Explorer20059742958 (10/5): Thank you - We were on a 21 days Southeast Asia trip with tour company , “Trip To Go” , there were 56 people in our group. By the time we arrived at Fortuna Hotel Hanoi, we had already been to 8 different hotels. This hotel was by far the BEST hotel we had stayed. When we arrived, there were many different tours and a lot of people around the hotel lobby. We arrived exhausted from having to get up at 3 AM that morning, touring around the city and countryside all day. There he was, Mr Pangan, General Manager of the hotel, standing there greeted me with a smile. He asked if anything he would help us with. We were all exhausted and hungry. He referred us upstairs to this fabulous Chinese restaurant. The Chinese food and dim sum were as good as in America if it’s not better and the service was exceptional, especially with the captain Ms Florence. Mr Pangan and Ms Florence had helped us recover from our exhaustions. We want to thank them with our gratitude. If we ever return to Hanoi Fortuna hotel will be our home!

emerynh (10/5): Quality, value for money hotel - Fortuna has been my go to hotel whenever I travel to Hanoi. The rooms are clean and well maintained with excellent cable television. They have infotainment and movie channels that cater to a variety of asian and european guests. The food is excellent and innovative, try the salt coffee and the pork floss and salted egg gateaux. They have a decent sized lap pool and the gym is huge with additional cardio machines that allows me to burn off those extra calories from the yummies. There is a massage spa and separate steam rooms for males and females. On days when I feels like having a resort day, this hotel has all that ammenities at a very reasonable rate. The real deal however, is its staff. The service I get here is sincere, ready service always with a smile. They keep an eye out for my elderly parents or when I struggle with heavy bags, a staff will appear to help. The service feels like an extension of how they are treated here as staff and this is what sets this hotel apart from the bigger, glitzier chains and what keeps me coming back again and again.
wheichern (10/5): Perfect place ! - Amazing place to stay. I travelled with my elderly parents and adult kids. It was a gathering for my extended family (sisters and their families) close to 20pax. Fortuna took such good care of us. From airport transfers to assisting us in arranging outings and activities. From front the desk to the restaurants. The people were so thoughtful and caring, the place is incredibly clean and well maintained. We’ve been here several times and it’s our hotel of choice in Hanoi

davidyJ4290YP (8/5): Average stay hotel for the masses - The hotel was very new looking with the usual grand entry, on check in we were processed quickly and went to our room to settle in for a bit before Venturing out to look at the area, when we entered the room there was a distinct smell of cigarette smoke on the air also in the hall way there were sand trays for cigarette bits near the lifts which was concerning, on the bed side table was a notice “please don’t smoke in bed” the whole floor was smoking we didn’t complain just wore it I guess. Although the hotel is spectacular it is positioned in an area with not that much to do and being about 30 minutes from the old town area a cab or Grab was needed to get anywhere, the hotel is used for large conventions and tour groups I would say, the facilities were good with a pool restaurant etc and the staff were considerate but not outwardly friendly not like a smaller establishment I’m my opinion. There are some small shops and a cafe of 2 around but nothing to speak of. Rooms are clean and modern and the usual Asian breakfast menu.

Wanderer556587 (2/5): hopeless room service - the hotel is located with nothing around it only construction sites. We ordered room service and it was a joke, the food was cold and the staff came back 2 times looking for the payment , then their portable card machine was working so wanted to take my credit card downstairs so i just brought the food down to reception and paid the bill and the night manager was hopeless and didn't see anything wrong with the service. they are a penny pinching set of fools. stay away and you will easily find somewhere nicer.

TOSHIO (10/5): 多分次回もお世話になると思います。 - 10年以上ハノイではフォーチュナホテルに泊まってます。プールが広く毎朝泳いでから朝食を食べます。少し値段が高いですが、5階のラウンジが使える部屋にしています。チェックインチェックアウト、朝食、午後7時までは軽食と飲み物を落ち着いた雰囲気で飲み食いすることができます。それらのメリットを考えますと、宿泊代は安いのではないでしょうか？ラウンジの受付の方の対応は本当に素晴らしいです。設備は古くなってきていると思います。ホテルの近くに遅くまで営業している飲食店は少ないです。私は静かな雰囲気の方が好きなので、気にはしてないです。

Yyy (3/5): Poor - nope I had a very frustrating experience. The chubby woman with glasses at the reception was very rude and unprofessional. When I first asked for an invoice, she said no. When I lived in Vietnam and all hotels had an invoice if I booked through Booking.com, I asked why not, and she said yes. And I am a non-smoker, but she gave me a smoking room. When I told her I am a non-smoker and asked to change rooms, she said it was a smoking room and told me to use a smoking room. When I complained more, she said there were only twin beds and told me to use a twin bed.When I asked for a refund, she suddenly said there was a room available. She said she couldn't work. I was very angry. She didn't even apologize.

layh0ckl (10/5): We just visited Hanoi n stayed 3 nights at this clean,comfortable n friendly hotel sited conveniently right in town. - The hotel is sited in a convenient location n has full facilities including a nice spa/onsen with large hot n cold water pools for a relaxing time. Dining facilities are very good n the breakfast spreads are really delicious n varied n well prepared at the Captain Lounge n the Cafe.The Chinese Restaurant May Man serves fine Chinese cuisine that we throughly enjoyed.We dined there 2 times!There is also a good Japanese restaurant. Hotel is well staffed with friendly n professional staff many with many years of service.The GM Gener Pangan was very helpful n accommodating n arranged our two day trips which we enjoyed. We will stay in this hotel when we come back to Hanoi. We will return
Voyager295498 (10/5): Superlative services with extraordinary meals catering to the health centric connoisseurs. - I have not visited Hanoi for more than 10 years. My visit Mar 10 - 13, 2025 (Mon - Thurs) was a most pleasant experience, especially with the personal attention of Gener A Pangan, the GM. He personally coordinated the tours for my 2 friends & the necessary transportation. The meals at May Man (their cuisine restaurant) were extraordinary - dishes crafted with elegance & health centric elixirs. Try their bull's penis.

Casino, sPA, Nice deco. Nice merlion outside. 45mins away from airport. Breakfast, coffee, and food was OK but no halal options.

televisionk (10/5): Amazing - Been to this hotel many times, I love the dimsum. Incomparable to others that's why I keep on coming back. One major thing I noticed is a very BIG improvement on the service and of course the decorations. I think this hotel hired a new manager in-charge of the decorations or their new manager in-charge is creative. Last year and a year before the set up was very basic. But now very impressive decorations, from Halloween big size decorations to Christmas big candy theme. I can't wait to see what decorations they will do for the Tet Holiday. Good job Fortuna for having a creative team and good finds on your new manager in-charge of operation.

146ladyw (10/5): Fortuna Hotel Hanoi - I had a wonderful stay at Fortuna Hotel Hanoi! The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I especially loved their food. The Chee Cheong Fun wrap with the uber crispy You Tiao and prawn, paired with their special sauce, was absolutely delicious. It was a memorable dining experience that made my stay even better. Highly recommend!

Matthew (6/5): - The check in is fast. This is the 2nd stay since 2006. The surrounding is getting more restaurants compare to last time. There is a western restaurant just beside the hotel. However I find that the food at Tiffin is better. Room is average, cleanliness can be improved. Air conditioner work well. The shower is strong enough for a good bath. Didn’t take the breakfast as there are a lot of Chinese crowd. Travel to old quarter is easy, just call a grab. Will definitely come back to stay.
