I arrived at midnight, it was very dark with no lights left on to help see where I was entering the unit. The smell was really bad inside the unit. And look like it needed a really good clean.

When I said to person I was driving to get there she was a dick about her response that I wouldnt be driving that far and could call back. I said it was my job... Later she said I could call by 7pm to confirm my booking and arrival. I rang before 6pm and she said my booking was cancelled. I wont be recommending them Attitude and no response. Cancelling my booking with no notice

• Pat (7/5): Good. Appropriate for our needs - Beds very comfortable The lighting over the sink was not working. There was no kitchen sink plug. Someone had left frozen chips in the fridge freezer. The door to the fridge show be changed to open the other way this is easy to do.
• Bhupinder (10/5): - I have been staying here for a long time, and most of my friends also choose to stay here whenever they come to Wellington. The parking here is very spacious and convenient. Also, the girl working at the reception has a very pleasant attitude and speaks in a very polite and professional manner

• Dave (3/5): - Firstly, there has been no hot water available since yesterday, which has caused significant inconvenience. Secondly, the overall cleanliness of the unit upon arrival was below an acceptable standard. Additionally, despite clearly requesting not to be disturbed over the weekend, this request was not respected. These concerns have made the stay uncomfortable and not in line with the standard of service expected. As a result, I believe a full refund is justified due to the poor service and failure to meet basic accommodation requirements.

Our bedside lamp wasnt working and nor was the light over the mirror in the bathroom. The wardrobe was just a cupboard with no rail to hang clothes. It was not insulated - so much condensation. The whole place needed TLC. We left a day early.

• Vicki (5/5): Budget stay - The unit was budget, was a place to spend the weekend. Awesome shower. Needs some TLC to improve the unit. There was NO Hairdryer (requested one from staff, didn't supply), no facecloth or dishcloth, (asked cleaning staff, said they don't supply these.) Nowhere to hand your clothes, had to live out of suitcase for the weekend. Light fitting was flickering. No onsite management, or card to complete for improvements. Only cooking facility was a microwave & kettle.

• Julie (7/5): A gud night at the settlers. - The 1st staff lady that literally helped us was awsum, ty. The motel was worth the money. The place was clean. The utilities were good. Having to walk to another motel for the key. Paying with after pay that charges a bigger then usual amount. The unfriendly other staff. A smile goes a long way. The no fresh towels the next day. The no staff around to ask questions. Couldn't watch anything decent on TV , without having to pay more for it.
• Peter (4/5): Nicht berauschend! - Die Lage mit der Nähe zur Metlink-Station und zum Kern von Petone war ideal. Das Studio glich einer am Zerfall nagenden Barracke. Die Ausstattung war schlecht. Was nützt ein Schrank mit einer Kleiderstange aber ohne Kleiderbügel? Für drei Tage war der Aufenthalt grenzwertig. Die Sauberkeit lies sehr zu wünschen übrig (Flecken auf Sofa, Stühlen und Teppich. Tassen nicht sauber abgewaschen etc.)
• Scott (2/5): Felt very dirty and uneasy staying there - Very old and run down, cupboard doors falling off, leaking shower doors and very bad stains on the carpet. When you go to check in - there is no one at the property but a sign on the old office saying you have to walk 130m up to the next block and around the corner to another motel they run to collect the key, I will never stay here again and do not recommend you keep them on your site as you will just start getting bad reviews and it will lower your company image How old and run down it is

• Astrid (9/5): Wonderful Stay - The motel was wonderful, met our needs, bed was SUPER comfy and it was warm. We loved the older retro shower. The unit we stayed in was a little tired. Needing replastering possibly but it was still fine.

My husband and I bought a bottle of wine but found there was only one wine glass, one tumbler and one tall glass. There was no face cloths or bath mat. Just felt basic needs were not met.

• Josh (7/5): Good, for the price - Cost effective - one of the cheaper motels around, and while you get what you pay for, it is more than adequate for the price WiFi in my room was too weak to connect to, and the room I was in did not have SKY TV, but it was warm and clean.

• jen (8/5): i was satisfied with the service thankyou and would recommend this motel. in fact i already did. - great shower, comfy warm bed. the receptionist was really helpful when she was there. there was no breakfast that i knew of. i would not have ordered it anyway i had been out for dinner the night before and was still full. so not an issue The door was hard to open and close the sliders were grating. i recommend getting the runners looked at. (room 4 settlers) there was nothing for the visitor to use to clean up spills. i recommend either a dish cloth or paper towels be available. i was ready to leave at 8.30 but the reception wasn't staffed till 9am. i did not see somewhere i could return the key that was safe. i recommend a return box for keys for early leavers. if there is one im sorry i missed it. None of these things were huge issues.

• Lorraine (5/5): - Close location to town centre within walking distance. Was this an emergency housing facility? Had to change room on arrival. Room smelt of cannibas, toilet was noisy, door was hard to slide open, benches were old and scratched.
