- Slobodan (10/5): Great location, peaceful and quiet, well appointed accommodation, welcoming and friendly owners. Highly recommended for - We stayed in the very well appointed, spacious two bedroom accommodation with a loft above the master bedroom. Master bedroom is of a very good size with a comfortable double (queen?) bed. Smaller room has two comfortable single beds. We didn’t need to use the loft, but two people could sleep there as well, with the proviso of being able bodied in order to climb the steep stairs. There is everything provided that you might need in the kitchen and the bathroom. The view from the veranda is fantastic, plus you can see cattle, sheep, kangaroos and plenty of bird life which is a bonus if you have kids. Whilst the Booking.com website says there’s no Wi-fi, this isn’t correct. We had access to Wi-fi and our phone reception was good as well. We were provided with the firewood, including kindling, fire lighters and matches. The owners clearly thought of pretty much everything that would make our stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing really. The only thing I would question is the price of accommodation if we were to bring our older child, who decided not to come with us on this occasion. We had three adults and my younger child (3+1), if we had 3+2, the accommodation would have cost us double the amount we paid for 3+1, which I don’t understand, especially given there was a loft with two single beds or futons available.

- Quintus (9/5): Location and setting cant be beaten in the area. - Beautiful views and stillness. Just outside town so does have a forest or country feel to it. Kitchen has everything you need to cook. Shower doors would be great instead of a shower curtain if I really need to mention something.
- Bayer (10/5): -
- Caroline (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay
- Don (9/5): Great stay great view and comfortable - Great location, kitchen and fire place. No curtains on the main bedroom window and the TV sound was not good.
- Alex (7/5): -
- Debbie (10/5): Lovely chalet and super helpful hosts - The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Nothing - we loved our stay
- Joanne (9/5): Exceeded our expectations! - Peaceful location, beautiful views and perfectly clean. Well organised accommodation and very helpful hosts.
- Taseska (8/5): - Not too far from town but also felt like a nature farm stay. Beautiful nature, so peaceful and relaxing It was a bit cold for our liking being summer
- Sheila (10/5): -
- Lauren (10/5): Generous and private space with a spectacular outlook. Had everything we needed. - Private, beautiful outlook, generous
- bart (10/5): Heerlijk! - Uitzicht! Mooie cabin , rustig gelegen
- LIAM (10/5): A farmland by the sea paradise - Such a beautiful picturesque location. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so calm in my life. The view over the farmland is breathtaking. The photos don’t do it justice. Might just be subjective but I really loved this place. It was exactly what we needed. The facilities were adequate for our stay. Honestly I wouldn’t care if the place was falling apart, the location alone makes it 5 star. Nothing
- Samuel (9/5): Beautiful location and lovely stay - Chalet and Staff were wonderful. Everything was great
- Linda (10/5): -
- brooke (10/5): - Beautiful grounds and spacious villa I’m not sure. If I had to say something would be cooling option as we had two very hot days and no cooling although it would be rare to need it
- Cheryl (9/5): If I come back would stay here again - It was 3 minutes drive so very quick but also very secluded with lovely views. Couches were very comfortable as were beds
- marie (10/5): We had an amazing stay. Barbara and Raymond are really nice and helpful if you need any informations. - The view from the chalet was amazing. Close to the town Be aware , on Sunday there is a sporting clay shooting club near by. Could be quite noisy
- Joerg (10/5): One of my favourite places in the world!! - I have travelled a lot all over the world on 6 continents but this might be No.1 on my personal list of top places:
this cosy but still very roomy chalet, the view overlooking the green pasture like out of a painting, the utterly quietness and last but not least Barbara and Raimund, the lovely and helpful owners of the place! Having to come all the way to the opposite site of the world to find such a wonderful place ;)
- Helen (10/5): Superior in every way - Location, ambiance, spacious, super quiet, fresh flowers on the table, barbecue on deck, seating on the deck, the friendly cows, kitchen extremely well appointed, kookaburras both mornings, undercover carport, maps and brochures provided Not a single thing. It was just amazing and we were sorry to leave
- Charlotte (9/5): - Excellent location and view! Spacious as well.
- Fowler (10/5): Amazing place to stay - Incredible view Nothing
- Bernard (8/5): Relaxing couple of days in very nice location, not far from Augusta town - Older, but very well maintained property, in a very nice location. Everything satisfactory.
- Oxbrow (8/5): Happy but could have given us milk for tea. - Having to climb a ladder to my bed.
- Pam (9/5): Perfect location to enjoy Augusta. - Homestyle comfort! All fine
- Sriyan (10/5): - Location and setting
- Barbara (10/5): - The chalet was great . Plenty of light and wood fire all set up. Full cooking facilities and when one burner on the oven did not work they came within five minutes to fix it . Fantastic customer service The bed was not supportive. A mattress topper does not work when the mattress is well past its use by date
- Yvonne (10/5): Our lovely Getaway 😍 - A Wonderful Stay, everything we needed was there, a perfect location and the Chalet was well equipped Didn't like that we had to leave 😀
- Kerry (10/5): -
- Byrnes (10/5): - It's by far the best accommodation we have had on our trip around Australia. Been on the road for 6 weeks. Will recommend to everyone 👍 👌
- Christopher (7/5): - Some good shows. Saw kangaroos and love the loft. Nice and quiet/peaceful. The double bed was so soft you melt into it.
😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎 I thought it would be bigger and a little bit of glitches in the tv.whith no Wi-Fi.....and bugs a small spider 🕷and a cockroach ....
- Eilidh (10/5): Peaceful. - Very peaceful property, enjoyed the outdoor seating and loved the fireplace. Nothing!
- Joanne (10/5): Our stay at the chalet was truly a memorable experience with nature. - We had an outstanding stay at the chalet, thanks to the clean rooms, excellent staff, and inviting atmosphere that combined to create a truly memorable experience. The attic room and fireplace in the living room were cozy, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed, and perfect for winter evenings. Ideal location for nature lovers. Weak wifi connection.
- Amy (10/5): -
- Allan (10/5): Cow paradise - Peaceful and easy. About a 5-8min drive in to town . Lovely view upon waking Mosquito bit my ass
- Roland (9/5): Superb - Location ideal and views unsurpassed. Clean and homely. Nothing to complain about
- Nicolaas (10/5): Exceptional - As described, absolutely lovely location.
- Tracy (8/5): Cosy cabins in a beautiful rural setting with views of the inlet - Lovely cabins in a rural setting a short drive from town
- Quintus (9/5): Superb - Sparkling clean and neat. All utensils that you need available in kitchen. Beautiful views and just out of town to get that country feel. Unfortunately the main double bad mattress was way too soft for 2 adults, so had to swop with the kids. Other than that I would score the spot a 10.
- Elaine (10/5): Lovely chalets, with views and a fireplace - Love these chalets, located just outside of town. They all have the most exquisite rural views, complete with rolling green hills, moo-ing cows, skippies and sheep, with distant water views! It’s so whisper quiet, you can hear the flapping of the birds wings. In the morning we were treated with a fantastic sunrise! The only fault would be the wifi, which was weak and slow but phones worked without it.
- Nadezda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cyril (9/5): Superb - Beautiful setting overlooking pasture and forest. Spotlessly clean and the owners were very helpful. The TV - terrible sound.
- Michael (10/5): A perfect stay in the midst of a peaceful, beautiful natural setting. - Excellent in all aspects!
- Rene (7/5): Gorgeous place to be, rustic, not glam - Gorgeous surroundings, spent hours gazing at the cows, sheep and roos from the back patio. Loved making a fire at night. Bedrooms were small and stuffy, beds uncomfortable, blankets a bit old and threadbare. Due for some new and fresh bedding. Lots of bugs in the bathroom, shower curtains didn't keep the water in, especially for kids, need screens.
- Narelle (9/5): This is a fabulous spot close to August and great for a couple or family. - Great location, lovely and quiet, place set up very nice
close to town
Hosts were great - good communication
would come back again for sure Loft space not suitable for really little kids but great for older ones - shame this space isn't a little easier to access, we didnt use the space
Our cabin shows as 3 bedrooms but whole only sleeps 4 - probably not as clear/easily missed on booking.com , if we booked direct with property owners we would have known and tried for larger cabin
- Kerry (8/5): Perfect location - Beautiful quiet location. We spent a wonderful Easter family get together at the chalets. The owners Barbara and Raimund were very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and all queries and questions answered promptly. The chalets are well appointed and have everything you could possible need. There was nothing to dislike about the property it had everything we needed.
The only thing I would possibly mention would be that there were no plastic cups, plates or bowls for the little ones.
- Phillip (6/5): Pleasant -
- Elliott (9/5): Superb - Quite great view and comfortable
- June (8/5): Very good -
- Kiya (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay, very relaxing in an awesome spot! We will definitely be back
- Jacinta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tiggersuki (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Augusta - Absolutely love this place. Excellent position just outside town. Great setting with a lovely view over farmland towards the river. Wake up to singing magpies and kookaburra. Comfortable chalet for a couple. Good facilities. The only thing we don't like is the room upstairs accessed by a very steep ladder 😒. Very very hot up there if sun has been shining.
- Joanne (8/5): Lovely quiet and in country overlooking the paddocks and cows - Quiet and relaxing Na
- Forbes (9/5): Great location, clean and well appointed chalet - Very quiet and peaceful location. The chalet was well appointed, clean, and maintained. Nothing
- Michelle (9/5): Recommended - the views, privacy, a swings for the kids some amenities are old/broken, old linens
- Terrence (9/5): Had an excellent time in Augusta. The Chalets are in a peaceful setting close to the town. -
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Brooke (9/5): Superb -
- Wenona (10/5): Great place to unwind and enjoy a holiday in Augusta. - We really loved our stay here. The view from the chalet was great - it was magical overlooking paddocks and the river in the distance. The chalet itself was great too - perfect for a family holiday.
- Rocco (8/5): Very good - The property was 'rustic' but clean, fresh air, views across to the river/ocean.
There is plenty of seating inside and outside.
Well stocked kitchen utilities. The main bedroom did not have curtains or a blind. There was an outside security roller blind, which I used. There is no air conditioning, a couple of fans, which we didn't use.
- Ian (9/5): Very relaxing. Augusta has a lot to offer wineries, good cafes/restaurants, beautiful coast. - Being able to sit on a balcony with a wonderful view over the farms, cows, kangaroos, sheep, birds, brilliant!
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Sian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Iain (8/5): Amazing location and great facilities. - The view and location. The phone reception/wifi/dvd player were a little hit and miss.
- Linda (10/5): it was a relaxing and beautiful place , we didn’t want to leave - it was clean and peaceful, the beds were so comfortable and the view was beautiful loved everything
- Deborah (7/5): Overall it was a lovely stay. The view from the balcony was superb. It was a delightful chalet. - I loved the location and the view as I was in Chalet 1 on the top of the hill. I couldn’t watch anything on the television as the wifi wasn’t very good and the aerial needed fixing. It was fixed on the day before my check out.
- Ilya (10/5): Exceptional - Awesome view and location
- Belinda (9/5): Perfect place to stay for a bit of peace and quiet out of Augusta town - It’s great to see this property back and open again! Lovely quiet spot to stay Nothing
- Thi (10/5): It was beyond our dream, feeling like we were in paradise - Superb location, nestled among tall trees with spectacular views of river, ocean and a vast field where cows, sheep, kangaroos and birds are always present. The landscape is a perfect picture. And yet, it’s only less than 3km from town.
Friendly and helpful host: the host, Barbara, is a very lovely, helpful and responsive lady.
Facilities are comfortable with a full kitchen equipped for all the cooking needs; plenty of pots and pans, kitchen utensils and crockery. Nothing we didn’t like about the property. Just wished we could stay much longer.
- Sharon (10/5): Amazing location, fantastic hosts, a lovely destination for a really special family holiday! - The location was incredible. The view from our porch watching kangaroos, cows and clouds go by, surrounded by the quiet of the bush was just out of this world!
The 3 bedroom chalet suited our 3 generation family holiday perfectly - complete with a loft for the pre-teen :)
And Barbara and Raimond were just so delightful. It was a perfect short stay, we wish we could have stayed longer! Truly nothing could have been better, it was all perfect. Complete with an open fire and board games to keep us laughing at night. A perfect family bonding holiday.
- Tania (10/5): Lovely location and very comfortable. Cleanliness and attention to detail was very much appreciated -
- Caroline (10/5): The perfect place for a quiet, comfortable relaxing time - The cottage was spacious, well laid out, everything you needed in a kitchen was provided. Beds were comfortable, shower was nice and warm. Waking up with the sound of the birds and the soft sound of the breeze through the Sheoaktrees. Also wonderful to have rainwater as drinking water. The location is perfect with amazing views over paddocks and the Blackwood river estuary and forests nearby. Only a short drive to beautiful Augusta with a fresh fish supply shop along the way. Overall we had a wonderful and relaxing stay here and would certainly come back. And above all, the hosts were very friendly and helpfull. Perhaps add a cosy lampshade in the sitting area.
- Rachael (10/5): Family Birthday - The Chalet was perfect for our families. A beautiful weekend making precious memories we will treasure. Nothing
- Rajesh (8/5): Home away from home. BYO toiletries - Excellent scenery, fully equipped kitchen Internet connection was not stable/slow
- Oxbrow (6/5): comfortable and clean. - the cabin was clean and the beds were very comfortable. the property was close to the golf course where we were playing for the two days. i booked a three bedroom cottage with 3 double beds and 1 single bed, we were given 2 bedroom plus loft with 1 double bed 2 single beds plus 1 bed in loft. fortunately the youngest person in our group was only 71 and able to climb the ladder to sleep to sleep upstairs.

- Wendy (9/5): Amazing and peaceful. - Loved the setting of the chalets and the open fire. Not a huge issue, but would have loved if facecloths had been supplied. Also, it appeared on booking.com that the 3br chalet had a bath when it does not - would be good to clarify this.

Owners very accommodating when I needed anything that was missed in chalet they provided it within minutes once I requested it.
And owner set fire place up for us 2 nights which was amazing. The recycling bin wasn't at the chalet .but the 10c bin was.
If we got to fire wood shed that's were the recycling goes.
We also found mouse droppings in oven.on microwave . And on bed sheets .
Owner called straight away to try sort it out .but then said 'it's that time of year and if you leave the door open they will come in ' which we didn't.
