The pool and gardens were just beautiful and the cafe was so convenient with great food and great opening hours. Our room was dated and dark. While it was reasonably clean, the couch looked worn and dirty and I wiped dust off the coffee table.

• Yvonne (8/5): - The pool was great. Location next to the coast and boardwalk, and near shops was great. Designated undercover parking spot was useful. The undercover parking was a bit of a rabbit warren and the numbering was a little weird but once we found our designated spot it was all good. A lift for getting bags up and down would be nice as three flights of stairs was a mission. Our room was older but still acceptable for the price.

• Kate (9/5): A relaxing three nights. - Advice re building and restaurants nearby. Clean and comfortable. Loved the deck we would have used more if it wasn’t raining. Location was great. We will carry a non slip mat in future for ease of getting out of the bath/ shower. We laid down a hand towel. Easy.

• Alistair (7/5): I knew I was renting fairly cheap, for the location, accommodation - walking 3 sets of stairs, worst location and balcon - Locality to Golden Beach and the shops and Chilli 89 Cafe. Price. Underground car park - especially when the hail storm came. Room location next to the main garage entrance and noise from cars in early mornings and sound of the wheely bins being rolled to the road in the early morning. As an international visitor with no unlimited data on my phone, the No Internet in the room was a big annoyance. I only realised this after I had paid for the room - otherwise I would probably not have booked it. The roll-up blinds in the bedroom were very annoying. I like to sleep with no air conditioning and windows open but at night any breeze would move the blinds and they would bang against the walls making it difficult to sleep. The apartment is old but functional and reasonably comfortable. The toilet flush was continuously running and noisy at night so I had to turn the water off to the toilet at night. I informed the Manager the day before I left and am sure it will be fixed. For someone staying for more than 1 week it would have been nice to have shelves in the cupboards (only hanging space) so I could move my clothes out of my suitcase.

• Charlotte (9/5): Great location, neat and tidy and very quiet - very quite area, excellent safe parking, appreciated both the pool and the closeness to the beach, aircon worked perfect, nice balcony, just big enough for us, it was not that I didn't like it, just not really practical or safe with the power outlet in the kitchen being inside the bottom cupboard, and no other powerpoint above the kitchen bench.. we did not use the kettle and made no coffee.

• Behrens (7/5): Pretty good - Great location, friendly helpful staff, unit was generally nice. Couch was very uncomfortable, Foxtel didn't work, and the three flights of stairs to get to the apartment was a bit of a struggle, we had been warned about the stairs though. No washing powder.

• Pearl (8/5): Overall it was a great stay. Little things do matter. Don't stint on essential like loo paper. - The unit had everything needed ( except for consumables listed below). Pots pans, cutlery etc for 4 people. There was a washing machine and dryer and good air-conditioning and fans. All the electricals worked. Loved the pool and spa. Very well designed for all age groups. Easy to access from our unit 212. We had a partial view as we were on the 2nd floor. That was fine. We were in a unit# 212 which was accessible by stairs. We should have asked how many as we are 74 and 62 years respectively. My partner has some issues with balance.If you have issues with stairs and carry things up 2 flights of stairs from the garage, ask for room/rooms without stairs. The floor wasn't mopped and clean when we checked in. Unless I had footwear, the soles of my feet were black. From a safety point of view, the hot water is set at a very high temperature and it heats up so quickly it is easy to scald oneself. We were these for 4 days but was told as it is self contained, they only provide 1 roll of loo paper, 2 sachets of dishwashing liquid, 2 sachets of dishwasher powder, 2 sachets of clothes washing powder. So if you are staying more than 2 days, bring all the above. Coffee, tea and milk was also minimal.

People whining about the stairs it clearly states that it's a studio with stairs, it's 3 flights. Great for exercise & I did it alone with kids. It also stated no wifi, most people should have hotspot so not a problem for us. The noise at night with neighbours coming in and out banging gates. Just respect. Staff can't manage this, even with signs up asking to keep the noise and close doors quietly!!

• Elizabeth (10/5): Lovely place to be on the water - The view from the balcony was sublime and the apartment was much bigger and more comfortable and supplied than I had expected. The cafe downstairs is always busy because it’s a good place to be. Further away from the airport than I had realized and the beach is only swimmable at certain times but there is nothing wrong with the resort pool at those times

There are stairs for some of the apartments and if have older guests could be a problem. Also, we didn't have Wi-Fi in our apartment so had to go down to cafe to speak to family overseas

• Julie (9/5): Perfect 3 night getaway - I loved that it was quieter than Caloundra. The sand across the road was lovely and soft. Lovely and flat to walk. The pool was my favourite spot. I didn't get to try the Cafe, it was always full. The view from the third floor was stunning. The apartment size was perfect for one person. A lovely supply of shops close by. I would come back again. Enjoyed watching the kite surfers. I forgot there was a gym to use. The gardens are lovely. The stairs were really hard on my knees. As I have two painful knees. I didn't like someone who smoked close by, and the smell blew into my windows.
