- Bec (10/5): Perfectly Zen - I was initially worried about how to get the keys for our villa, but we were greeted with the friendliest man at the security point, and he directed us to the reception area. Walking into our villa, we were amazed. It was big, the garden was stunning and the pool very inviting! I especially loved the thoughtful touch of the frangipanis placed throughout the villa. The area was quiet and only a 10-minute walk to the main road and 15 to the beach. We like walking so it wasn't too far, but the humidity can be a struggle for us tourists! Breakfast was cooked in the villa each morning and it was so efficient that it did not intrude at all into our mornings. This was our first time in Sanur and villa type accommodation, so we were pleasantly surprised and very happy with our stay! Nothing

Our main ensuite bedroom was overlooking the pool and it was great. The beds were very comfy. The pool was small but it was all we needed to cool off after a day of activities. The staff were very polite, helpful and kind. The breakfast was very basic. Considering how cheap prices are it would have been nice to get something of better quality. Be aware that it's a good 10 minutes walk to the main street but we took grab taxis very often.

Kitchen sink needs a scrub and sick drainer. Entrance lock needs to be more secure. Bedroom curtains need a good wash. Arm chairs need cleaning put beach towels over them. Floors clean and bathrooms. Pool very clean. Plant some more plants.

Fresh flowers, biscuits on pillow each evening and delicious breakfast cooked each morning in the Villa was a lovely gesture. Exceptionally clean, comfortable, spacious and very lovely decorated Villa. Pool was amazing with a very comfortable daybed to relax and unwind. - Anne (10/5): Wonderful. - Wonderful friendly staff. The villa was very clean, beds were comfortable with mosquito nets. Bathrooms were lovely. Breakfast in the villa each morning was very convenient. Pool and gardens beautiful. It was a bit of walk to restaurants etc but very easy to book a car or scooter if can’t be bothered to walk. In house massage and laundry service was also very handy. Overall we loved our stay here. There were no gluten free breakfast options or milk other than dairy milk. However we were able to buy almond milk at local supermarket. Didn’t look for GF bread so can’t say if it was available nearby.

Nothing was too much trouble! The daily breakfast was a real highlight! The villa was a great size & had everything we needed, as well as being close to everything! Being able to order beers & snacks to be in our villa on arrival was great!
- Kiet (9/5): Awesome villa with everything you need for a comfortable, private stay. - The facility is absolutely beautiful and the villas are huge with everything you need including a full kitchen. The private pool and spa makes for a great base, especially if you're going to be staying for a while since it feels more like a home then a hotel. The morning breakfast is prepared by the staff at your personal villa. The staff is super friendly. The owner/manager Trish was extremely helpful when Sanur had flooding and the Villas flooded. She made sure everyone was accomodated with new places to stay and kept in touch as to when the villa was ready again. Everything would have been perfect except for mother nature, who decided that it was best to bring torrential rain during our visit and flood out the villa. The location is on the lower height side, so it's more prone to flooding than other places. Be aware when planning during the rainy season. The streets to get to the villa are narrow and usually only 1 car can go through at a time. I don't suggest driving your own car to this location. There are not a ton of shops and stores that are right outside the stay like some other more touristy places, but there is a convenience store within walking distance.

- Genine123 (10/5): Fabulous - Everything was amazing! Staff couldn't do enough for you. The villa was spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool is a lovely size, kids loved it. Set in beautiful gardens and close walk to the main road of shops and restaurants with the beach a few mins further. We loved the walk to the Icon Bali shopping mall along the beach. So pretty. We hired the bikes and cycled in the other direction, stopping at a few hotels and bars along the way.

The gardens are absolutely beautiful but no solid walls between villas. We had no neighbors when we stayed so not a problem for us, but you can see through the garden into your neighbors villa.

Our vila was immaculate, the grounds and pool so clean, the staff lovely and helpful and it’s all the little things that make Zen such an amazing place to stay. We will definitely be back for a third visit! Nothing at all to fault.
- Susannah (9/5): Beautiful, zen holiday - Staff were so lovely and accommodating. They helped arrange airport transfer, massage/spa staff at the villa and even a birthday cake. The pool was so amazing! Very quiet location, surrounded by nature but an easy walk into town and the beach. Everything was lovely but to take it to the next level, the property facilities could be improved. Eg hairdryer, ironing board, bottle opener weren’t present. There was no mini fridge/toilet downstairs.
- Katrina (10/5): Wonderful place to stay for our family of 4 - The villa itself was well appointed and clean. The master bedroom only had an outdoor shower and toilet which was used less than the indoor bathroom on the second bedroom - mainly due to not letting in mosquitoes. But both were well looked after and modern. In our villa there was an extra toilet off the kitchen also. Breakfasts were excellent and cooked in the room at your appointed time. Bedrooms were clean. Pool was wonderful and warm. Turn down service was a nice touch. Had our own cold filtered water machine so could fill water bottles with cold water whenever we wanted. Nice and quiet even with other families next door. 24 hour security at the driveway. Only a 5 min walk to the main street of Sanur which had a number of restaurants and shops. Only a NZ$4 gojek to Icon Mall for dinner. Nothing. Was more than happy with our stay here. Even with the front desk only being manned till 4pm, this was rarely the case.

Great communication on booking and airport pick up etc. Breakfast was cooked in the Villa each, the pool was private, the beds comfortable and a lovely rain shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. As it’s set back 5 mins from the main road - it was so quiet and the 24 hour security made everything feel safe. Never had such a relaxing stay. I will return again and highly recommend. I’ve seen some comments about the distance to the road - but it’s 5 mins and the staff give you very clear directions the first time never had an issue.

- michelle (9/5): very comfortable - We were a mixed family and travelling with elderly people with mobility issues. We had stayed in several villas over a few weeks and Zen Villa was our favourite in regards to the service and accomodation. It is a little older and not so modern but they were very well equipped and had considered a lot in regards to what their customers might need. The kitchen facilities were terrific, comfortable beds, pool lovely and clean and our villa had a jacuzzi which was a great feature. We got food by grab and they cooked a delicious breakfast in the room. Comfortable large lounge room and good dining seating outside. The staff were very helpful and great to have security at the front. My only dislike was that for us, it was just a little far for walking to things but that was due to our mobility issues. Grab or taxi was only a few dollars to nearest salons and restaurants.

Staff so lovely and happy to help with anything . It goes a long way to enjoying our stay. 😊 I will be very picky but it is meant to help . No freestanding full mirror for ladies to use while dressing. Both ladies with us complained to us. The water in the hose next to the toilet smells very bad in both rooms. The exhaust fan in main bedroom does not work. Bath towels need to be replaced daily . Perhaps a basket for used towels can be placed in the bathroom. Sometimes used towels placed in a pile to be removed , were left there by cleaning staff, no fresh towels left by staff. Not enough hooks to hang bath towels so they can dry after a shower.

They cook and serve breakfast in the villa and it was always delicious. It is about 5/10 mins walk to the main road and beach, but can easily call a taxi to come pick you up.

- Dale (9/5): Very relaxing - Wife and I stayed for 7 nights - private pool was wonderful, got a good mix of direct sun and shade, outside cabana offered good shade too. The actual villa was very comfortable, with the air conditioning and fans working a treat. Breakfast was nice, provided by a range of about 7 different choices (selected the day before), which was freshly cooked in your villa at your nominated time preference. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed during the Sept Bali flood, yes the villa grounds got flooded (like very else), but the staff got our private pool clean and swimable a bit over a day after the rains stopped- which was a great effort. Good WIFI. Staff organised on site massages in our villa. Location, about a 15 minute walk (via some back streets) to the beach and 10 to the “main shops. About a 25 minute walk, to $3-4 AUD GRAB ride to the Bali Icon Mall. A few local warungs were 5-10 minutes walk away

Despite being stuck inside all day it was still a lovely experience because of the villa and their staff. Being in the middle of a city area it still felt like an oasis.

It had the wow factor in many ways - beautiful planting and grounds, so much indoor space (not that we used it much as preferred to be outside), the beds were incredibly comfy and large, such a treat having delicious breakfasts cooked each morning, immaculately clean, pristine and beautiful private pool, very diligent mosquito prevention processes (weekly site fogging etc - I didn’t see a mosquito the whole time we were there and we had no bites), drinking water dispenser, turndown service and daily cleaning…. It really does feel five star +. Most importantly, the staff from reception, to cooking, cleaning, pool cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, and drivers…. They all without exception are rays of sunshine. Thank you so much for a magical holiday - we will return and be recommending to all our friends and family. There is nothing I can think of.

We had been travelling around through different regions in Bali for 3 weeks and decided to stay at the Zen Villas for the last 5 nights. What an absolute treat! My family have never stayed in such a luxurious accommodation before and were blown away by the beautiful property, its setting and facilities, the warmth of the people and the level of service. A fantastic end to a fabulous holiday 😊 Everything was fabulous!

Our villa was spotlessly cleaned every day by the friendly staff. Pool cleaned and checked every day, our Private garden cleaned daily, we even had our own fish pond with coy in and a huge friendly lizard (Beerwa) that came for a cool down in the pond. What a fantastic peaceful place...definitely Zen. Thank you staff for looking after us and making our stay so memorable and relaxing.

- Babett (10/5): Amazing private villa-experience, amazing outdoor bathrooms and pools. - Zen Villas Sanur is an amazing villa park with fully separated villas (houses) equipped with own pools, amazing outdoor and indoor bathrooms, beautiful gardens. The villa park has an own reception desk with full customer support. It was a unique experience, that breakfast is solved in a way mixing the "service" with the private villa-concept: guests can choose breakfast from a menu (all kinds of breakfasts available: e.g. toast, different eggs, granola/müzli, sweet selection) and based on the pre-ordered choice and indicated time, a nice lady arrives to your villa, who literally prepares the requested breakfast in your villa's kitchen. :-) They prepare the table and leave. (After breakfast cleaning is also part of the "room service"). The villas are beautiful. Location is in narrow streets of Sanur, but beach is app. 15 minute walk, within 10 minute walk restaurants, massage slots, shops are reachable. With regards to the Villa everything was perfect. Sanur as the destination was however very busy from traffic point of view. Taking tours from here always required patience, as traffic jams can be crazy around this area. We could reach Ubud and other key destinations, but everything required min. 2 hours drive (due to traffic) :-( So Sanur can be a perfect spot for "villa-stay" and day-tours with boat towards island Nusa Penida / Lembongan, but for further tours on Bali-land, "star tour" type of tours is difficult due to traffic. (It is wiser to stay 2-3 nights on one spot, travel further and stay there again another 2-3 nights etc.)
