• Perla (9/5): - I like that it was right in town withnpaid parking next door and free parking nearby. Free breakfast and private rooms available. Not 100% clean but for the price there is nothing to complain about.

• Teow (10/5): Great value for money, good facilities and amazing location. - The en-suite double bedrooms were really good. Just like a normal hotel with all the amenities, its location was exceptional, super close to the city centre. Especially for the value, it’s awesome if you’re on a budget. Staff were super friendly too, I didn’t get the Argentinian lady who met us for check-in and check-out but she was really nice and even helped us store luggage before check-in and after check-out.

• Suzanne (2/5): Adequate for what we needed but will only stay again if some of the issues we faced are rectified - Location Bed was super comfortable The lady who was cleaning, who’s Meeting a couple of people who were playing pool! Rooms aren’t soundproof. It’s not disabled friendly If you’re a red wine drinker don’t go expecting one, it took a lot for us to get some, I would hope for a rail on the two states outside. If you have a heavy backpack like we did, it’s quite easy to trip

Asked for 2 single beds but had queen instead. Luckily they were not fully booked otherwise we’ll have a problem. Someone needs to look at the system. We even put it on special request which didn’t help

• George (8/5): Well-located, well-run, safe and comfortable. - Very well-organised, well-run place with a relaxed vibe that comes from having solid ground rules. Very close to the city centre, but in a quiet street. Everything worked. The bunk beds creak when the person above turns over. One of the (electrically-operated) skylights wouldn't open. This would be annoying on a hot night (even by Dunedin standards).

• Mike (7/5): Probably look elsewhere if you want to cook and store food as it’s a long way to main and very busy kitchen . However if - Great location room was very quiet . Room disconnected from main building so had to walk down an alleyway and renter main building and up stairs to communal kitchen. No facilities in the room no fridge / had to ask for a kettle but no where to even put a milk . Needs a fridge at least . Verandah unusable just so small .

No recharging points by the bed and these were timed so hard to recharge all devices. No privacy screen but I’m guessing that this is typical of NZ hostels.

• lisa (6/5): - Room was quiet and clean even considering we were there at a very busy time of the year. The only access to our room was via steep stairs. Very awkward with 3 heavy suitcases and hand luggage. Also the rubber mats that led to the rooms were not friendly to suitcase wheels. Also the fan in the bathroom was on a sensor so would turn on when you opened the bathroom door but didnt stay on once you were in the shower - bit redundant.

• Nico (6/5): Fun but restless. Not a chill hostel. - Very social hostel. It's got a bar downstairs with pool tables. Too cramped up on the kitchen & dinning room. Almost no one goes to the pool tables after dinner because a lot of people want to talk to each other without music and there is not really a big space to socialise without bar vibes. The beds shake quite a lot when someone on the top bunk moves even a bit. Some of the plugs in the dorms don't work, some are not close to your bed. A lot of youngsters (18-22) talking on their phones in the dorms hallways past midnight won't let you sleep. There is no oven at all. There is an electric, small, one that seems broken. There is no space to store ones pantry & fresh items, as all the space has been taken already. They need another fridge and to fix/expand the pantry cabinet space.

• Barbara (10/5): Good vibe, great location, quiet, and clean facilities made for a great stay! - Great location, the staff Warren excellent. My single room was bright and quiet and comfortable. The vibe was great and the free breakfast was a bonus. The three flights of stairs to the rooms seemed daunting but I managed and I am older so I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.
