Guest Reviews

- Glenn (6/5): - Just an ok place to stop overnight , plenty of tradesman who get up early in the morning so don’t expect to sleep in after 5am
- frank (10/5): - Wish there were more like this!
- Thomas (8/5): - Friendly staff with good advice
- Derek (6/5): - Motel is OK but not worth the money. Room was clean but everything is very dated.
- Robyn (10/5): - Check in easy
Room big clean
No Evening meal but Thai Take Away across the road excellent

- Steve (10/5): - Fantastic
- Rob (10/5): Comfy - Great comfy motel
- Abhimanyu (2/5): - Paid in full for reservation a day ago . Didn’t picked phone up for getting keys . Worst hotel system ever . Had to sleep in my car with kids
- Lisa (6/5): - This was a miners lodge so was full of workers. Room was clean and bed was comfy. I had to keep going to reception to ask for things that hadnt been put in the room.
Overnight one person attempted to get in to the room with their key. I'm guessing a wrong room as they went away when we shouted at them.
We then had cleaners attempting to get in several times from 7am despite check out being 10am!
Not a safe area for 2 females travelling together.
- Jackie (6/5): - Paid for a luxury room. Room was spacious but a small bed which was uncomfortable. Room came with microwave and sink however there was detergent for sink but no sponge. A microwave yet no plates, bowls or cutlery provided, only two mugs and 1 teaspoon. After purchasing takeaway Thai, this became a problem. Luckily we had a picnic set with us. Would have expected more in this room.
- Wayne (6/5): - Apart from the lack of advertised inclusions, soap in shower and handbasin. No crockery or cutlery. It was mainly clean . Not recommended for more than a single night. The little Thai restaurant down the road was great.
- christopher (8/5): Would stay here again - Very easy check in and stay. Clean and comfortable room
- Stephen (10/5): - Excellent customer service from all staff
- Kwan (6/5): - The shower needs restoration as twice now I stayed n water pools up in the shower and overflowed. The cobwebs outside the room needs attention in fact the whole room needs update.
- Chelsea (10/5): - It was absolutely quiet near my room
- Garry (6/5): - Great sized room with good bench space. Ok mattresses but although aircon worked it went a bit funny early in the morning.
- Rodney (10/5): - Great Stay
- Barry (8/5): - The property is centrally located. The rooms are clean & spacious. Its a pity the dining room isnt open, however options are within walking distance.
- Erik (10/5): - All good
- Neville (6/5): - Ok
- Rhonda (8/5): - This property was easy to find and park
- Robert (4/5): - Broken tiles on the floor, shower leaked all over bathroom floor, no toilet paper in the room
- Michael (10/5): - A very good room and a quiet blue of units
- Kristopher (10/5): - Nice clean motel
- Catherine (6/5): - served the purpose of overnight stay.
- Adrian van der (8/5): - .

- Lynn (10/5): A nice stay - We had a nice stay at Cobar Town and Country Inn. It was clean and comfortable.
- Peter (10/5): - Well located clean and spacious rooms
- Kym (10/5): - Quiet location. Room was spacious. Beds comfortable
- Jenice (6/5): - Vastly overpriced for what is was.
Paid $165 for a very basic room. Nothing fancy. Nothing to warrant the price. Had no idea we were on the 1st floor which made life difficult. Would not stay there again
- Ivan (8/5): - The property was well situated park the car and walk spacious rooms
- Jim (6/5): - Listing on wotif showed bar, bar/lounge for food and drink and room service --- There is none. The receptionist was generally disinterested. The room was part of a pair of rooms and an adjoining door had no lock and was secured by placing a table in front of the door. The room was tired and badly in need of refreshing. The room was clean, and the bed good, but otherwise was undeserving of a high rating. Wotif should review this listing for honesty.... it is false and misleading.... that is unacceptable. If you are desperate for accommodation in Cobar - its ok, but they need to lift their game. We would recommend planning your trip to skip overnight in Cobar.
- Kym (10/5): - Executive suite upstairs was great.
- Robert (6/5): - Room size good , bed comfortable , good position. Advertised restaurant not open.
- Yuji (10/5): - Had a good sleep
- Mary (8/5): Comfortable respite! - We arrived after driving 800kms. The room was very large and comfortable. Great aircon thankfully (40 outside). A 1 minute walk onto the Main Street of town and surprisingly quiet.
- Jason (10/5): - Please remove any references to the restaurant
A long way to travel to find out there is no longer a functioning restaurant
- Matt (10/5): - Was just easy
- Andrew (8/5): - It did have a kot if traffic (semi trailers) passing closeby. I enquired at re eption about further travel and road conditions and other information. The receptionist was unable to answer and dudnt offer alternatives. I ended up going to the lical.police station. The room was clean, in good condition, had a decent refrigerator and all in all was great.
- Noelene (10/5): - The motel is close to everything in the main street. Located on the highway in and out of town.
Although a bit pricier than we would normally pay for an overnight stay, the room was very clean, comfortable and spacious.
- Sue (10/5): - Each time I stay, I am impressed by courteous staff. Well situated and very comfortable.
- Sharon (8/5): - .
- Barry (8/5): - Location
- Steve (4/5): - Mould in the shower, curtains with backing facing in, wifi unusable, carpet needs cleaning. Place needs a good tidy up but the meals were ok.
- Darren (8/5): - Convenient, clean, tidy and easy to use, important at the end of a 1k drive.
- Ross (10/5): - X
- Stan (8/5): - Property good, on your site it said breakfast & dinner were available however they were not (and this is why we chose the property.
However in saying that breakfast and dinner were available within walking distance.
- EDWARD (10/5): - Lani and staff were friendly and accommodating. Thank you
- Richard (10/5): - Great facilities, comfortable & well appointed room. Friendly staff.
- PETER (4/5): - Out dated, mold in shower, definitely not 4 star motel , booked because had restaurant on site but closed indefinitely no mention of this on booking website, also someone was parked in our car park , overall very disappointed
- Galina (6/5): - A nice motel with facilities as advertised. Excellent Thai restaurant nearby
- The bath/shower is terrible - impossible to take a shower without getting the whole room wet.
- Robert (8/5): - We were travelling through the area and stayed just the one night. The property could do with some maintenance and upkeep.
- Catherine (6/5): - Like_ friendly check-in, clean up to date bathroom, clean room.
Didn't like- absolutely dreadful condition of couch, all peeling, office chair? really had seen better days , all peeling, no black covering on head and arm rest area. Was going to order eat in but due to no table and awful chairs, where would we sit. the Tour Bus revving engines at 6:30 am for 20 mins. we left at 8:00 am it was still there.
Have stayed a motel 2 prior to Covid no worries, great dining room this time very very disappointed.
- Jim (10/5): - Perfect position right on the edge of town and we were able to book with only short notice. Friendly and helpful staff.
- Steven (10/5): - Good place convenient location
- Scott (8/5): - Comfortable, room could have had an extra chair to eat at the long counter or a 4 seat table in the corner could have been good
- Belinda (10/5): - Lovely and clean, very spacious and comfortable.
- Peter (10/5): - It was simple and not complicated
- Hannah (8/5): - Comfortable and safe motel.
- Sonya (2/5): - Room wasn’t clean. Pool area was filthy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great friendly and helpful staff
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No hairdryer dirty towel amongst the clean breakfast included was advertised but would not provide highly expensive and uncooperative staff who need training in hospitality also flor had not been cleaned clothing tags were on floor from devious clients
- maurice (8/5): - Rooms were overpriced for what you received
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Restaurant and food good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The bed was very average
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Generally good however dirty hand marks on shower wall
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nothing unique
- Gary (4/5): Overpriced and trired - Overpriced anywhere let alone for a country town with tired and dated furniture which needed replacing.
- James (8/5): Mt Grenfell - We decided do a trip to Cobar over Easter 2021. The Motel was in a good location and very quiet. staff were helpful when we needed to use them.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Way too expensive for what they offer, it is most basic of places but they charge like worldchampions
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Motel room good. I was annoyed that they said there was no milk to give me because of covid... yet many of the “workers” staying here got bottles of milk. I think they were just catering to them. I’ve stayed in many motels that give you a little jug of milk.
- Alan (8/5): A great resting spot after a long day - Motel was at the end of a very long day on the road and very welcome. Checked in - good meal in the restaurant. Everything was fine.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very dated and haphazard furnishing.
Not a well planned room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room expensive for the age & quality of furnishings
- Robert (6/5): What you expect - What you expect from a country town motel so don't be too fussy. We dined at the restaurant but again, most things crumbed and over-cooked. It seems guests prefer deep fried food or they would surely change the menu. The fact that the fish order was mistaken for heavily battered seafood combo didn't help... what a relief to find a Japanese restaurant in Dubbo.
Good, polite service
- Vincent (8/5): - The location is very good. It is near shops, restaurant, a servo and even churches. Good access road to our driving destination.
- KEVNAD (8/5): - Good location to be able to walk the whole main street, Room was really spacious and clean. Bed was in need of new mattress and shower was tight to get into because door opened wrong way. Overall quiet location.
- Stew (10/5): - The front office and restaurant staff at this hotel were outstanding! Really went out of their way to help me out and super friendly. First class service!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A nice property to stay. Not new but clean. Fantastic staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The family room we stayed in was large and tidy. Staff were very helpful
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good spot. Carpet could do with a good deep clean. Good size rooms
- Helen (6/5): - Just an average motel. Not bad, not good.
- Peter (8/5): - Room was clean & tidy, reception was good as was the food.
- Stephen (8/5): - Very clean with hospitable and helpful staff. Will stay again on my next business trip.
- Grumpy (2/5): - Where to start! Appalling bed. Television was up so high I got neck strain watching. Almost no cutlery and crockery. The curtain did not close fully, which meant the outdoor security light blazed into the room all night long. Dreadful.
- Amanda (10/5): - Right on the Main Street with easy access and great parking. Servo directly across the road so makes for easy departure if you need to go early like we do
- Verified traveler (8/5): - They went out of there way to look after us
- Derrin (10/5): Cobar kindness - Great country motel. Good old fashioned service
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall my experience with this property has been very good. The only thing that can take the gloss off a little bit is that the reception closes at 8pm and on my most recent visit the phones were not diverted to a mobile after hours and the mobile number on the door went straight to voicemail with only a message saying "Hey Hey". Mobile coverage coming from either direction is patchy so it is not always easy to let them know you're arriving late. It took me hammering on the door to get attention and that was only because the kitchen staff were setting up for the morning before leaving. It was about 9:30 pm. It's not that hard to see if you have an overdue arrival towards the end of the day and either give them a courtesy call or just put the key in the key safe and text the access code to the guest if they are out of mobile coverage.
- Customer (2/5): - AC not effective for room size, note under AC stating not to turn below 20 or will freeze, had to.move beds under AC to stay cool, shower only half the spray nozzles working, lady at desk very abrupt, ordered the room on line was ment to be 1 queen and 1 double, got 1 double and 1 kids single I'm 5.8 and my legs hung off the bed, as my daughter is taller so let her sleep in double.
Wouldn't stay there again
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bed not made properly. General cleanliness of room not acceptable. Mattress uncomfortable. Bathroom not cleaned properly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything available at motel. Expensive little town though. Recommend eat in
- Paula (2/5): - Air con barely worked on a 45 degree day, no spoons to make coffee, microwave didn’t work and just simply NOT a pleasant place to stay. Hotels.com should be ashamed to recommend it. f I knew how I would be asking for a refund! Horrific place!
