- Nicholas (3/5): Good spot- except on Friday and Saturday nights - Great location- walking distance to everything in the CBD The location! It is right above the Hindley St strip… meaning there was loud music, sirens and shouting until 5am- until the street sweepers started up. Very broken sleep!

- Khair Mohammad (5/5): I stayed at Eminence on Bank for a few days. The hotel’s location was excellent and very convenient, and the staff were - It was near to the city, that’s why I liked it. I was surprised that there was no clear information provided in advance regarding the 200 AUD security deposit required at check-in. It would have been helpful if this had been communicated more clearly before arrival. Unfortunately, I also experienced several issues during my stay that negatively affected my overall experience. After sleeping in the room, I developed several skin reactions and bite-like marks on my body that became swollen and irritated. I cannot say with certainty what caused them, but it made me feel very uncomfortable and concerned. I also felt that the bed linens and duvet did not seem sufficiently clean or hygienic. In addition, the bathroom was extremely small, and the water pressure in the shower was very weak, making it less comfortable to use. The television in the room was also very small, and the hotel lacked a proper common area or lounge where guests could sit and relax.

The staff were great, very accomodating and friendly They are undergoing renovations and had some issues with the elevator not working during the stay. But the staff were great and made every effort to work with this to make the stay comfortable.

- Megan (3/5): For heavy sleepers or the heavily medicated only. - The location in terms of where it is in the city is great. I was in a room on the first floor and the noise situation was untenable. The hotel is over a bar or club that plays music so loudly that even if you have earplugs in and multiple white noise machines on as I did (air con, fan, additional white noise playing on phone), you will still hear/feel the music coming through the building structure and up into your head on a pillow. I was only able to sleep with a combination of all of the above plus travel exhaustion and some medication. After that finally completed at whatever late hour, a busker played outside until at least 5:45 AM. The property is undergoing extensive renovation right now and I can only hope that this will include adding significant sound-dampening measures.

Tired room, mirror too high and not clear so unable to do makeup in bathroom, no power point to plug in lamp on side table. Very very noisy on a Saturday night, because of the location the Saturday night party crowd were extremely loud.

The bathroom exhaust fan was noisy, sounded like it was going to fall out of the roof, windows were filthy, the room even with a noisy air con was hot and stuffy. It wasn't Easy to locate as it looked like a building. Not easy to temporarily park a car to check in.

Couldn’t connect multi screen without paying for a subscription. Wifi didn’t work. One of the bedroom doors was all smashed up. Toilet door handle wasn’t attached properly/broken. Shower was disgusting. Key tag didn’t work. We got locked out. We paid for 5 single beds and only had 4. Nowhere for one person to sleep so they slept on the floor. Staff were not helpful at all.

I told them it was not us immediately as signed a document that I could be charged for interfering with smoke alarm and smoking in the room. We don’t smoke and think they need to follow up and follow through with this rule.

- simone (1/5): I would not stay again or recommend - The rooms did not look like the photos advertised, room 507 had water damage and a large whole in the ceiling and both rooms smelt like mould. The sheets had stains and the bathroom in 307 was not clean. The front entrance had pee all over the door and the smell while waiting for the lift was horrible.

We got last minute booking at Eminence on bank but when we arrived at the hotel the staff lady was so lovely and the room was so spacious for our family. The bonus part that everything was on walking distance like shopping, food and most of the city attractions just 10 to 20 minutes walk. I would highly recommend the Eminence on bank and would give 10 out of 10 for service, room and location. Thanks Eminence on bank team. ❤️ N/A

- Jack (3/5): Had a terrible stay at this property and for the price I paid I would have expected a lot better! - Hard to check in after hours.. it seemed to be a 3rd party after hours check in company who didn’t know that the lift was out of order and didn’t know that you had to use the fire escape. they didn’t have the lift working and then fire stairs were the only option and they were dirty. Lift was in and out of order for the weekend and was not a nice place to stay! Property was under renovations and this was not advised to me and for $500 per night it was far from what I expected! The AC was an in window unit that was loud and annoying. Bathroom was dirty with cracked tiles around the shower..

Further to this there were building works underway. Nothing positive to say about this property. The whole experience. After travelling for years for work, this is the worst value hotel I have ever stayed at.

There were insuffient power outlets for ancillary travel items to operate. In place of the power outlets, there were two overloaded power boards (very dangerous).
