• Verified traveler (10/5): A gem - A very clean, pleasant place with friendly service. It has everything we needed for a chill out few days. Quiet, spacious room, with sitting area outside in the small garden. Plenty of parking space. Didn't get to walk around the area, but it's walking distance to the beach. Netflix on TV which was great for movie night. WiFi for phone was a bit temperamental but not a big deal as we were trying to avoid "work emergencies". An option of softer pillows would have made everything perfect. Breakfast menu looked amazing, perhaps next time!
• Deepika (10/5): - I stayed with my partner for a night there,our room was lovely, nice & clean. Perfect for 2 people stay. Room has got everything from fridge, cutlery, toaster, kettle, microwave to smart TV. Bathroom is spacious & very clean. talking about Location, it is close to main town & walking distance the lost springs. We were given some complimentary nut bars & cookies for the morning tea. We enjoyed our stay & would love to consider this place again for our stay.

The Hosts were amazing as we had a medical issue and they were supportive and caring. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay in Whitianga.

Very clean and tidy, 2 minute walk from the beach, 2 minute drive to Lost Springs Spa and 4 minute drive into the town centre. Has aircon and a fan so was able to cool down the room significantly during the warm day and felt incredibly safe staying here. Amazing shower! Enough room for 3 and a rainhead was pretty amazing! Complementary milk and water in the frigde and kette and cutlery available. Very friendly encounters with the owner too. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing little place!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Nice and clean cottage - Nice and clean cottage, located in a quiet neighbourhood. Bathroom looked newly renovated. There was a great selection of tea, drinks, and breakfast bars which we enjoyed. Highly recommend their breakfast - I can't remember the exact name but their Italian tomato dish was amazing. I think the bedroom blind could be replaced for greater privacy.

• Al (10/5): - Both Andrea and Mac have a wealth of knowledge about the area and are more than happy to share it . They want your visit to be as pleasant as possible. There are two rooms both of which are very good but the cottage is much roomier although the shower in the house room is better. It's only a 15 minute walk to town where there are several restaurants to choose from. P.S I recommend the poached eggs at breakfast.

Room was very clean and we appreciated the AC after previous nights at other accommodations without and a very warm February. Easy walk to town along the beach, yet far enough away to be very quiet. The beach itself was a block away and nice for an afternoon swim!

This was the last night of our 7 week trip and being served breakfast on the Patio deck by Macca in his apron was far better than the usual breakfast experience in a hotel. Would definitely return if we are ever lucky enough to visit this beautiful country again.

• Desiree (10/5): Amazing hosts and great location! - Mackey and Andrea were so amazing! They are welcoming hosts who know how to strike up conversation while giving you space to do your own thing. They have a ton of local knowledge and gave excellent recommendations. I recommend adding the breakfast, Mackey makes an excellent spread and you get to pick his brain about places to see. The room was clean and spacious, and very conveniently located. They have bikes you can use and shovels and towels to borrow for the hot water beach. We absolutely adored this place and thought it was one of the best stops we made on our two week trip.

There's plenty of room with a nice sofa & table for eating. Beach towels, 2 luggage racks, even a chocolate mint on your pillow! Very close to the Lost Springs & the entire town is lovely with lots of charm. We'd definitely stay again!

The room we had (1 of 2 rooms) was small but nice and all we needed for one night. They also had an outdoor table and chairs for each room to use for eating, drinking and relaxing. A nice place for one night.

The room was more than big enough and everything was clean and tidy. There's a couple of parking spaces practically on the doorstep. Very pleasant.

• Raewyn (10/5): Peaceful Getaway - We stayed two nights. Our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and large and overlooked a lovely garden area. The bathroom was new and shower pressure was excellent. Also free wifi .Location was in a residential area and close to a main road but we heard no road noise. Not far from the beach but would be a bit of a walk into town. The Lost Spring Spa is just a short walk away and worth visiting. The breakfast was absolutely divine and cooked perfectly to order. Andrea and her partner were welcoming hosts and I would definitely recommend and stay again.

It's a little on the cosy side but very well presented and clean plus the breakfast Andrea served was excellent. Our host was also very informative re the area and tourist interests.
