- Julie (7/5): Better options to stay around here, would no recommend. - Location Friendly staff Great breakfast From 8 am everyday the lounge pool chairs were taken & had towels on them reserving them for the day even though guests were not there or gone for the day. Hotel does not monitor towels & its unfair for guests who don’t access pool early. Late afternoons it was hard to access beach front pool as guests were drinking around bar at pool many intoxicated. Not a friendly environment to be in. The bedding always felt damp as it was not cotton sheeting, doona etc.

- Jacqui (10/5): Like coming home - I have been staying at the Puri Raja for decades. During that time there have been some changes but what remains constant is their excellent service. Gardeners, pool attendants, restaurant staff, cleaners, receptionists...all of the Puri Raja staff greet you with a smile and ready offer of assistance. They are, at all times, friendly, helpful and patient. Combine this with the beautiful central pathway, lined with a canopy of exquisite tropical foliage, the clean and well provided rooms and the beachfront breakfast views, and you have affordable perfection. I have stayed in many designer villas and other hotels that boast more stars and facilities but the Puri Raja is always like coming home for me. It is a charming traditional Balinese jewel in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Legian.

They were very quick to respond to amy issues. Unfortunately we had issues with maintenance from day one. Our toilet broke, our door lock broke and we had constant issues with the TV, wifi and power. I would have also liked more variety for breakfast.

Many people staying appeared to be regulars and were welcomed like family. Perfect location. Walking distance to everything with access to shopping, bars restaurants, salons and mini marts on one side and direct access to the beach on the other. Great breakfast, à la carte, all you can eat, so you can sit back and enjoy your coffee and wait for the food to come to you whilst looking out over the beach. The grounds are full of lush greenery with two pools, one with a great swim up bar. Rooms were clean, really comfortable beds and a great shower in the spacious bathroom. I really loved it here. It’s not super modern but it’s full of charm and I feel very relaxed after such a wonderful few days stay. There was nothing I disliked

As I was travelling solo it was a lovely place to be base. I will stay here again. This is really minor - but I would've liked a smart TV so I could log into my own streaming accounts at the end of a long hot day to unwind.

Good atmosphere and excellent location (quiet but still in the middle of citylife and close to the beach), friendly personnel, comfortable rooms, pleasant service in restaurant and beauty salon. It exceeded our expectations. It would be better to ignore transfer service and advices offered by hotel's official taxi driver (Wayan?). There were some dangerous moments in traffic and he wanted to sell us "cheaper" Waterbom tickets with the original prices. After that we didn't trust this driver anymore. But overall it wasn't big deal, because Puri Raja offered us high level quality and services.
