- Tongatapu (10/5): An absolutely unforgettable stay, everything was flawless, from the atmosphere to the facilities. I didnât want to leave - đđđđđđđđđđ Staff were incredibly amazing!! Location right next to the beach!! Must BOOK! Best location in Bowen!! Such a breeze, our words are understatements! We booked in from Mount Isa, and arrived late. Their team ensured to inform us through SMS & email on how to allocate our room key in a secure lock box with a unique code. (My room 12) Debbie, Bec & Becs husband were so lovely! Rooms were immaculately tidy, rooms had extra blankets in the cabinets. Everything you could ever ask for. Bec set out a small bbq and had invited us to join, such a family and friendly environment. Felt as if we never left home. Highly recommend this place! Flagstaff hill 2 mins after the round about on your left, right in front of Harbour is a fish wharf. Town is 5 mins away, the best stay Iâve ever experienced. Weâve even encountered great locals and other stayers in the compound who have given us great locations to visit! Such a great environment to have your family, friends visit. Definitely coming back! Thank you Harbour Lights for an amazing welcoming stay! 10 STARS!đđđđđ Whatâs not to like!!
- Jim Thornley (5/5): Basic but we'll located - Location Cabin was pretty basic and small. I don't like having to sit on either a table and chair or the bed. I also detest a sign telling me if I don't wash up I will be charged a cleaning fee. Surely in this day can't they cover this fee in the accommodation charge. If not just increase the tariff to cover the cost. It just seems in appropriate.

- Tarn Sparrow (8/5): Great value for money stay!! - The location was absolutely stunning, straight across the road from both the beach and harbour and an extremely short walk to pubs, cafes etc Staff were super lovely and the bed was also really comfortable to sleep in. Cabin had all the essentials. Could not use the tv (except for ABC) so no footy for us and some of the frying pans could do with an upgrade and our screen door was unlockable đ„č

- Anjlee (8/5): Fab quiet space - It was a nice place to stay and having been in hostels for 2 months before it was a welcomed break to have a comfortable bed in a big room. Staff was so so nice and friendly, really helped us out with local recs and luggage storage which was really nice. It was a quiet place but easy to walk to the high street and some other shops. The only slightly annoying thing was the wifi dropped in and out a lot so just be aware of that if you are relying on it!

- Shannon (4/5): Wouldnât recommend. - What I did and didnât like⊠Location was good but wouldnât stay again. Arrived after hours, office closed and no after hours phone number. There was no bedding provided for second kids bed despite booking for two adults and two kids. The aircon was not working, fan only worked on full blast. Dirty floor with bugs & spiders, mouldy pillows and towels need replacing as they look grotty! We had driven all day and wanted to get to bed, not ideal at the end of a long car journey! On the plus side we explained our experience and were refunded. As above.

The cabin is well equipped and clean, and is a relatively quiet area. I'd definitely stay again. Unfortunately the blinds tend to retract quite high, so I was left having to use a kitchen utensil to try and pull them down.

- Dawn (7/5): - Almost every thing We could not book in unÌtill 2.30 they advise closed 1 to 2 but didn't open till 2.30 then there was a line up and receptionist took her time talking it was hot and we didn't get booked in until 3pm

There are much better options in - There was nothing that I liked about the room or the staff When I arrived the air conditioner wasn't working and the room felt like it was 75 degrees. The room had an overpowering smell of bleach to such an extent that I could not stay in the room; I had to open the door and all windows to air out the room. I went and spoke to the reception who made me wait around 20 mins before coming to look at my room. The lady was rude, had no regard for the state of the room was not interested in swapping my room event through there was multiple other rooms available. I would never stay at Burning Lights ever again.
- Christian (7/5): Insgesamt wirkte die Unterkunft lieblos und ĂŒberreguliert, mit wenig Gastfreundlichkeit und kaum FlexibilitĂ€t â fĂŒr uns - Wir haben dieses Hotel aufgrund der doch guten Bewertungen gewĂ€hlt, wurden jedoch leider enttĂ€uscht. Die Unterkunft liegt auf einem Campingareal und die Zimmer wirken eher wie schlichte Container â soweit in Ordnung, aber insgesamt etwas lieblos und mit wenig AtmosphĂ€re. Was uns wirklich gestört hat, war die stark regulierte, wenig gastfreundliche Haltung. Schon kleine Dinge wie ein zusĂ€tzlicher Mini-MilchbehĂ€lter fĂŒr den Kaffee bei einem Aufenthalt von zwei NĂ€chten waren nicht möglich. Insgesamt wirkte alles sehr streng und unflexibel, fast schon wie ein âRegelwerkâ, das den Aufenthalt unnötig unentspannt macht. FĂŒr uns fehlte es an WĂ€rme, Servicebereitschaft und Gastfreundlichkeit. Wir wĂŒrden hier nicht nochmals buchen.

- Wendy (7/5): Iâve stayed at a few places in Bowen over the past 25 years, this was the cleanest and best location. - Proximity to everything. Itâs quiet which we needed because we had long days working during our stay. I feel the customer service could be better. I received an email to say my booking canceled and no explanation as to why, when I asked why they said i had a child on my booking, which I didnât. If I hadnât asked why it was cancelled I never would have known. I was then asked about it again when I arrived if it was definitely just myself and my husband like they didnât trust what I had written in my email to them.

- derek (1/5): Beware of dragons - There was nothing to like after phoning for 2 hours with no reply to phone calls or voice mails finally at 2.30 pm and waiting outside recieptuin for an hour to a charming lady that told me i would have to wait untull she had hung the washing after waiting a further 10 mins she arrived so i asked the question is this really how you treat customers to her reply theres the gate leave and dont speak to me like that and walked away so dident get past reiception so have no conment on facilties and also never got a refund so had to find a nother hotel in bowen not a good day so i guess if you can get past any dragons you might find out what the place is like good luck
- Janelle (8/5): - The location is great, the room was spotless, park staff were very friendly and helpful.The best spot to stay in Bowen when looking for somewhere close to the foreshore and town. The parking for the motel style unit's 101 to 106 was a little confusing, needs to be marked out better. A suggestion would be to please supply green tea bags as an option.
