Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (4/5): - you get what you pay for, it’s cheap and rundown, but adequate for a nights sleep.
- David (8/5): - Be careful between Mt. Albert Lodge and Mt Albert Inn. Taxi from Airport took us to wrong Hotel.
Bathroon very very very small no-where to put or hang anything
- Stewart (8/5): What we needed. - The Motel was clean and tidy, although dated. The Manager was very pleasant and we enjoyed our time there, just 5 minutes down the road from the event we were attending. It met all we needed, a place to rest and relax. The area is in the middle of a very busy shopping centre yet quiet and comfortable..
- Verified traveler (6/5): It was alright and was handy to what was doing. . - It was alright and was handy to what i was doing.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - was good new world was close by good greenery around
- lauris (4/5): - Very shabby with cobwebs in lounge and bathroom had to ask for towels one day and toilet paper fridge was rusty along the chrome band on the door and didn't make the beds up until I complained then everything got done shame though is in great location but quite rundown
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never again - Nice and friendly people, but room decore and furniture dated, some furniture not necessary and just took up space, interior in bad need of repair and maintenance, peeling paint, insecure windows and louvres, Convenient location but not an enjoyable stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Room smelled - what a dump - Room smelled - carpet badly marked. Furniture was junk.
Over priced for such a poor standard
- Peter (2/5): Old and worn out - The motel has seen better days and is old and worn out. poor facilities, noisy, cramped, cold and generally out dated fixtures
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very friendly and efficient service - We arrived around 7 or 8 pm and Sean was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. Sadly the beds were quite uncomfortable as I think the mattresses could be replaced. We didn't sleep very well. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Tired but clean - A visually unappealing hotel and probably a bit disappointing for the money. A room at the Quest is only $40 more. Old and tired and the pool and spa were locked up.
- Ives (6/5): Reasonable value for money - The hotel was conveniently located, it was quiet, and represented reasonable value for the price.
The manager was very helpful and accommodating of a request for a ground floor room to assist my mother who was not able to negotiate stairs to access a first floor room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Close to shops - The man at reception was nice but motel is very run down. Not very clean, hair in ice tray and bathroom not nice at all. Also there was a large ginkgo tree right outside that smelt like vomit.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Okay stay - It was great to be close to family. There was one night where one of the guests made an awful racket for ages making it hard to sleep.
- sheza (2/5): Appalling - I took a look in the room and didn't stay, the room was tiny, dated and smelt musty. Pretty seedy feeling there.
- Gerry (6/5): Old and in need of renovating. - The location for us was excellent. Management friendly. Beds very good. Bathroom needs major rebuild (looks tired!). But kitchen had everything there, not just electric jug! Very reasonable price.
- David (4/5): Old run down looking motel - I was disappointed in my stay. The Motel felt like a small run down apartment complex with bad neighbours.
This was not a $120 per night motel. I wouldn't have stayed there even if it was $80.
- charlotte (6/5): Dated, seriously dated. - Old, old hotel. I would only recommend if you were out of other options. Staff was so sweetand the bed nice, but the place was so run down.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room tidy but decor old. Could not spin the cat in the bathroom!
- Verified traveler (4/5): lied about having downstairs accommodation, - After twice assuring us by phone that we would have ground floor accommodation with parking at close proximity, we arrived to find we had an upstairs room and had to carry our suit cases also, my husband has a knee disability, we were asked to pay before he gave me the key, very rude and fancies himself, he lied on the phone to get our business, the same thing happened to my elderly sister, and my elderly brother, both guaranteed ground floor rooms, we all verbally expressed our dissatisfaction. We arrived from Whanganui area at around 1pm to attend a birthday at 2.30pm, otherwise we may have sleeked other accommodation.
This practice is not good for your industry. And as regular clients We expect some return correspondence and some compensation for this insulting treatment.

- Jessi (8/5): Functional and Comfortable - I stayed for two weeks while doing work placement at local clinics. The room was always clean and tidy when I got back in the evenings. It is a relatively quiet side of town which made it easy to catch up on study. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm (I was there in winter). Nothing leaked and everything was in good repair. There is a small kitchenette if you want to cook for yourself, but is also close enough to multiple takeaway places and restaurants to be unnecessary. Conveniently located near the mall and the motorway. Definitely worth the sticker price.
- Lizzie (8/5): Affordable Hotel in Mount Albert - This is a good low cost hotel. The rooms are a bit old and tired looking, but everything is very clean. The rooms have a fridge, microwave and cooking supplies. The hotel has an outdoor pool. The location is very good, and right on the bus line. The rooms could be a bit more comfortable if there was air-con, but other than that were fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful!
- Uday (4/5): Below average motel - We stayed last weekend. The room was cramped and so was the bathroom. Motel needs a serious revamp though it is in a nice neighbourhood. On the day of checkout we were told to checkout at 10am though the time written was 10.30am. Upon asking the owner he said that there was a mistake and he needs to put it as 10am checkout.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Basic accommodation - Very basic accommodation ... Place is old ... fittings rusted ... paint peeling. No WiFi, small tv. Price for this standard should be under $100.
- Verified traveler (2/5): This hotel should be removed from your database - Dirty no hot water disgusting receptionist who was in their panama a at 4 pm
- Md Rajibul (6/5): Our stay in Auckland - Not too bad. Motel staff were really friendly. Rooms need to be refurbished again but I am not too fussy about the condition. Not too much noise from the other rooms or street but the windows did make noise in the night when there was wind. Huge plus point for us was the hot plate in the room which other motel/lodge wasn't providing us. All in all, not too bad for our stay and did the job we were hoping for.
- Lynn (4/5): One night enough - This Motel needs to be updated immediately. The bathroom basin was scratched and rusty, pillows are old and not enough for two per person. Hot water was very limited in our unit. Not a place that I would return to or recommend.
- Simon (2/5): Terribly neglected motel. - Extremely disappointing. We had three units for a family gathering. Very very disappointing for the price paid.
- Helen (6/5): Cheap comfortable motel - Enjoyed our stay here despite room being in serious need of renovating. Bathroom small, shower dribbly but lovely bed and good heater.
- Pete (2/5): They didnt have us booked in?? - Hard to find entrance. 3 of us booked in not enough towels. Asked for a pull-out bed. Didnt have one when it said they did? Had all the doors open when it was a cold night. Reception didnt answer. No-one there?
