The rooms could have a few more things. ie. the first room had reading lights but no bedside tables. The second room had bedside tables but no lamps or reading lights, also you had everything to make a cup of tea but in the Annex rooms there was no milk or a fridge to put milk in?

• Berlem_NZ (8/5): Must visit Hotel for your Rakiura Adventure - Great place to stay prior to and after Rakiura Track. Really helpful staff, great location on harbourfront close to ferry terminal. Bar and restaurant perfect stop for thirsty hungry trampers

The location can't be beat! it's right accross the street from the water, and has stunning views. Resturant offers classic kiwi style pub food. It was good. Cray fish was exceptional. The staff were happy to assist with storing one bag while we were away overnight tramping which was helpful!

Bar staff could have been friendlier. We were there for lengthy periods on a Friday night and again Monday afternoon (public holiday) and both occasions there were lots of tourists. Staff didn't give the impression they were overly fond of tourists in their small town

• Kaley (10/5): What a CUTE place! - This hotel is such a wonderful place to stay! The bar downstairs has such a fun atmosphere (but quiets down at a reasonable time). We ordered food multiple times and it always surpassed expectation! We stayed two nights - first in twin rooms and then in a queen room. Both set ups were very comfortable. When staying above the bar you have access to the living area upstairs that overlooks the bay, a perfect location to spend time on a rainy day! Nothing :)

• Wiebke (9/5): Hatte ich am Ende der Welt nicht erwartet 😀 - Super Lage, sehr zentral und sehr geräumig Unser Zimmer war sehr groß und hatte sowohl ein King Size Bett und ein einzelnes Bett. Auch Handtücher und Geschirr für 3 Personen. Trotzdem ließ es sich über Booking nicht für und Drei inclusive eines Teenagers buchen…. Wir hatten weder neuseeländisches Telefon noch Zeit, um das weiter zu klären und mussten leider 2 Zimmer buchen 🤷🏻‍♀️

• David (10/5): A traditional pub at its very best. - It was very clean and well maintained. Easy access to all that Oban has to offer. Friendly staff and very helpful. Don’t change a thing. It has atmosphere. It has community support. Absolutely loved it.
• Helena (8/5): A large room with kitchenette and bathroom in a great location. - Loved the location and the size of the room. Bed was comfortable. The kitchen venetian blind was in need of repair and a good clean. I could not open the blind and it did not fully reach the window sill.

We had a queen room in the annex with shared bathroom, tbh, we didn't see anyone else in our annex and there were 2 loos & 2 showers for 4 rooms, so not an issue. Fresh bath mats for each person available in the showers. Everything very clean. Food good in the restaurant and a great breakfast. Would recommend Nothing.

• Anne (5/5): - Nous avons apprécié l’emplacement. Très très bruyant. Notre chambre était placée juste au dessus du bar donc 2 nuits avec très peu de sommeil. De plus très mal isolé entre les chambres, le couloir etc. Heureusement que l’île est fantastique donc on oublie le peu de sommeil 😉

• Steve (8/5): A refuge needed after a hike. - Was all i expected and needed. Staff were frosty particular a guy who seemed I was always putting him out. Didnt seem like they appreciated anyone except the locals.
• Dorinde (9/5): - De locatie. Je loopt zo de boot af en het hotel binnen. De ligging met uitzicht op de haven is geweldig. We hadden kamer no1, zeer ruim en uitzicht op de haven en de zee. Douchen en toiletten op de gang, maar schoon en prima in orde. Oude vloerbedekking op de kamer

• SeniorKiwi (10/5): A unique location in beautiful harbour - The hotel is right on the beach on the main harbour which was walking distance to everything. Amazing! My tiny room with a single bed was perfect for me especially at the low price. There were lots of toilets and shower-rooms so i didn't have to wait ever. The lounge upstairs had an incredible view of the harbour and was a great place to meet and chat with other guests with the free tea and coffee provided. Staff were helpful. The pub downstairs was also another place to meet people, enjoy a drink and relax. The restaurant had good basic meals. The rooms are old-school but that's OK for the price. Not much. The continental breakfast was a bit basic but at $15 i suppose that's OK.

Очень грязное и старое ковровое покрытие в номере Старая мебель (из 1970 годов, а может и старше), однако это можно считать и плюсом - т.к. ровно в такой обстановке жили полвека назад. Дурацкие краны в раковине - отдельно горячей и холодной воды, т.е. без смешивания. Видимо тоже для антуража сохраняют так..

We had to wait a long time to check in as the one employee on duty was busy in the bar, but all was good and it did not take away from the overall experience.
