Guest Reviews
- Niki (9/5): - Clean, spacious, comfortable, good size kitchen
- Felipe (8/5): Great value for money stay in the Hunter Valley. - Beautiful tranquil location with birds and kangaroos roaming freely and lovely lake to sit and enjoy a cold beverage. Lots of animal dung around the entrance to the accommodation.
- Paula Andrea (8/5): Nice and calm! - It was so clean and nice! Everything working as expected Maybe a little more of salt, pepper for the breakfast provided. Without car access it’s a little more complicated/expensive, however it was amazing our stay!
- Laura (9/5): Relaxing weekend away - Lovely place and great value for your money.
- Lachlan (10/5): our stay was amazing! the cottage was surrounded by beautiful wildlife and serenity! - the room was very clean and accommodative!! it was prepped with some nice bonuses and was very perfect for our stay nothing!! thank you so much
- Laura (10/5): -
- Cassandra (10/5): A beautiful location if you're looking for a relaxing getaway! - The property was clean, comfortable, and very cosy. Loved the fireplace and spa and overall had a lovely, homely vibe to it. Especially loved the view of the vineyard with all the wildlife around.
- Rizal (9/5): Great location and facilities - Great location. Fantastic facilities. Very relaxing
- Michelle (4/5): It was a great location for our needs and it was clean, just a few improvements needed. - The breakfast was great - thank you. There were no forks in the kitchen and no coffee. The chair on the front porch was broken. When we poured a bath, there was a lot of moss and grass that came into the tub.
- Thomas (10/5): Peaceful and quite, local wildlife is was awesome. - Brekky was delicious, place was clean and tidy. The whole property was beautiful! Nothing, it was all perfect.
- Said (7/5): - The Privacy and tranquillity The bird poop on the verandah
- Nick (8/5): Very quiet and tranquil outlook over a dam that attracted lots of birds and kangaroos. - We found eggs and bacon in the fridge which would have lasted 2 days for 2 people which was nice.
The positioning of the chalets meant that you were not overlooked on the patio or bothered by the neighbours. The chalet was a little dusty, probably not being used in a while.
The ducted air conditioning was ineffective in the bedroom section and a little confusing to use notwithstanding the instructions.
- Ibrahim Faisal (10/5): -
- geoffrey (8/5): -
- Lemwel (8/5): About breakfast not happy - Quite and peaceful Road going in and out
- Adam (4/5): Good enough if your on a budget, but disappointing - Nice view, spa was great and thank god the TV worked! The unsealed road in was terrible! The fireplace was not working. The cutlery was not clean. There was no BBQ as stated. The battery operated candles on the mantle didn’t work. Upon arrival our room was not made up as cleaners were not informed of our arrival 👎🏼👎🏼
- Vikki (6/5): - The estate surrounding the property was really lovely, with lots of wildlife (including kangaroos) around. We had a really lovely view from our villa. The property was spacious with room for parking alongside. We were given some supplies for breakfast plus a bottle of wine from the estate. The location was very peaceful and convenient for going on a wine tour in Hunter Valley. There was no WiFi in the property so we had to hotspot whilst we were there. There was no bug screen on the door at the back of the property which leads directly into the bedroom so some bugs were able to get in. The location is quite rural so a car or taxi is needed to access the estate and it's a short drive to the nearest town for supplies. We discovered the oven didn't work when we arrived so we were only able to use the hob.
- Dean (2/5): Underwhelmed - The view location proximity to the wedding venue Cleanliness, couldn’t use spa bath because of dirty water in pipes, provided breakfast (bread, bacon ) etc was all out of date at least by 5 days for the bread , it was expensive accommodation and didn’t live up to our expectations
Lots of cockroaches and insects no bin liner inside bin … bottle of wine but no complimentary drinking water bottles
- David (5/5): A little disappointing - It was a nice quiet location offering serenity and privacy, with lovely views of the lake and the vineyards on the property. The place was pretty well equipped and the check in check process nice and easy. Unfortunately villa 4 (not sure about the other villas) had a terrible bed. Old and saggy and to be honest I don’t think I’ve ever slept in a worse bed. Some of the outdoor furniture was in a pretty ordinary state too. We had no bbq at our villa which was a shame and the pool at the property was unclean / unusable.
- Cathy (6/5): - Roomy, nice views Air Con not working in bedroom. Bathroom exhaust fan not working.
Maybe needs better cleaning.
- Catherine (10/5): -
- Bryant (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing - Breakfast supplied was lovely the complementary wine was very nice
The location was perfect so lovely sitting on the patio overlooking the little dam
Very quiet and peaceful Advertised a bbq but was not able to find
- Robert (9/5): -
- Kylie (10/5): Peaceful relaxing place to escape and relax with great amenitites and cleanliness. - The breakfast goodies were amazing!! Such a lovely gesture!! Nothing to fault - property was amazing and views were awesome!
- Hurtz (9/5): We enjoyed a nice peaceful weekend - location was good for us, attended a wedding near by. It was a nice quiet, secluded place and very picturesque. Just a short drive to cafe's Only downfall was dirt roads on either side to access property
- Eleanor (5/5): Beautiful location and property, with great hosts - Beautiful views, quiet and peaceful. Lovely food left in the fridge for us. Self contained, easy to access. Located in the heart of the hunter valley, easy to travel around. Hosts provided lots of good recommendations for our visit :) Couches dusty - couldn’t comfortably sit if you have dust allergies. No wifi, poor phone reception especially in bad weather (completely off grid). Large spiders in bedroom, on/in/under the bed - hard to sleep when you’ve seen large spiders. Multiple wasp nests around the building.
- Kim (10/5): -
- Rick (7/5): -
- Ashleigh (10/5): A peaceful getaway in the beauty of the Hunter Valley - Great location, incredibly peaceful, great communication with owners
- Maria (5/5): Not the ideal location - Was lovely to have breakfast items provided Was disappointed with the dirt road getting to the location not great for a new car
- Isabelle (9/5): Fabulous location, perfect to recharge and connect - Location, convenience of the provided breakfast items, comfortable bed, clean Missed tissues on bedside tables, maybe upgrade the coffee situation
- Joseph (9/5): A great relaxing weekend. - Nice spacious clean Vila. Breakfast options were great and plentiful
- Liz (10/5): - The views and quietness as able to relax
Breakfast we were spoiled with choice
- Trevor (9/5): - Great location, private and peaceful. Well appointed cottages and we loved the open fireplace!
- Koutropoulos (8/5): -
- Jeni (9/5): - Quite, pretty, relaxing!
- Gonzalez (9/5): Mid Winter Getaway - The cabin was well appointed and spacious. The view, though we experienced a lot of rain, was picturesque and tranquil. We had a very relaxing stay and would recommend it to everyone. Old North Road leading to Broken View Estate is in need of repair and paving. A warning regarding the possibility of flooding over the Black Creek causeway would have been appreciated. Saturday night, we arrived at the causeway and noticed it was under 1m of water so we turned back. I was very sad to find out the following day, that the Mini I flashed my headlights to, to warn them, got swept away.
- Sean (9/5): It was a relaxing retreat, well maintained and quite serene. - It was a comfortable bungalow with lovely grounds around it. Private despite all of the other bungalows being occupied. Quiet with lots of wildlife, water foul, kangaroos other birdlife. It was a bit further out from amenities than I thought with a stretch of dirt road.
- Salesi (10/5): - Perfect location for a relaxing and peaceful weekend getaway! the room came with everything we needed and more. Great value for money and amenities were top quality. Would definitely book here again. Nothing
- Julie (10/5): Loved the location and it had everything we wanted. Thanks for a peaceful place. We will definitely be back - The location is beautiful, so quiet and peaceful. Loved it and will be back again. NA
- Jo Daniels (8/5): Quaint getaway - The spa bath was amazing.. Not as luxurious as expected for the price.
- RENEE (10/5): - The Villas were lovely, beautiful, peaceful spot. Loved waking up both morning seeing Kangaroo's around the property. The unsealed road coming up to the property.
- Joon Sing (10/5): We had enjoyed our stay. - Picturesque scenery, quiet, responsible owner, fireplace, breakfast, Rose wine, parking I wish the fireplace can be covered/sealed. I was hoping there will be cooking oil (I used butter from fridge). Maybe the TV can be upgraded with Netflix :)
- Clare (10/5): Great value, great stay, very welcoming and proactive hosts. - Loved the both villa itself and the location. I found the villa warm and comfortable and each one was very private, set away from neighbours.
We had generous breakfast supplies and nibbles left for us along with a very nice gift of wine which was enjoyed sitting outside watching the birds and kangaroos around the property.
Its not a new property and it is a rural location but it was perfect for us! Nothing!
- Maryanne (10/5): Well equipped cabin in a beautiful loction. - The cabin was in a peaceful location near a lake. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast items and two bottles of wine were much appreciated. The cabin was spacious and warm with firewood provided. Check-in was easy and communication was good. The cabin is located within driving distance of many wineries. Liked everything about the property.
- Peter (9/5): Comfy place for a visit - Great size cabin, very comfortable and well appointed.
- Kirsty (8/5): Very good - Amazing Sunset and in the perfect location. More firewood please and an exhaust for cooking
- Natalie (7/5): A romatic stay with gorgeous sunsets and sunrises - The private Villa’s were amazing! The fireplace and spa bath was very relaxing. The breakfast hot and cold was a spoil on arrival as well as the bottle of wine.
We will be back! N/A
- Malika (10/5): Fantastic location. We will be back for sure - What an amazing location, set in the vineyard surrounded by the resident Kangaroos
Our stay was peaceful and tranquil. The open fire was an added bonus, which made it more special.
- Candace (10/5): A great weekend escape that’s not to far away form the main part of town. - While this is not 5 star accommodation for the price we paid for a weekend stay this was excellent value and everything we wanted plus a few nice extras too!
The staff there were helpful when needed. Breakfast supplies were great and we loved the spa, fire place and the views are stunning 😍 If I had to be super picky the pillows could have been a bit more comfy. But that’s a personal thing. So nothing really!
- Joanne (7/5): Good -
- Anai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kore (9/5): Superb -
- Kate (7/5): Peaceful, quiet cottage away from main activities in the area. Very quiet setting. - Nice room and peaceful location. Dirt road in was full of potholes.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzanne (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable Have to pay for additional firewood.
- 8k (9/5): Superb -
- Joao (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location and facilities. Was a very relaxing stay for me and my partner. We also loved the small touches of the complimentary food and wine. If you want a place to recharge and get away from the hustle and bustle but would still like to do some exploring of the region, then this would be a wonderful place to stay.
- Mrfrankp (7/5): Good - The location was serene, the villa was cosy and well equipped. Some of the breakfast items were out of date, and items were opened and partly eaten.
- Michelle (6/5): Dissappinted this time round! (Second stay) - This was my Fiancé and I second stay (stayed here around 3 or 4 years ago) here as we absolutely loved it the first time! We Love the picturesque Estate, it’s a great location and Easy access. We were really disappointed this time round as the Villa was very dusty and cob webs everywhere! We were also treated to breakfast included in our Booking.com booking and to our surprise there was out of date coles Mediterranean olive mix in the fridge and an open pane di casa bread which was as stale and hard as a brick.
- Patrick (8/5): Very good -
- Kerrie (6/5): Photos look great. It’s all there but maybea little tired - Bathroom. Especially under floor heating in bathroom Mattress
- Yanyan(lydia) (10/5): Amazing get away place. - Everything, beautiful location, serene nature, quiet and peaceful. The spa is amazing…
Definitely coming back Nothing
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Lovely location with wildlife very close. Kitchen facilities need a refresh. Stove top was sketchy and utensils, pots and pans need replacement. Hot water was a little hit and miss, but overall for our 3 night stay the place was just what we needed.
- Michael (10/5): Very comfortable and quiet stay. - Very roomy and all you need for a great trip away are here. Great location as a base camp to explore the Hunter Valley. Even got offered an extra night at no charge. There wasn't anything we didn't like.
- Erin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicki (9/5): A fantastic spot to enjoy quality, down time away from the city. Very friendly and accommodating owners too! - Loved how homely and private it felt. Despite being in the middle of 5 villas, you never saw or heard anyone else due to the proximity between them. Heaven! Very minor wear and tear, none of which impacted our stay.
- Adela (8/5): A beautiful weekend away, would recommend - Lovely situated property, incredibly picturesque and well maintained. Loved the welcome hamper and kitchen necessities - such a gorgeous touch, and was really appreciated! A few stains on the bed linen, and the laminate floor in the kitchen needed some maintenance.
- Wayne (9/5): Fantastic would recomend Broken Veiw to family and friends. - Location and facilities were great. Nothing all was good.
- Stojkovski (8/5): Very good - The views were amazing. Great location, wildlife. Very relaxing. Breakfast and bottle of wine were lovely addition.
We would come back. A little maintenance around the property. Beds were a little hard. So many insects that they covered the path outside our door.
- David (10/5): This was a birthday gift for my wife and it was a wonderful stay - This is a great option for accommodation, clean, well furnished, comfortable cottage. A peaceful location set among the green fields.
We were provided with a lovely breakfast.
The location was close enough to lots of vineyards and restaurants but still remote giving a quiet setting
- Riley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dana (8/5): Nice country stay - Very quiet, nice breakfast and wine provided, nice view, large and private unit. Some parts of the property could do with a spring clean to spruce it up a little
- Fraser (8/5): Location Location Location - Wonderful and relaxing
Great location but out of the main thoroughfare
- Georgia (9/5): Beautiful Stay in Hunter Valley with Stunning Views & Thoughtful Touches - We had a great stay at this estate in Hunter Valley while attending a wedding at Squires. The location was ideal—very close by—which made everything super convenient. The staff were helpful with transport suggestions, which was much appreciated.
The house itself was beautiful—clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The large living area and outdoor seating made it a perfect place to relax. One of the nicest touches was the fully stocked fridge for breakfast, something you rarely see anymore but made the stay feel extra welcoming.
Waking up to sunrises with kangaroos and horses in the garden was an unforgettable experience. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting the area! Nothing at all.
- Brasche (8/5): Very comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting - all good The spa bath, while it was great, lacked safety rails, not good for older or mildly disabled guests...a small fix needed.
- Davis (7/5): It was great. They were so helpful and obliging. - Location was great.
Breakfast good if stay is couple of days or 3 at the most. Laundry facilities.
- Stephen (7/5): Good - Quietness Pool out of action
- Lyndsey (10/5): Great experience. Very clean, very peaceful. Lovely for a gateway and enjoyed the breakfast the host left. Highly recomm -
- Shae (7/5): Good - The location was great, beautiful setting The bed was not very comfortable
- Laura (5/5): Nice property - The property was beautiful, picturesque, and quiet
The breakfast hamper is very thoughtful Lots of hornets nest around the cottage, on Windows bed was very hard innerspring mattress
Water was very smelly, possibly dead rat in the tank?
- Louise (8/5): Beautiful peaceful location . - Great choice of breakfast items to cater to our different tastes.Enough items for our entire stay. Place to hang the hand towel in bathroom .
Better provision than a slanted shelf in bathroom to place toiletries as items slid off into sink .
- Kerry (8/5): Peaceful, quiet and relaxing weekend away. - The checkin was easy and simple. The location is fantastic quite peaceful and relaxing. The properties outside area needs a little TLC.
- Roya (6/5): I did t know it’s so far from shops ,had to buy drinking water and breakfast for two days wasn’t enough. - Clean Too far from shops
Breakfast not good enough
- Shelby (8/5): Peaceful getaway - The owners were lovely and helpful. They provided breakfast foods which was great, and bottles of their own wine which is delicious. Peaceful and quiet location with nice views of the lake.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shabnam (10/5): Fantastic place for a quick city getaway - Location Could have been cleaner
- Antoinette (6/5): Nice for a once off, probably wouldn’t book again. - Quiet, decent sized spa, lovely breakfast/wine upon arrival Many insects coming in, poor quality of mattress. Both myself and partner have sore backs due to no support/old mattress
- Jane (10/5): A relaxing & comfortable stay. Met our needs perfectly. - Property was comfortable, well appointed & met our needs being close to a Wedding Venue we attended on one night.
Enjoyed the extra touches- complimentary wine, hot & cold breakfast options etc Didn’t stay long enough!
- Mrs (5/5): Average - The view Smelly
- Sharon (10/5): Absolutely perfect. - Peace and quiet, as well as providing every conceivable amenity required. Nothing.
- Luke (10/5): Relaxing, Romantic, intimate peaceful and pleasantly refreshing - Broken view estate exceeded all our expectations, from the breakfast selection to the fine details during our stay such as the picnic blanket everything was thought of to make our stay so pleasant, we will 1000% be Como g back again! Absolutely nothing this place was amazing!
- Tamara (10/5): Stunning scenery, beautifully kept cottage with generous breakfast provisions. Stunning outlook - Stunning location, generous breakfast provisions and a beautifully peaceful escape.
- Javad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (8/5): Quiet Couple Getaway - Setting was beautiful and quiet. Mosquitos even though we used screen doors all the time. Our Villa had the view of the dam hidden by tall plants .
- Kobie (6/5): Pleasant - Lovely neat little cottage, very peaceful property. Loved the wine and brekky items The noisy plubbers and the mosquito buzzing around inside our room even though we were very cautious not to leave the door open.
Would recommend to have non stick pans or oil for the eggs and some insect spray.
- Tina (6/5): Will not stay again - The view and easy access to other venues. Quiet. The spa was amazing No prior knowledge of having to cook our own breakfast. The way the website read, breakfast was provided. The gardens etc were very unkept, untidy and full of weeds
