Guest Reviews
- Safiyyah Balqis (8/5): - Great Location but Needs a Bit of TLC
I recently stayed at The Qamar and while there were some positives, a few areas definitely need improvement.
Facade: The hotel’s exterior is in need of a fresh coat of paint. It could use some sprucing up to match the quality inside.
Parking: Parking space were limited especially during long holiday/school holidays.
Breakfast: The breakfast was just okay. There were some options available, but overall it lacked variety and flavor. A few upgrades here could really enhance the experience.
Overall, the location is fantastic, and the staff was friendly, but addressing these issues would really elevate the stay.
- Marcus (8/5): - 👍
- Shahrizal (8/5): - Good
- RAFIDAH (10/5): - Quite decent hotel for day business trip in Paka
- Hilmee (10/5): Locationwise - It was a good location to stay with many eateries outside teh compound and near the beacg
- Verified traveler (4/5): Unless there is no other choice. - Hotel is old and badly need an upgrade. It is surely not worth the rate they are charging.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location and friendly staff.
TV reception was terrible.
Room was a bit smelly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good
- Slebets (10/5): - swiming pool for kids
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Old hotel but comfortable. Can improve on the breakfast options by having fresh croissants.
- wan ahmad subki (8/5): - Bau kurang menyenangkani pada waktu malm
- Achid (6/5): - With the room condition that I get, to me it's a bit expensive. The hotel should seriously consider to reduce down the price, if don't then need to upgrade/renovate the room
- Verified traveler (6/5): So so only...... not worth the price paid for. - Doors are creaky and hv to turn up the air-con full blast in order to cool the room which took quite awhile even at full blast. Bfast selection was minimal.
Price is not cheap and hence would expect better rooms....
- Verified traveler (10/5): - ok good good
- Verified traveler (8/5): - view ok, room ok
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Satisfactory.
- Nurul (8/5): - Another options as a fresh hotel for corporate company. Comfortable and safe.
- Nurul (8/5): - Another options as a fresh hotel for corporate company
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Feels rundown, needs some refurbishment and general TLC
- Tze Kian (6/5): improvement needed - room has some weird odour
- Fabien (2/5): - Sale très sale
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lift in maintenance during we stayed and need to using staircase to level 2
- Hun Leong (8/5): Too quite, really lack resort ambient - 1 night getaway. Paka town seems remote w nothing exciting, except Sat night market. Bed cleanliness can improve. Bed sheet dirty & stained. Breakfast is reasonable. Sorely lack resort atmosphere, the place occupied by nearby Petronas training staffs... No tourist.
- Izuawarie (4/5): Fasiliti Hotel Yang Mengecewakan - Pengalaman saya di sini agak mengecewakan. Sistem air sejuk/panas gagal berfungsi sepanjang hari sehingga malam.
- mrs (10/5): selesa - keadaan bilik yg sgt selesa,bersih..layanan staf yg trsgt bgus..
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall experience was OK - Overall experience was just OK. However, counter service staff needs to be more helpful in attending customer queries. Every queries must be responded in a good manner e.g. soft spoken to avoid negative perception by customer. Wifi connection was very bad.
- Joshua (2/5): Not good but not much better in the area. - Found a dead roach in my room and had so many mosquitoes as well. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again but I don't have many choices in the area.
- honey (8/5): nice place for peace ur mind - good facilities:.. clean:..and the most important things u can peace ur mind:..
- Satanphop (6/5): Okay (ish) for business trip - I had to ask the receptionist to change my first room as my first neighbor was with a little kids it seems the noise came through the link door. It was bad to have this feature in the room, if you were to have a conference calls or concentrate to your work. The bed was full of dead mosquitoes, and the furnishes was a bit old (some sign of lack of maintenance). I have to mention this, the service and the food were very bad, shortage of staff and breakfast provided was not enough. Don't get me wrong, compare to the other available hotel options, this one was still the best! (It could be worse!)
- Mohd Fahami (10/5): Very fast check in. Good view. Delicious breakfast - Even arrived bit late almost 10pm, the receptionist welcomed guest in very nice smile and speak politely. Very fast check in without hassle and straightaway gave the room's key and coupon for breakfast. If got welcome drink might better.
Room also very nice, very clean and smell very good. Good view outside, facing well maintain swimming pool and rough South China Sea.
Parking space always available for guest.
Variety of food are offered during breakfast. Selection from nice kampung dishes and contemporary cooks.Very hardworking and knowledgeable staff in the restaurant.
The cappuccino and half boil eggs are very nice. Additional local fruits may added extra values to this.
- rafidah (10/5): Nice hotel, close to beach and night market & shop - Comfortable place, spacious rooms and near restaurants and shops
- RAJA HAZENAN (10/5): NICE HOTEL NEAR TO THE BEACH AND A LOT OF STALL - good hotel and very nice Location of Hotel in hometown area and also easy to get traditional food i.e keropok lekor , nasi dagang , and big area for swimming pool near to the main road
- ZMI (8/5): Location quite strategic - Overall satisfactory, food ok
Hotel parking not adequate,
Rate quite expensive compare to other at location.
- Rama (8/5): - Nice Place for outdoor relaxation. If you are looking for a high class service, please change your mind. The place is old, especially the chalet. The price is a bit on the higher side. The beach is very nice and you can walk up to the estuary...about 3.5Km. The entire beach belongs to you. Very nice and quite. The water is clear. However please take note that the sea bed suddenly deepens. Hence if do not know how to swim, I suggest you to be careful if you are interested to take a dip in the sea. Life jacket or float is recommended. The food is reasonably priced and acceptable for the taste. Finally I can see single digit priced items in the menu in a star resort. The staffs are friendly. Even though there is only one vegetarian item in the menu, they are happy to prepare different vegetarian dishes as per your request. We tried vegetarian Tom Yam, vegetable mix (fried) which were not in the menu and yet the prepared for us. We had a nice dinner for around RM56/= - Fried rice, Tom Yam, Spring Roll, Vegetable mix - all Vegetarian and Fish & Chips. The best part is me and my wife enjoyed the clear night sky under moonlight and the stars with Scorpio clearly visible by lying on the clear sand at the sea shore. The sea breeze is very nice and it is really romantic for us.
The best part is the sunrise the next day morning......

- Sarah (6/5): Overprice hotel - 1. I can't believe the room that cost me RM310/night doesn't have a bathtub!
2. Breakfast buffet is excellent.
3. Someone have to solve the mosquito in room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and spacious room - Overall pleasant experience staying here. Friendly staffs. Just hoping the efficacy of the only one reception staff could be improved. Another comment of my room(executive room) is the aircond was not functioning well and was noisy.
- Stephen (4/5): CP value is low - The price is expensive, but the room quality is not good enough. Many ants in the room, facilities are old, and noisy in day time.
The staffs are friendly and helpful. One minute walking distance to the beach is the biggest advantage.
- Zafirah (6/5): Good hotel - Good
- Agnes (6/5): - This is a business hotel. They cater mainly to the staff of Petronas so never go there from Monday to Thursday as the
Place will be very crowded.
