Christine (9/5): A motel with a great location and a fantastic restaurant. - The restaurant was wonderful. We tried nearly everything on the menu and every dish was fabulous. Having direct access to the historic site was so handy. The room was comfortable and clean. The parking was limited and difficult to navigate with high walls and plants on each side.

Gabie (6/5): Close to Port Arthur’s Historical site with a Bar and Restaurant on site - The Motel was close to Port Arthur Historical site and had a Restaurant on site. We ate in both the Restaurant and the Bar. The bar meals offered a good range at a reduced rate. The bed was comfortable. The facilities in the room were older and in need of some maintenance. The toilet seat was broken and the shower taps fell off. The hot water was slow and wasted lots of water before it was hot enough to use. There was a toaster and microwave but Unfortunately no wine glasses, tea towel or sponge was supplied and our dishes weren’t washed at the daily service.

msfono (8/5): Simple little place with its own character. - Small motel with its own character, right next door to the historic site, we could see the view from our room balcony. The motel was dated and small but so clean and comfortable. There was a parking onsite right in front of a room. It’s surrounded by nature we had a peaceful night sleep. Restaurant served delicious foods. I was very impressed with the foods. We sat on table 1, looking out to the historic site. Overall I was so happy with this place, value for money and enjoy the scenery and good foods.

Restaurant for dinner and buffet breakfast on grounds is great and food was amazing. Parking near to rooms is squishy and not enough space when there is many people on groups on multiple cars.

The whole Complex is sadly showing its age. I stayed here some 50 years ago and it was great then. Unfortunately the verandahs and gardens badly need maintenance work done to them.

Thanks for a great stay. - Great location, good bathroom, adequate storage, iron and ironing board, nice view from our room, good restaurant, great to have laundry facilities. Handy to be able to access Port Arthur site via the gate as residents. Unfortunately we didn't have a car and had to pull our suitcase along the road to the bus stop.
Tamara (9/5): - We really like this Motor Inn. Excellent location. Easily accessible. Small and cosy rooms. Restaurant on site if you require meals. Parking right at your door. Sadly, the running water. I dont know why, but it smelt foul and mouldy. As if the pipes or storage tanks needed cleaning. So that was a huge turn off. Drinking water was supplied in the fridge, so we used that to put in the kettle and boil for a cuppa, but to clean your teeth and shower, the smell of it was very off putting. Finally, personal preference of course, but we found the pillows extremely hard.

Completely overlooking and within the grounds of the Port Arthur Historical site. Cute clean rooms. Friendly reception and walk right into the Port Arthur site The meals were over priced, the bar staff and restaurant staff were very friendly but also very overwhelmed, the food was very average.

The room was clean and the location was excellent, making it easy to explore the area, and overall it felt like good value for money. While the comfort and bed could have been a bit better, the restaurant was enjoyable and added to the experience. The view from the room was lovely and made the stay even more relaxing. stevedT618DX (8/5): Fine Base of Operations for Exploring Port Arthur - Stayed here during our tour of Tasmania, and this hotel has a lot to recommend it. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel grounds back directly on to the Port Arthur historical site. Parking is not an issue, and there was little - if any - noise. The attached restaurant serves excellent dinners, excellent wines, and excellent breakfasts.
