• Sarah (5/5): - Was easy to get to People hair in the shower and my daughter burnt her arms because the shower kept going hot and cold and mind you to even shower was a joke the water hardly came out it is dangerous for people with kids to shower in a shower that water temp changes due to other people using the hot water in different units there was no milk for coffee and we couldn’t enjoy our free breakfast because we couldn’t get in till 8 and we needed to leave earlier… blood marks on the walls and toothpaste on the mirror our room smelt like cigarettes too lovely for the kiddos
• Lee (2/5): I would prefer to sleep in my car next time. - Can’t think of anything to be honest. The mattress had massive indentations in it like a walrus had been laying on it for years. It was very hard and I could feel the springs with my chest when laying down. Whenever I rolled over to try and get comfortable I could hear the springs make a noise. The bed was also on wheels, so it moved twice when sitting down, nearly resulting in falling off. The top bed cover looked like it was 50 years old and smelt like it hadn’t been cleaned in the same time. The toilet was literally up against a wall so my left side was against the wall, therefore had to sit diagonally on it which was not comfortable at all, then having to manoeuvre myself to get toilet paper then actually wipe myself was not fun. The shower pressure was no more than a dribble. The pressure was absolutely terrible, and it took minutes to find a balance between scolding hot and too cold. There was dirt and rubbish behind the bed (we know because the bed slid out twice) There were cigarette butts everywhere outside on the walkways and staircase which I find absolutely repulsive. It looked like the stairs and walkways hadn’t been cleaned in years. The hole place just looked dirty and uncared for, including the gardens (if you could actually call them that) and grass. I felt like I needed a shower in the morning when I woke up just to get that dirty feeling off me. I was genuinely concerned about having bed bugs all over me. The main window had one of those blockout roller blinds but no curtains, so if we wanted the blind up for some sunlight we couldn’t because anyone walking past could see straight in and see us which was a very uncomfortable feeling.

The toilet door did not slide so it was a good thing I was there with my husband of 40 years as we had to use the toilet with the door wide open

• Alison (5/5): Great for a stop with a pet, but a little more attention needed on cleaning. - Wonderful staff who were so helpful and friendly. Accomodation allow pets. The light outside shone in all night, the mattress liner was soiled, floor was dirty and I couldn’t get either tv to work. Fridge needs to be defrosted, I moved stuff back to the car as it was colder.

The staff were very helpful with facilitating this and had the heat going in the room on our arrival which made it very pleasant. Toiletries provided were good. Great that a continental breakfast was provided Cheap alternative cereals were provided and limited variety. No milk in the room to make a hot drink on waking in the morning - I'm the type of person that looks for that cup of strong white tea to help me wake in the mornings

They even had an option for gluten free We arrived after dark and there was no light in the stairwell. Carrying a suitcase up a dark stairwell to our second floor room was not safe. The rooms appear to have had a refresh but the mattress hadn't been part of the update, it sagged in the middle. The shower cubicle was small and the grout needed a scrub.

Our double room was clean, AC worked and comfy. Nothing special and they don't state that they are. Breakfast was very average no decent coffee machine or pod machine. DO NOT PAY EXTRA FOR BREAKFAST NOT WORTH IT

We both get so excited to see the lovely lady at reception & we catch up after seeing her the year before. The Room and all facilities are exceptional for being a motel and I don't say that with any ill intent! motel name but hotel quality.

Gave us an alternative room with no problem and a new kettle as ours was not working. It was a good price and OK. Although bedding was clean, mattress was not great. Breakfast was supposed to be continental was typical English - cereal with tinned fruit and toast and spreads. OK but but not what was advertised.

I checked in , took one look at it and decided to check out. I didn’t feel safe there. The table outside had an overflowing ash tray, the door lock was so flimsy and there were loads of rough looking guys smoking very close to my room. It was horrendous , the room smelt so damp and old , couldn’t even stay there . What a complete waste of money .
