Mrs Rebecca (8/5): - Great facility’s and location. Our backpacker room was well set up but could have done with a better standard of cleaning as the floor was a bit mucky and there was a lot of dust however the beds where good and the set up of the beds, power points ect where great! Great value!

Thai (10/5): Great accomodation in Opotiki by the beach - We travelled from Auckland to ride the Motu trails loop, Jess really looked after us arranging 2 great cabins and sorting out an easy check-in process for us so we could arrive late after a long drive. Cabins were warm, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom facilities were very clean. We will be coming back for a longer stay next time! Cheers

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Our kids had heaps to keep themselves entertained. The atmosphere was friendly and fun. Would highly recommend and will be going back again soon.
Zane (8/5): - What a great place so close to the beach - rooms are clean and have everything you'll want love the bar-b-que area and so quite. Highly recommend to either a couple for a weekend get away or a good family holiday spot. Either way if your looking for a nice spot to get away from everything for a while this is the place to go.
Ra (10/5): Awesome location & clean comfortable units - I LOVED staying here - even on a wet and stormy weekend! I was fortunate enough to have my booking upgraded by the generous staff, and so I stayed in a tourist flat which was fully self contained, clean and comfy. A peaceful, well laid out, and affordable holiday park, I would definitely stay again - next time hopefully it's sunny so I can utilise the free swimming pool and kayaks! Highly recommend this camping ground to all!

Robyn (10/5): Enjoyable stay - This would be a great place for a family holiday. Location is close to the beach with a short drive into town if needed. We only stayed for a night but were warmly welcomed and encouraged to make use of the amenities such as the barbecue if we wished too. And although the office was officially closed by the time we arrived we were still told to ring the bell if we needed anything such as tea-bags, coffee, milk, etc. It was a little bit pricey compared to other places we stayed in over our 19 days in New Zealand, but I would still stay there again. We were in a 2nd storey unit with a lovely view of the beach.

Beautiful views and beaches with nice clean rooms! You cant go wrong with island view holiday park and we hope to back as soon as possible! new years in Opatiki!!!

Verified traveler (4/5): - The advert was for a cabin with a private deck. My understanding of a cabin, is a free standing building, allowing privacy etc. The ad also claimed there would be bedding. I was put into a room with four bunks (which may have been advertised), and no bedding. It was an inward facing room to a courtyard, where migrant workers were accommodated and hanging out, of course, this is not a problem, if you have forewarning of what to expect. Needless to say, my expectations were a fraction higher.

Brendan (6/5): Not Hotel Room - Tourist Cabin standard only - Property was well maintained. Room is very basic but had Air Con on the very hot day & night we stayed. Bathrooms/Showers located neaby ( Holiday Camp Shared bathroom for all guests) Sport & Kayak equipment at no charge. Sea right out front. Has all the basics including Free BBQ area etc.
Verified traveler (6/5): 50/50 - Nice beachfront location only a short drive into Opotiki. The tourist flat we stayed on was clean and comfortable with a view of the ocean. A bit weird, they give you wrist bands to wear when you arrive to show you are staying there. It is for security reasons so they know who should and shouldn't be at the campground, but I still found it odd and removed mine to sleep.
