- Glenn (3/5): Won’t be back. - The Manager & Staff were very nice. PowerPoints behind bed didn’t exist or had a sticker on that it had been disconnected, no good if you have a cpap machine. Window in bathroom couldn’t close and room was freezing. Air conditioner was so loud and whining noise & couldn’t use it. Hand towel was dirty but folded up so thought it was new.

Toilet and shower very poor paint peeling of walls, shower area window timber rotted shower thumped , water pulsed and kepted getting hotter to dangerous level, lighting in this area very poor.

- rochester (10/5): room was excellent shame staff let it down - elegant, privacy between rooms, like 2 bedroom apartment with space, 2 double beds 2 single beds. very lovely , everything was available for your stay room 21. on arrival the establishment was very busy. didn’t have a key with our name on it so person just wrote our. room number on a key and slapped it on the counter. Greeting was very poor

- Gary (4/5): Disappointing. - It was well priced. Location was close to the centre of town. Tea and coffee making facilities. Comfortable bed. The carpark is too small and creates chaos with cars coming in from both directions trying to find a spot. My room had minimal furnishings, eg no bedside lighting. The vanity tap was broken, I couldn’t turn the aircon/heater on because it made a loud noise and the bathroom was almost unusable because of an open grill roof that had dirt and other debris above you. (See photo)It also had an unpleasant smell. I will not be returning.

Paint was peeling in the bathroom, evidence or recent mould in the ceiling of the bathroom. The shower head would constantly fall off, the water from the shower would stop resulting in having to turn the taps off and then on again.

- Linda (3/5): Schitt’s Creek meets Golburn - Easy to find The bare minimum needs to be met. It looked like I’d entered the set of Schitts Creek. No door on the bathroom Sink which was in the bedroom. Door nobs missing. A fan dial but no fan. Loud music on a Wednesday night till after 12. The pictures on the app were not consistent with the actual room. There was not even a spoon to stir my tea

Hotel staff should have shut them up or turfed them out. Very noisy around the Beer garden on a sat night till too late

The 1st room was old, 1960s needs renovation, would have stayed in the Astor Suites next door for a bit more money if I had known.

- Cassandra (5/5): It’s ok if you just want an overnight stay, not good for longer - The onsite pub and off street parking were great, the bed was really comfy too The bathroom smelled of mildew, the rooms are in desperate need of updating, there was no shampoo or body wash provided just hand soap, you can tell the hotel is old, while it looked very clean the bathroom did not smell clean, we did not use the shower due to this, it also has minimal light in the shower so after arriving after dark it would have been dangerous to shower even if it didn’t smell

The lack of toilet seat, light fittings, sink grate and listening to the click of the dont walk signal outside our window all night. No sink in bathroom. No towel rails or anywhere to put shampoo etc in shower but you could see where they used to be.

- Lai (6/5): Good comfortable stay for 1 night. - Location was central. The room smelt of smoke from previous guest smoking in the room. In the morning, it took a while for the hot water to come on.
- Nell (7/5): Good location - The location is good with an easy walk to cafes, shops and restaurants/pubs. The room was a good size. Laundry facilities are available to guests staying longer than 2 nights upon request. The bathroom door would get stuck, and there was no hand towel rail next to the sink, which was located in the bedroom rather than in the small bathroom. You also couldn't wash your face or hands without making a mess due to the tap's placement and the lack of a surface for the soap. The room lacked hanging space, although it would be easy to install a shelf with hooks. Additionally, there was not enough parking for all the guests, although street parking was available.

A basic necessity for a motel stay I would have thought.

- Sandra (9/5): The staff were amazing, the room was clean but the ensuite was disappointing. - It was central to the Main Street and had an onsite restaurant There was no handrail, tray for soap or shampoo in the ensuite and the basin was in the main room.
