a lovely thoughtful gesture from the owners. Probably the best Bed and Breakfast I've ever stayed at. Worth an 11+ rating. Maybe new pillows, but that a personal opinion. Area very busy and is quite noisy.
- Robin (10/5): -
- Neil (10/5): Everything you need and more!! - Best equipped place we have visited in Gawler and this was our 3rd place that we have stayed at. We will be rebooking this great B&B when we return to Gawler. All are separate units with facilities without a communal breakfast etc 0- like staying in a motel. Great, welcoming staff close to the centre of town. Off street parking. I would highly recommend this place to stay.
- Bradley (10/5): Would definitely stay there again - It was good, very clean, good maintenance There was nothing I didn’t like
- Nicholas (10/5): One of Gawler's gems - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eagle Foundry B&B. We especially loved our suite's characterful decor. The fridge was full of goodies for breakfast, the bedroom was quiet, and the location was handy to the main street's shops in one direction and the Gawler swimming pool in the other. Gary was a welcoming host.
- Nerys (10/5): - The room we stayed in was adorably cozy and perfect for a couple staying away. Everything was clean and presentable. The provided breakfast items were varied for a range of tastes and the mini kitchenette was surprisingly well stocked that you could make most thing's you might want. My partner and I didn't want to leave and we'll definitely be back :) Nothing, we loved our stay

The courtyard and living space we stayed in were spacious and decorated with time period pieces. The breakfast provided was delicious and highlighted the thoughtfulness of the owners (including foods for kids and different temperaments). I enjoyed reading the history of the buildings and the photographs on display of the original owners.
- Verena (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (9/5): Superb - Unusual accommodations due to its history (old metal foundry). However, very comfortable and well appointed. Much attention to detail. Gawler is kind of out of the way to Barossa Valley, but enjoyed the accommodations.
- Sarah (10/5): A hidden gem, with old fashioned hospitality, perfect for a getaway - Well appointed room, attention to every detail, very generous breakfast provisions, port and chocolates, the personal touches makes it even better
- Jacque (10/5): - Quirky accommodation, very clean and well appointed, the provisions for the breakfast were excellent. Would recommend it.
- Kerrie (10/5): - Very quaint, quality accommodations
- Sandra (10/5): Couldn't ask for a better place to stay - We love The Eagle Foundry couldn’t fault it. The owner was lovely. We were blown away with the space and totally enjoyed playing pool in the evening. Highly recommend this property.
- Helen (4/5): No - Quiet, good breakfast food in fridge, firm bed. Shower was a problem , first shower flooded the bathroom floor, I had to have a weaker water shower flow to manage flooding.
- Phil (9/5): Superb - We are light breakfast eaters and only ate a very small proportion of the excellent range of breakfast items provided. The only issue, as mentioned in the note that we left on the table with the key, is that the drain from the shower is largely blocked somewhere and the shower base filled up and overflowed onto the floor. Also, before water overflowed from the shower base, water quickly came up through the floor drain in the bathroom . It took some time after we had finished showering for the water to drain from both the shower base and the bathroom floor, Not a negative comment about the accommodation - just a comment that some maintenance is needed asap.
