- RoadTrip101 (7/5): Comfortable and clean motel in Parkes - Although now probably an older motel it was an okay place to stay overnight on an interstate road trip. The room was more spacious than other motels I have booked and it also had a roomy bathroom with an over the bath shower rose. The bath was a spa-bath and because of its size did not have a shower screen or curtain. I'm not sure if the spa facility was operational. There were the usual tea/coffee making facilities and a toaster. I can't recall if there was a microwave oven. The bed was comfortable and there was a place set aside for a large suitcase to be accessible when using the room. The air conditioner worked satisfactorily. The is a restaurant on site. This motel was located on the main road [not the Newell Highway by-pass] heading towards Dubbo on the edge of Parkes and was therefore some distance from the CBD. Probably need to use the car to obtain food etc. The car-park area was a bit cramped and extra care was needed to maneuver into the designated parking bay. This tight parking in the car-park space is contributed to by an in-ground swimming pool located in the centre of the car-park area. The car-parking in front of the respective units is not under cover. Regarding the shower facility, it was necessary to step over the raised edge of the spa bath and some may find this difficult to do. The absence of a shower screen allowed some spray to fall on the floor and so again special care is necessary when stepping out of the tub. I kept the floor-mat a short distance away from the tub to avoid it becoming wet from the shower over-spray.
- Trevor (9/5): A good value mid-range motel. - The room was quiet, spacious and well appointed. There was a comfortable couch as well as a dining table and chairs. The bathroom could do with modernising. The view from the window of the carport wasn't exciting. It was a bit removed from the town.
- schwaibold (9/5): Welcoming - We loved the friendly welcome and the pool. We also liked having a restaurant with roomservice on site. The towles and sheets were clean .Would stay there again. Nice big room.
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Lechelle (7/5): Good value for a night in Parkes. - Very comfy queen size bed. Good airconditioning. Bathroom clean - the shower was over a spa (not sure if it was still working) which was fine for us although would not suit everyone and to be fair we were asked if that was OK at check in. The room got the hot afternoon sun from the carpark side but the block out curtains and air con worked well. Simple and basic but all we needed on the way through the area. Paper plates and bamboo cutlery. Better than nothing but personally not a fan.
- Samantha (8/5): - Pool was great after a 17hr drive bed was comfy and rooms were clean A bit cramped for 4 people but otherwise okay
- Dahna (9/5): -
- Paul (7/5): Clean, good value and comfortable - Large room Aircon faulty
- Kaine (10/5): - The shower needs new shower head other than that beautiful
- vicki (2/5): - It stunk. I put the AC on and opened the door.
No bed for my daughter!!
Everything was too outdated.
Felt dirty and grimey, so we were not going to use the pool.
Very disappointed. Actually left 2am
Will never stay there again
- Jeremy (7/5): Peaceful & private - Property was quiet we had a good view of the new years fireworks from the room the best thing I found was you can’t see any cars or people from anybody going past so it’s very private Manager telling us to go to bed at 11pm on NYE we had no music playing just having a chat outside and a quiet drink no body was loud even the kids were playing quietly. The manager isn’t Australian & doesn’t understand our culture
- Mary-Jane (6/5): -
- Aaron (9/5): -
- Kylie (8/5): -
- Samantha (8/5): Clean, tidy, easy to find - It was clean, tidy, and easy to find, the TV had Netflix and YouTube! So good, even the pool was nice for being in the middle of the carpark Nothing really.
- Robert (10/5): - The pool The kids giving me a hard time.
- Kelepi (10/5): - Room was clean Nothing at all
Room was Excellent 👍
- LancsBoy (5/5): - Nothing Conditions of the stay

- Le Breton (10/5): -
- Matthew (9/5): - Fantastic and really comfortable bed. Also up to date room appliances plus modern quiet AC, which was really helpful on the 40 degree day we visited.
- John (9/5): - Great value. Very welcoming. Thank you!
- Colleen (2/5): I would not stay at this place again not worth $1 - Not much
Very old and needed lots of repairs and care Light was broken in bathroom and the dirt around the skirts boards
Carpet had holes in it with a dirt rubber mat over it
Lounge had holes in it and you felt like you where sitting on floor.
Paper plates and wooden cutlery to use.
- Abby (8/5): I would go there again - Good location, comfortable bed, cozy room Small car park
- Stevewr (7/5): - Friendly staff onarrival
- Andy Doyle (8/5): -
- Max (4/5): - Power points right next to bed, built into bedside table. The beds were softer than expected but they were comfortable. They have wooden bed heads built onto the wall that are unnecessary, in my opinion. I managed to hit my neck and head on it a few times. It also makes it hard to sit up and lean back while in bed.
Wooden cutlery with disposable plates and bowls and not enough of them.
The height between the tap and the basin is not sufficient to fit a bottle or the kettle.
The pillows weren't great. On the double bed, only two out of four were nice soft plump pillows.
P.S.
There were no biscuits when I arrived. This is a minor point, but I always like to compare the biscuits at different motels. You can tell a lot by the biscuit choice, or so I like to think.
- Chris (8/5): -
- raylene (8/5): - It was close to shops Nil
- Roslyn (9/5): Short stopover and found the motel great. - Dining room very comfy and the menu had a great range. The meals were amazing, the barramundi and steak cooked to perfection. Room also comfy and parking away from the road. Nothing.
- Murial (8/5): - Good sized room, comfortable and warm.
- John (7/5): -
- Templeton (10/5): - Location beside parkland areas
- anna (9/5): -
- Debra (6/5): -
- Emma (7/5): Affordable and easy - This motel isn't anything fancy but if you want an affordable, comfortable and easy location for a night after a long drive, this is perfectly fine. Staff were friendly. Close to town for restaurants. Nice and quiet. It's an old motel - could probably do with some TLC in places.
- Robert (7/5): -
- Racquel (8/5): -
- Colin (8/5): -
- Agnes (9/5): -
- Swire (2/5): - The place was nice Tissue paper walls
- Lynne (5/5): passable - The motel is old and needs a little up grading. The freezer needed defrosting. choice of coffee was the lowest. Not even a biscuit to have with a cuppa. Certainly much lower standard than others I stayed at for same cost. When contacted earlier about needing access to room earlier than 2pm, did not even have a courtesy of a reply
- Gordon (8/5): -
- Janelle (5/5): ok for the money and 1 night stay passing through - it was ok for the money paid clean tidy we were in a room right at the entrance near the owners carport where they park and it was no quiet and we could not open the blinds as people would have seen us in our room
- Carol (7/5): - Quite
- Leanne (10/5): - Easy to check in and out. Friendly staff. Room was clean. Good value for money paid
- Peter (10/5): very comfortable bed - nice quiet location nothing

- Anne (8/5): Relaxing and peaceful. - Friendly staff and great and spacious room. Wish the pool was heated!
- Peter (8/5): -
- Mewan (5/5): Felt like the management is cost cutting. No water bottles in the room. The shower curtain was old. - The beds were comfortable. The toilet.
- Keerththan (8/5): Great stay! - Staff were excellent. Food was very nice and affordable. Great location! Hoyel room was clean, tidy and comfortable! Swimming pool was not very clean.. It has lots of visible soil in surface underneath..
- Christine (8/5): - Great staff, excellent meal in the restaurant. No complaints, it suited our needs for an overnight stay.
- Craig (5/5): -
- Ferguson (1/5): Very dirty, cockroaches are a sure sign, would not stay again - bed was okay Black Mould around bathroom windows, evening found a cockroach running along the wall, found another one in the morning running from under the bed.
- Dibby99 (8/5): - Out of the city centre, quite, cosy, great overnight stay. Nil
- Simon (8/5): Enjoyable, relaxed stay - Comfortable, well equipped, plenty of lighting, clean, spacious. Quiet, no traffic noise. Friendly staff. Microwave could have worked better, auto setting didnt seem to work.
- Harry (10/5): - Large clean room. Comfy sofa and bed. Large shower. Friendly staff.
- Alex (5/5): - Decent location, just outside of main town. Still walkable.
Comfortable bed, basic kitchenette. Very friendly staff. Despite being no-smoking rooms, there seemed to be a longstanding cigarette smell within our room. It smelt a bit like an old pub. Some new carpet, curtains and a new couch and the room would be vastly improved.
- Robert (9/5): -
- Andrea (9/5): -
