- Barbara (8/5): Comfy room and a delicious breakfast - The room was very spacious with everything we could want. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and super delicious. The location was lovely in many ways but it was difficult to find the entry at night time.

When we arrived back from dinner, it was great to be able to make tea in the dining room, with a selection of homemade lemon slice and cookies on offer, in case we felt like a late night snack! Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast on the verandah outside our room was a particular highlight, with fresh produce and a pot of coffee. Our host, Alison, was lovely and very accommodating, whilst also giving guests their space. We had our border collie with us (we stayed in one of the pet-friendly rooms) and she felt very at home too! Would love to stay again next time we are in the area. We loved everything.

Very pet friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and well presented with sweet and savoury options. We didn't have eggs, although they were offered each day. Our hosts were very obliging and friendly, making us feel right at home. The location is a short drive from Lorn and Maitland so very convenient. We found the wifi very slow, but that might just be operator error :))

However, the breakfast more than made up for it... if there was an espresso machine, it would have been 10/10, but that's why a 9/10. We will be back though as this will be our go to place

I have a big vintage bath in my art deco apartment and the renovated bath at @maddies_of_bolwarra was HUGE! . The room had two beds plus a futon which would have been perfect for larger families. Also travelling with my registered assistance dogs was not a problem. Everything was so easy! . The gardens are amazing! You could sit out the front or back and just watch the sunset or sunrise and listen to birds and watch the wildlife. . I couldn’t finish this review without declaring the continental breakfast was like NOTHING, I have had at any Australian BnB. There was eggs, cold meats, cheese, avocado, smoked salmon, fresh bread, cereals and a fruit platter that no one could finish! This was every morning. Plus the coffee and tea facilities. The house is an old renovated country homestead and it’s full of charm! If you like no character and white, please move on! But if you feel at home in a grand old house, this is the stay for you!!!

- Marilyn (10/5): Totally Pampered! - The perfect, relaxing getaway made possible by Alison, who went out of her way to make sure our stay would be the best! Every detail was there. The room was so comfortable, lovely grounds to wander around with settings to enjoy the scenery and serenity. Could it get better, wait until breakfast - what a way to start the day. Maddies is also handy to the attractions of the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens. Thanks Alison for your making us feel so welcomed. Nothing.

- Ces (8/5): Great option travelling with a dog. - Location, ambiance, friendly staff. What a pleasure to have somebody to talk to you on arrival. No hint of a suggestion that anything later than 3pm would require access to a key safe! Alison is knowledgeable about the area from walks to the best way to get to Sydney without spending an extra hour on the motorway. A great place to stop and have time to smell the roses. Nothing
- Joel (10/5): - The property is beautiful, with a stunning garden. The room was very clean, and had everything we needed. Great location as it was very quiet, and was conveniently close to some restaurants for dinner. Allison made the most amazing breakfast for us, and even accommodated an early breakfast for us so we could get on the road. Highly recommend!

- simon (10/5): - Property was very cute. Bed in the romantic suite very comfortable & Alison made a beautiful breakfast. Easy to communicate with regarding our late check in & didnt see another guest until breakfast the next morning. Beautiful place to chill.

- Ayres (8/5): comfy & better than expected :) - Lovely tucked away place, very comfortable and close to some nice pubs and resteraunts. A great breakfast was served in the morning. The garden area is also nice to stroll around. The back/side of the property needs some tidying up but it looks like its work in progress and didnt interfear with the stay at all.
- Charlotte (10/5): Cute place - Cute room, easily accessed with our very late check in. Breakfast was wonderful. Host was very nice and accommodating.
- Nicole (9/5): Beautiful and cozy bed and breakfast - The room was very large and comfortable. It had all the amenities that you may require, very thoughtful. We also really enjoyed the large spread of breakfast, thank you for all your efforts :)
- Kirsten (2/5): Very poor - The lady that runs the place very nice ans welcoming.. The bed was too hard and the other guest were nosie.. I end up leaving at midnight cause I couldn't sleep cause of the noise

I was able to travel with my dogs, who were welcomed and encouraged to room the gardens. The rooms had no kitchen facilities. You needed to go into the dining area to make tea/coffee.
