Guest Reviews
- Wright (7/5): - Brilliant location, convenient but quiet and private. The cottage is old and needs some updating. Things like the door handles, toilet flush, and shower head were difficult to use as they do not work properly.
- Francisca (10/5): Pit stop- cozy sleep - In the middle of bushy area but in the midle of the town too Bathroom a bit narrow
- John (8/5): -
- Liya (10/5): -
- Paul (5/5): Great spot close to the shops and beach - Close to all shops No Wi-Fi and the cottage could do with some love and care. Hot water was only warm.
- Anne (5/5): Passable - Cottage is very nice, lovely setting. Bathroom was too small. Hot water unsanitary for washing dishes, had to boil kettle to wash up. Many dishes were unclean .
- Edwina (10/5): The Best Easter Stay Cay 🐰 - We loved that when you walked to the end of the driveway you were on the Main Street to beach/jetty, water, pubs supermarket and shops. We loved that it was pet friendly, it was awesome. We loved it had everything we needed for our Easter stay. We loved its location the most. Can’t wait to come back. That’s I had contacted management with no reply. It didn’t affect our stay just annoyed me.

- Suresh (2/5): Very poor - Not much The place was so small and dirty and the windows didn't shut. Me and my family disliked the stay due to no ocean as a view as said in the advertisement to book the cabin. Very poor trip.

- Warren (5/5): very disappointing for the money paid. - it had an area for my dog none of the nightstand lights worked. some had no lights at all. one of the cupboard doors in the kitchen was broken. the sofas were uncomfortable. the windows in the bedrooms were dirty. the backyard was overgrown. I won’t be coming here to stay ever. it was very disappointing.
- Mark (6/5): Nice cabin in a good location. - The cabin has lots of natural wood giving it loads of character. Could not get the heat to work.
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Bev (8/5): We had a very comfortable stay. - This is a cozy clean cottage for 4 people with ample kitchen utensils. Heating/cooling was really good. The only thing was the tiny shower room. Some hooks on wall would be good for towels. The location was also fantastic. Overall we had a great stay 😃 A mirror and shelving for clothes in one of the bedrooms would be good. Good overall.
- Mary (10/5): Peaceful, quiet stay - Nice quite area, accessible host when I had a question, clean and tidy. Easy place to get to, was a nice stop over for work
- Chris (5/5): not the best place to stay - location lack of tea , milk and generally a low standard for the money

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - This quaint little cottage is located at the rear of the owners property, secluded from the road but close enough to walk to everything in town. It had everything you would need for an overnight stay, kitchen, bathroom, cute bedrooms and even a BBQ! It was very clean and well kept. We found the beds to be a little uncomfortable, I could feel a few springs...and the campers in the property next to the cottage, were a bit loud and did wake us at certain times in the night. Overall I enjoyed my stay.
- Mel (4/5): Never saw the port bayou cottage - I booked to stay at the port bayou cottage with 2 br and instead stayed at the second floor of the Seafoam villas. Though it was an upgrade I somewhat felt something funny was going on. When I asked why we couldn't have the cottage the man said that I'm being upgraded and shouldn't worry and that it was 1 km inland. The thing is that was ok with us because we preferred our setting to be a little secluded. Instead we got a big 2 br apartment facing a busy restaurant with huge glass windows. The apartment is very spacious with creaking windows in the wind and sliding doors that opened and closed on their own. All night the wind blew very strong it even blew the chairs outside and hit the glass and it was so loud since the apartment was on the top corner facing the oncoming winds. It was not a secluded feeling at all. Plus in the middle of the night the slding door rattled and banged loud then came off the rails. There was only one heater for the whole place and it was in the kitchen. So the back room was coldest. It was hard to cook while the heater above blew hot air into the kitchen. That was weird. Also the listing said the cotrage had a grill which we planned to use and when asked the manager said he didn't have a grill at the villas nor at the cottage. The manager allowed us to have later checkout because I complained about the Windows and sliding door. I imagine the other rooms on the second floor might be less noisy with the wind. Overall it was comfortable and clean
