• Liam (5/5): Good stay, however issues with our friends booking ruined their plans. - The size and cleanliness of the room was great. The main lights in our room didn't work due to a blown fuse. There was still enough lighting available in the room, however still a point of note. We booked with our friends to attend the Hawkes Bay Marathon so the entire of Napier was booked out. Although there were no issues with our booking, 3 weeks before our stay, our friends were contacted by reception and advised their booking was cancelled due to "a significantly larger booking were looking for accommodation". Our friends were unable to find replacement accommodation due to such short notice as Napier was booked out so they had to travel back to Taupo after the race (not ideal). Incredibly poor form on the owners! Although our booking was not affected, I wouldn't book here again during a large event due to risk of cancellation. Not a great way to conduct business.

• Liz (4/5): One night stay not a good experience for the price - Location was good as there were shops and the supermarket in a 5min walk Wasn’t very clean at all. The rubbish was still there from last person that stayed and there was hair in the spa drain. Everything needed a good wipe down as it was dusty and lights had bugs and spider webs on them and it did not look anything like the photos on booking.com

• McFarlane (7/5): comfy once I guessed my room - the room, bed and cleanliness was excellent I advised I would be checking in late - there was no milk in the fridge, really after a long day, the least that could be done was some milk in the fridge. I used Booking.com for the first time - for the cheaper rate, but I could not access my messages from hotel management, the message system was ineffective, and no one would answer the phone. I only gained access to the lock box by fluke memory of using it in the past. It was actually really stressful. luckily there was only one key in the lock box, as I had no idea what my room was, a text would have been easier to access and a much nicer personal touch.

When we arrived back in our room the box was gone. I went downstairs and checked the Otto Bin and found the box with our contents inside.

All good . Just parking maybe parks could be numbered for each unit. Just a small problem with the next unit people using the spa bath well after 11pm.
• colie p (10/5): - Great location. Huge clean comfy rooms. The bath was amazing! Close to an amazing Thai restaurant, 5 minute walk. Family friendly. We booked one day later than we arrived, the staff were super accommodating, nothing a problem. Highly recommend!

• Ivan (5/5): Didn't get what was advertised - Nice location, big bath, spacious apartment. Rooms we got were different than those in the pictures (not renovated). Room was not ready by 2pm. Found hair in the bathtub. The door lock was broken, it was impossible to lock the apartment. Spa bath didn't work (we chose this motel only because of it). We reached out to management, but nothing was offered as compensation for not getting what was advertised other than an apology. We think a partial refund would've been fair.

• David (6/5): Room by the pool - Staff were friendly. Room was a good size. Parking right outside the room. We were originally allocated a Queen Studio but we had paid and booked a One bedroom unit. They then offered us a one bedroom unit buy the pool but not within the courtyard, which was ok. All courtyard rooms were full. It did mean more road noise as Kennedy road is a main road. Other small differences to what we had originally pirchased were, The shower was not separate from the bath. No DVD Player, No Seperate toilet and no welcome chocolates. Atleast they could still offer us a room, but someone else had been allocated to the room we had paid for.

• Zoe (8/5): Ideal units for the family - Staff were wonderful and friendly. Pool was great to use, although some of the chairs around it were unusable. Unit was a perfect size, very clean. Beds were too firm and not comfortable for sleeping- but they were very clean and looked inviting.
