• Steve (4/5): Mixed - Receptionist on arrival was fantastic. All staff very engaging. Our rooms were clean but very small. There appears to be two types of rooms the better ones are separate to the lesser ones. I think we were allocated rooms that were overflow or something and there seemed to be a few permanent residents who were a bit noisy first night. The manager sorted this and second night was fine.

• Desmond (9/5): clean comfortable accomodation - Clean, comfortable spacious rooms. Could hear the TV next door at 4 am.
• Chrissy and David (7/5): Overall good and convenient for either heading north or south. - Super comfortable bed, best we’ve had in six weeks of daily driving and different stays. Room very clean, roomy and comfortable, sofa supportive and comfortable. Our room was advertised as “accessible” however though it may be for some mobility challenges but certainly not for a wheelchair, plus toilet is in a very tight space. Including this to inform anyone who needs more accessibility than we did to just be aware and make inquiries before booking. Guests also have to ask for crockery and cutlery as only two mugs and two teaspoons and some glassware were in the room with a note saying guests must ask at reception even though there is a microwave - also only mentioning as we’ve never come across this before and would be annoying to get in late and expect the usual provisioning.

• Y2219CGsues (10/5): PLEASANT AND FRIENDLY - GREAT ROOMS. - Very Pleasant experience which started from the time I checked in with a warm and friendly greeting on arrival - Thanks Ladies!!! Had booked in for a standard unit but on arrival was advised I had been upgraded which was a lovely surprise and gesture. Walked into the room, more like ballroom with King and Single bed, exceptionally clean and everything you need to either a long or short term stay. Suited my requirements as far as distance to the venue I was attending at Stockton Bowling Club and you have the choice over driving back into Newcastle over Stockton Bridge or down to the wharf at Stockton and take the Ferry across to Newcastle. Although on the main road noise wasn't an issue. Definitely good value.

• lynetteanneb (8/5): Great value and great rooms. - We stayed here prior to an early morning flight to Bali. The rooms are spacious, the bed comfortable and the staff welcoming. We were able to leave our car on site and took advantage of the shuttle service to the airport the next morning. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again. The only negative is that there is no cutlery, crockery or wine glasses in the room. You have to go and ask for them from reception. I thought that was weird.

• kimsW4547IH (10/5): Our Stay at Fern Bay Motel. - We always stay at The Fern Bay Motel on our stop over when we are going away, we love it here. The motel is clean, the office staff will go out of their way, to help you with anything you need whilst you are staying here. The rooms are air conditioned on the wall TV, with WIFi, also with a kitchenette, kettle, toaster coffee, tea, sugar, and complentary little bottles of milk. . If you need anything else you only have to go to office and ask. I would reccomend The Fern Bay Motel to anyone for a quick stop over, or longer. This is the only place we stay when travelling through. 🙂
