Guests must contact this cruise ship 2 days in advance to arrange transportation from Hanoi- Old Quarter or 9 Hang Huong Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, which is 4 hours away by car. A roundtrip daily transfer from Hanoi to Ha Long departs between 8 AM and noon, at USD 10 per passenger. Following the cruise, a van will transport guests back to Hanoi. This cruise ship's itinerary includes (varies by rate plan booked): Arrive at Ha Long City by 12:15 PM for transfer to Imperial Classic cruise ship. During lunch, sail past Stone Dog islet, limestone islands, and a floating fishing village toward Heavenly Palace Cave for kayaking and swimming. Reboard for dinner, evening activities, and overnight aboard the ship. Day 2: After breakfast, join a cooking class after check-out. Lunch is served aboard prior to arrival at the harbor by 12:30 PM. Shuttle bus services transport guests to Hanoi by 4:30 PM. Please note for guests booked in a "Double Room - 3 Days and 2 Nights (1 on Boat and 1 in Bungalow)" room category accommodations include 1st night aboard ship and 2nd night in guestroom at Catba Sandy Beach Resort. Guests must register with the cruise at least 24 hours in advance. Registration is valid with full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number, and visa expiration date for all passengers. A valid passport is required at check-in.

- Cristan (8/5): Very nice trip - We stayed on board one night and then in a lovely bungalow at Catba Sandy Beach Resort the second. The staff, food? And service were wonderful both nights. The boat however, was due to be retired. I should add that there are many others in this condition. Look closelywhen you book.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great way to experience Halong Bay - Free transfer from Hanoi to Halong, good bus driver, but seats were hard and not that comfortable for a 4 hour journey. Tour guide was great and followed us through from Hanoi to Halong and back to Hanoi. Very friendly and helpful. Great experience for the cruise, no wifi though, and it was hot and air-condition can only be on at night for sleeping, but we were mostly out of the room. Even then our room had a private balcony which had a nice view of the bay. We had a nice evening for squid fishing where you can really see the squids, fishes jellyfishes swimming right below you. The program they had for us for the 2 day 1 night was just nice and flexible.

- Matija (6/5): Very touristy - Can't compare this cruise to other Halong Bay cruises, but experience for us was subpar (especially given the price). The bus journey was not comfortable and the whole thing felt very rushed, with restricting times for meals (e.g. breakfast at 6.45 - 7.30). When we challlenged the bill in the end (were overcharged for coffee / drinks by 50%), the staff got very aggressive. If this is the norm at Halongn Bay, I'd say skip it all together, if not, then try another cruise.
- Dee S (8/5): Newer small ship with just 9 cabins & good food! - This ship was newer & cleaner than others that I saw at Halong Bay. It has only 9 cabins so you get personal attention & the included meals very quite good. Vinh the guide was excellent too
- Verified traveler (4/5): Book elsewhere - Very disappointed with our stay here. As soon as we checked in to our room, it was obvious they'd switched the boat without telling us. I specifically booked a boat with a separate shower but the boat we stayed on had the toilet and shower combined. Furthermore, my friends and i all found cockroaches in our rooms. I asked the manager about this and he confirmed they switched the boat. He then went on to explain that it's only 1 night so it shouldn't be a big deal. As for the cockroaches, he explained that it's just the season and not due to cleanliness. I live in Vietnam, however, and so long as I clean my house thoroughly every week, I don't get cockroaches. I'm certain it's because they don't clean thoroughly enough; the washrooms were filthy and smelled like sewage. I would avoid booking through this company. It seems, according to the other reviews, if you get a good boat you'll have a great time. But if they switch the boat without telling you, youll be stuck with dirty rooms and cockroaches.. And they wont acknowledge a legitimate complaint or try to rectify it in any way. I understand this a midrange boat so I adjusted my expectations. I was not expecting a fabulous and fancy room. I only expected to receive what I paid for and I did not.
- King Lud (8/5): A good way to enjoy beautiful Halong Bay - We wanted to spend a night on Halong Bay. Honestly, there are so many cruise options we simply chose randomly. We weren't disappointed. The Bay is magnificent and the boat took us to all the highlights. I didn't have super-high expectations of the boat itself so I found it very adequate. Our tour guide was terrific. Also, and this is a big plus, we were picked up and dropped off from our hotel in Hanoi. The staff on the boat itself left a bit to be desired. The cabin and bathroom was small but clean and comfortable.
- Jane (8/5): Halong Bay - Boat was simple and basic, but fine. 16 passengers which meant everyone could get to know each other. Staff on board and tour guide were very good. Food was plentiful and they went to trouble of asking people for dietary preferences. The trip was amazing, and well worth the long coach journey to get there.

- Tara (10/5): Nice boat, extremely helpful and friendly staff - We were upgraded to the 4-star boat, so this review does not reflect the 3.5 star boat we had booked. The staff on our boat were very friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond for us. I had a special dietary restriction that they adhered to for every meal and assured me of the contents of my food upon serving EVERY course. The schedule for the boat cruise was perfect, a mix of activity with down time. Further, my husband misplaced his cell phone on the bus ride back to the city and they were able to trace it down for him and bring it back to us before we flew out that evening. We were so impressed by how they went above and beyond for him.

- Scott (10/5): Amazing location & Service was 5 star all the way - What an amazing 2 day/1 night getaway. While I booked this boat, it appeared due to low season that the company didn't operate (they own 3 - with Imperial being the smaller one) - instead they upgraded to the 4 start Silver Seas Cruises and wow - everything was great - even the 4 hour transfers each way. The food on the Silver Seas Cruises was 1st class and several meals had courses that would not have been out of place in any fine dinning restaurant. The room facilities were excellent and wow having a shower while watching the scenery of Halong Bay change was just amazing. So glad I booked (& got upgraded). Don't ever do a day trip from Hanoi - an overnight trip is way more relaxing.
