Wendy (10/5): Super comfortable and well priced! - The motor inn is in a quiet location and very close to shops, the pub & a cafe (5 minute walk). Our room had recently been renovated and was self contained and spotless. Room was overall well appointed (we loved the leather lounge chairs!) & the bed was super comfy. Each unit also had undercover parking with decent clearance for a 4WD. All staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful. I can’t fault anything!

Charlie (10/5): - I really enjoyed my two days here. The owners are super friendly and only too happy to help. On my first day I was chatting with a guy who I assumed was the father of one of the owners, he’s a really happy and jovial guy, quite the character who left me smiling. They were all cleaning the other rooms so I opened the door to hear all of the laughter and fun. Wendy doesn’t know it but her laughter was infectious, I was having a giggle along as she laughed, the fun banter between the team is gold. Please don’t change. It was a 35c day, no one else was in the pool between my social things so I had a dip in the pool. It was bloody beautiful. Thank you, I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Stephen (10/5): Amazing - This is the most cleanest motel l have stayed at. I have stayed here previously and definitely will be staying again. The rooms are immaculate and the graden is so beautiful. The owners and cleaners and maintenance are doing an amazing job.

Add to that a really friendly host who was flexible when we were arriving early, good walking trail nearby and pub next door for dinner and you can't make a one night stay much better. Nil. All good.

The amply equipped kitchen & utensils were more than adequate & useful. We required more crockery & cutlery & Wendy & Paul were so helpful & supplied immediately. Very comfortable chairs to watch the the Brownlows, complete with an ottoman!! Perfect location just opposite the river, down the road from the golf course & next to the pub. Would & will very happily stay again at River Gums……. Absolutely nothing!

Apartment style setup: this is how a motel room should be designed. Large fridge, hotplate, microwave and all your crockery, cutlery, and pots and pans needs. Table and chairs. King bed, great TV. Great compendium. Parking outside room. Quiet location with top restaurant in Barooga hotel just next door. Prefer low profile pillow options, and fluffy bedsheet size towels.
