Pool looked lovely and property animals. There was no oven. And tv dvd/recorder until wasn’t working. Jiffy firefighters and working lighter would be helpful to help start the fire.

The pool and grounds were beautiful and peaceful. Air con worked but it was not reaching the bedroom so bedroom was a little hot but it was 38 degrees outside

- Piet (3/5): Poor. - The location was good. Did not get the room I asked for which was a confirmed and prior paid booking. The changed room did not have the requesite bedding. It was specifically requested for a queen double and a king single but was unilaterally moved without prior notification to a room with a double bed and a trundle single. The pull out sofa bed was filthy and unuseable. There were cockroaches and a dead mouse in the laundry. The A/C was insufficient and excessively noisy. Remnants of open milk cartons were in the fridge.

- Catriona (9/5): Country Tranquility with character - The views were just spectacular. We loved sitting outside in the morning, hearing only the birds and spotting the Kangaroos. After exploring the local area in the day, the pool was a welcome relief come late afternoon before heading out for dinner. This is an older lodge, which we were expecting - so you should expect some rustic charm.

- Swanniejenn (10/5): Sunset at Owl Head Lodge - Fabulous large cottage with very high ceilings and lots of space. It is very quiet, on a property a few minutes drive from Gulgong. Full kitchen, with everything we needed. Coffee machine, with generous number of pods. Internet is Starlink - very good. Two spacious bedrooms. Huge bathroom, with a washing machine as well. Lounge & dining plenty of seats and lounges. I loved the cattle grazing on next doors property, that came to the fence one night, the 2nd night a lot of goats came. Third night no animals, but an amazing sunset, because of the clouds. Highly recommend this accommodation. Thank you .

We have travelled all over nsw and stayed in many places whilst travelling for kids sport and Owl Head is definitely one of our top favourites and would look to stay again. I would even take a girls trip out and spend a few days just hanging at the property. The fire pit was perfect for roasting marshmallows on our last night.

- francesorr (10/5): Owl Head Lodge, a place of comfort, peace and serenity that you will never want to leave - The glass house complex is uniquely amazing. The main glass cottage has a luxury bedroom with bathroom including bath, a central log fire, large kitchen and butlers pantry. The east and west units are also stand alone with a complete separate compact kitchen in each and their own bathroom with a view🤣. All three have Breakfast sachets, condiments, juice in the fridge, a pod coffee machine with plenty of pods plus a bar-b-cue. They can be booked individually or together. Outside are lounges, big table, smaller intimate table and chairs, a pool for summer and a view to make one never want to leave. There is also other separate accommodation nearby but all very private but close enough to be combined for a bigger group…….see online. At night the Milky Way is just brilliant. Gulgong is a quaint town a few kms away and has an extensive museum that will surprise you and you will need quite some time to see it all. Mudgee is 20 mins south. The peace and beauty of Owl Head Lodge is a place I will return to again and again.

The amenities were very good and provided bathroom towels and products were excellent. We were there in July and the air-conditioning did not work. The room was freezing. There was a small oil heater which was not enough to make it comfortable.

Enjoyed our short stay will definitely be back and would highly recommend it! - The beautiful scenery and location,how easy it was to book and how smooth it was to check in/out. The area we stayed in was very clean, and plenty of space for my little family. The location is on a massive farm which was amazing.

Weather was extremely cold, although sunny, with bitter winds and the room was wonderful to sit in, looking out at the gorgeous views. Nothing. All lovely.

In the smaller rooms where the rest of my family stayed, they could have been cleaner. Cobwebs and dust around the room. And we couldn’t find a sensor outside light for the furtherest room.

- Caroline (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing! - Location and views are absolutely amazing. We stayed in Glass Studio West, and it had everything we needed. The glass windows from top to bottom on both sides gave it a special touch. A very short stroll to the amazing pool and the firepit where you could also watch the beautiful sunrise. It's such a perfect spot if you wish to relax and get away from your busy lifestyle. It's definitely worth the stay, and I hope to be back!

- Liselotte (7/5): Amazing view and nice space but not clean and a lot of bugs - The cottage is very spacious and the outside view is great. Good bathroom and large kitchen. Great seating options outside. Aircon in the bedroom works really well. When we arrived there were dozens of dead and alive bugs and cockroaches all around, breadcrumbs under the table and spiderwebs around the furniture. It looked like it wasn’t cleaned well. We took the vacuum which is very old and works poorly and cleaned the dead bugs before we unpacked. This was not a nice start to our stay. The bed is very small (while there is plenty of space for a big bed) and one door to the outside area doesn’t open.

- Brittany (9/5): Beautiful Accommodation, Stunning Location - Beautiful location, lovely home! A great place to getaway! Excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities. We loved the visits from the goats in the back paddock and watching the sunrise and sunset from our back verandah. The bed was very uncomfortable and there were only very low pillows. I had to go and buy a pillow as I had such a sore neck the next morning. There were also bugs crawling around the house, perhaps a pest spray is needed. Not much privacy for couples in the Glass cottage.

- maryrB2570MD (10/5): What an amazing place to stay! - Every year we (as a group of 8 friends from school) go away for a 4 day weekend. This year we had the privilege of all coming home to Gulgong, to stay at Owl Head Lodge. Rob was so easy to deal with via phone & email & the place is just amazing. We had the Glass Cottage, the 2 Glass Studio's East & West & the Shearers Quarters West. We were welcomed with a bottle of Red, & settled in for our stay. The rooms are so beautifully presented, the Cottage had everything you could possibly need & all within a 5 min drive to town. With such a spectacular view, you could easily waste away a day just relaxing at Owl Head. When it's Gulgong's time again, we'll absolutely be back!

Will 1000% be staying again The larger accomodation for families in right at the top of the drive, no biggie but if you wanted to Use pool facilities you might have to drive down. It was teaming with rain for us so we didn’t miss it

Full self catering so make sure you bring supplies. You get your own bbq plus there is a place to make your own pizzas There was nothing we did not like.

- Judith (10/5): Luxury Rural Retreat - The rural location was lovely. We had a surprise upgrade to a beautiful cottage. Lots of places to sit outside with a glass of wine and enjoy the views. Nothing! Not sure if it would be so good if the property were full of noisy people. A large part of its charm was the tranquillity.
- Lynette (9/5): Fabulous country stay, beautiful experience with lovely vista. - I loved being in the country - there were birds in the garden, gorgeous Highland cattle and goats in nearby paddocks - it was a lovely country experience - the glass walls were a bonus. Just didn’t realise there was a dirt road to the property - not sure if I missed that info - was fine weather - not wet - so all good. But it was worth the effort - we have stayed before but did not remember the dirt road.
